  1. Yes, but way more people come to the PvP forums than server forums, and so to lower any confusion, he put POT5 in brackets, excluding all other servers and letting readers know this pertains only to POT5.
  2. You should, instead of making a universal statement, reiterate that "you" don't give a crap. This is the PvP forum, this thread concerns PvP, ergo it's not misplaced.
  3. Because QQ, while believed by many to be a pair of crying eyes, actually originated in Warcraft 2. The fast way to quit a game was Alt+Q+Q, so when you tell someone "QQ," you're actually telling them to quit. In other words, OP is telling people to quit... Quitting, so yes, this thread is actually exactly where it belongs, and you leave educated on the history of QQ. That's a double whammy
  4. For PvP I hope this answers your question. Both TK and Balance will do considerable damage. Since you are above 25 TK will be great with a chance at instant cast Force in Balance. But here's one sentence that sums up everything. TK has considerable burst damage and is best used outside the fray, while Balance has the better ability to kite and stay on the move.
  5. No, I think he meant that they all rolled imperial toons together and made a guild for the imperial side as well.
  6. Well I think also, if I'm right, that in the older days, they were much more well trained to use the force in their duels, so fights were more fast paced and flashy. Once Luke basically became the only jedi in the universe, he didnt have a whole whole lot of training, and when he fell to the dark side temporarily without fully turning, he brought balance to the force. Now, I COULD be wrong, but yes I do pride myself on giving you guys good material.
  7. You gotta admit the pod racing is cool, and the saber duel is well choreographed
  8. Sorry it's so short, but it's all I could dig up for now Anakin: Are you a rated PvPer? Queen Amidala: What? Anakin: A rated PvPer. I've heard the deep space pilots talk about them. They live on the moons of Iego, I think. They're the most leet players in the universe. Queen Amidala: You're a funny little boy. How do you know so much? Anakin: I read all the forums and youtube comments posted. I'm a PvPer, you know, and someday I'm going to transfer away from this server.
  9. You kiddin? I ain't THAT easy to get rid of my grenade tossing, imperial slaying, damage dealing, heal delivering butt is staying riiiiiiight here
  10. Hello Pot5. I transferred here on the day transfers went live, and have enjoyed my experience so far, and am absolute certain that regardless of what people say about Bastion being better or worse than Pot5, I am here to stay. I want to start off by saying that I do not currently have any level 55s, but rather everything from 25-50. I play both factions, and what is listed in my sig is everything that I have on Pot5, with the sniper and guardian being at level 50. I was looking to see if any PvP guilds would be interested in seeing what I'm made of, and hopefully take me into your little family. I've got no ego, and am willing to work my way from the bottom all the way up to the top. And if I never make it to the top, I'm only here to have fun. I'm also open to running any spec of the classes I have. I have the mindset of doing what is best for the guild instead of myself. Thank you in advance and please let me know what you have available.
  11. Ignorance can be educated, uncoordination trained, lack of knowledge enlightened, tactics can be taught, classes learned, but my friend, rage quitters are forever.
  12. Noooo! My pot5 reputation is ruined! Guess I should xfer to the Bastion where I'll be accepted. ;~;
  13. If pull doesn't work while you're in cover then that's my mistake. I don't play a shad or an assassin and I made an assumption that was obviously incorrect. My apologies.
  14. Here's my take on this. Some classes can yank you out of your cover regardless of whether or not they have seismic grenades. Consulars/Inquisitors have knockback, Mercenaries/Commandos have knockback, Guardians/Juggernauts have Push, Powertechs/Vanguards have pull, Assassins/Shadows have pull, and all this time, your way of avoiding it is Entrench/<GS Skill name> to make you CC immune for its duration. Seismic grenades are just another tool used by people to knock you out of cover. It's part of the game, because if there was no way to knock you out of cover, then it cost and arm and a leg and more than 50% of someone's health pool just to get to you, then be knocked back again. You have to outsmart your enemies, because they will be using those grenades, and when they do and you're ready for it, you'll know exactly how to counter. I made a Marauder thoroughly confused on my sniper. He caught me out of cover and force charged me up on the high boardwalk in Huttball. When I knocked him back, he force camouflaged and returned to me. Little did he know that since I'm marksman, my ambush would also knock him back, down into the pit. After the game he accused me of hacking until I told him about the ambush knockback, to which he said "I definitely didnt see that coming."
  15. If nothing else, here's one other thing I can point out about the two servers. People on the Bastion say they're the short bus server. Well here's an accurate description of BOTH. The Bastion players ride the short bus, we players at Pot5 drive the bus.
  16. Everything concerning the picture, and every bit of harassment I reported But all that's over, we're back on topic
  17. I'm not certain if this is 100% accurate, but this is from my own pwrsonal experience. In the 1 week I spent on both servers before transfers went live, I noticed that both servers have quitters, those will exist on every server, however the fewest I saw were on Pot5. The Bastion had more quitters than I saw on Pot5.
  18. I would say that if that's really the case, that the republic is winning more than they once did, then that FIXED the server. It made it so that the Imperials now have the thought process of "Alright, we CAN lose." Which makes for a more exciting PvP community. If you win every... single... time, you'll get bored fast and quit.
  19. What about those who are central? They'll have identical ping on either server.
  20. But seriously, no I don't have experience with level 55 warzones. I only had experience with 50 warzones back during 1.1-1.2, during the good old days of Ajunta Pall PvP. I came back after all of the server merges happened, about a month and a half ago to be honest, and found myself on the shadowlands and pot5. That was when I started doing my homework, reading forums, watching videos posted by people from both servers, and what ultimately made my decision was Cilas' world PvP events. I love some warzones don't get me wrong, but I also love some OWPvP. Like the days of Stranglethorn Vale PvP in WoW
  21. Great gameplay footage. I learned a few things from this video, thank you.
  22. You're right, I haven't participated in it, I've got no problem admitting that. It's just that with the general public's opinion on the current state of PvP, most of the people I see on the fleet are alts. People tend to prefer playing lowbie PvP right now, so that's the reason I focused so hard on that part
  23. 1) no 2) several on both. That's why I mainly put an emphasis on leveling brackets queue time.
