  1. Anyone else get worse performance since the last patch (1.1.4)? Ever since that patch (1.1.4) Ilum has become a slideshow for me with the worst being the Hitch I get every time the "node status quests" updates (when in OPS). My video card is terrible, but the rest of my PC is top of the line. The game runs great in wz and normal raid combat except when in ilum and fighting heavy pvp. Is there a way to turn off spell effects for raid members? Seems the lightning and ground AOE effects that cause most of the FPS problems.
  2. Excellent comparison. Really bad spelling (and I am a horrible speller) Wud Win? really...
  3. Marauder PVP Bugs: - Force Charge sometimes sends you into outer space (under the world?) - Marauder Ravage goes off but does not apply damage to target and locks you in animation - Force Camo during other combat animations keeps you "semi" invisible (show sabers and glowing eyes plus cc effects). - Force Charge a player being pulled or doing a force charge themselves leaves you far from target. - Force Charge is described as: "Jumps to a distant target, dealing high damage with the main-hand weapon, immoblizing the target for 2 seconds and interrupting the target's current action. Builds 3 rage. Cannot be used against targets in cover. " But the target is rarely if ever immobilized for 2 seconds.
  4. For me it's all about the pvp since that is all I do. 1. Find a better way to acquire pvp gear. random comms is not a good idea. 2. Don't let snare stack, don't reset counter on snare until current one finishes. 3. Reduce the cost of respec 4. dual spec 5. resolve is the worst system of cc immunity EVER! 6. nurfbat on CC 7. burn down illum and restart 8. fix hitching in open pvp
  5. LOL I had to walk over a mile to school every morning in -40c weather. Today if you made your kid do that you would be charged with child abuse. Most people that complain about this stuff have no idea what it will take in the real world to succeed.
  6. This UI change was obviously a knee jerk reaction to try and save some subs from the massive launch. I have been designing UI for over 10 years and never have I seen such a poor idea. Bioware needs to look at the core of the problem that different states of readiness are not distinguishable between each other IN PERIPHERAL VISION of most people. I don't know about you but I do not stare at the hotbar as a marauder. I need indication that a skill is one or more of the following: 1. Ready 2. Cooldown 3. Useable (aka in range ) 4. Not Useable (out of range or not enough rage/force/ammo/heat) 5. GCD
  7. Normally I don't jump on the h8 wagon. But as a marauder, I logged in for 1 game and I could tell everything was off. 1. Marauder DPS increase was not there, some are saying it was decreased? 2. Ended a warzone in victory (did not get credit). 3. Ability bars are a nightmare to learn, it feels like I am learning a brand new game. Just doesn't feel right. Ability delay did seem better, BUT it seems everytime they fix ability delay it favors the ranged classes more.

    Faction Balance

sure BW has their hands full trying to balance out classes in pvp already. This would just add fuel to the fire. just look at warhammer, they tried to create distinctly different classes for each side and ended up just being flame fuel for people to complain about.

    Pvp Time outs

I agree and disagree. The first set of doors in voidstar are to close together, and in most cases the spawn is to close to the doors in my opinion. Adding space between doors and moving the spawn further from goals would allow them to reduce the timer on the windows. Personally I think timeout timer design is bad practice in any competitive arena. Doing so implies luck will start factoring in to close matches that should only ever be decided by skill/team work. for example in hutball, you could die a fraction of a second after the window goes up and wait as you watch someone approach the goal and score OR you could get "lucky" and spawn a second after the window went down, pop out and kill someone trying to score. I would be in favor of reconfiguration to allow matches without the Timer. Its a game.. I feel "robbed" out of gametime when stuck behind timeout windows.
  10. really you should try reading first. I don't care about having to grind for it. I would just like to grind for it BEFORE getting tossed into a pit of wolves as a little sheep with toothpics to fend off my muffin.
  11. Ya, I was hoping it would be a playable race to start. But then again ever single person in the game would probably be 2 feet tall. *Signs Petition to have Jawa race expedited into the game*
  12. well I was level 50 / valor rank 50 when I opened 6 champ bags last night and got 1 implant.
  13. LOL no no. You grind AND get your muffin pounded. Sorta like a new fish in a prison...
  14. well you are restricted to the same valor level as your own level so you will still have to do 50-60 to get to the next level of pvp gear. But I do agree, there may be a lack of incentive for some players. Not me. I have played 3rd person shooters at max level for months > years without any need for progression. Maybe a set of blue level 50 gear would be the answer. A set you can grind pre-50 and be a little more prepared and competitive entering this bracket.
  15. I did this and got 1 implant. I can deal with the grind, but not a grind that consists of the frequent pounding of my muffin.
  16. This man is correct. I have tried buying multiple. The bag is even named "UNIQUE" in the title.
  17. The point is not to be able to beat lesser skilled players but to be at very least competitive entering 50 bracket. Some people like apples, I like oranges... but oranges are restricted to one per person and can only peal it when I turn 50.
  18. I had been taking my time leveling through casual pvp and storyline quests. It was very exciting when the 1.1 patch came out and only play against gear appropriate players only. For the casual pvp player, it went from the game being very frustrating/unplayable to good competition and hours of fun warzoning every night. Yesterday I hit 50 and it was like instant recall back to before the 1.1 patch. While I do understand the need for higher competition mixed in with the fresh fish I can't wrap my head around why Bioware restricts pre-50s from saving up for gear prior to entering the 50 pvp bracket. I know in beta you could buy champion bags and store them for when you hit 50, which I would have done (seeing as I am strict pvp player and wasted literally 10s of thousands of WarZzone coms) and entered the 50 bracket a little more gear appropriate and prepared. As it stands with my 40-49 gear on my 50 marauder I hit players like I have 2 wet noodles in my hand. As a melee toon that needs to get into the "scrum" I have less hit points then most ranged sorcs and take insane damage to the point I am going from 100% health to 10% before 2 GCDs go off. At this point I'm a lost cause and will have to go through the pvp gear grind with the frequent muffin poundings for days and weeks to come. For upcoming casual pvp players I ask you to reconsider removing the unique status of champion bags and allow players to pre-purchase champion gear prior to entering the 50 only bracket. Please understand, I'm not into the raiding or pve and yes I do understand this is not a pvp game but I think this issue is a valid point of concern for the growing population of casual players entering into the 50 bracket. TL;DR --- Remove the unique attribute of champion gear bags so pre-50s can save up gear and be competitive in the 50 warzone bracket.
  19. imo the only class worthy of a hybrid build is the sorc. the rest of the trees seems to lack (even penalize) you for going up a different tree, marauder most of all (aka. each tree focuses on a different attack form).
  20. I guess if givin to the right person that may be the only way ranged > melee right now.
  21. I guess the bottom line is in SWTOR there is actually room for debate that melee is stronger than ranged where every other MMO has seen significant advantage always towards ranged.
  22. I guess. Maybe everyone thinks ranged is still the king because of the AOE damage in this game and the fact melee are always in the "scrum" and ranged position to fire AOE into the "scrum". On thing I am glad SWTOR didn't add was the AOE pull mechanic. Gawd that was brutal in warhammer.
