  1. I ask this because I maimed their mirror classes at launch. I've always played Vigilance on my guardian and combat on my sentinel, but 1) my guild has all moved on to FF14 and the server my toons are on are predominately imperial. 2) my rl friends started playing recently, and rolled on The Bastion. They play imperial and I loved my warriors too much to roll anything else. Which between a vengeance juggernaut or a carnage marauder should I level to 55 in your opinions? I'm not looking for which class can 1v1 better because that doesn't happen enough to take into consideration. I am looking for most utility between the two classes. I already know not to use guard in vengeance spec, and I know each has their pros and cons, but which of those two would you wish to see more on your team?
  2. I am a returning player seeking advice as far as PvP is concerned. I won't ask which class is the most OP, as I've always hated playing FotM classes. I ask you which class do you believe brings the most utility to both warzones and arenas. In other words, which class offers the most utility in all PvP scenarios? I've been told sorcs and sages are nearly worthless, I've been told op and scoundrel heals are retarded, I've been told combat sents and carnage maras being scary burst damage. Which class do you want most on your team?
  3. I "did" unsubscribe, and you don't have to put up with me any more. I have as much of a right to a good game as the rest of you do, but the PvP community in this one is too neglected, ignored, pushed to the back burner, and when I find myself no longer enjoying a game no matter how hard I try to, I just give up on it. Warframe is great, graphics are beautiful, it runs so smoothly, and its just a great alternative to the bread and butter mmo. Give it a try and I promise you won't be disappointed.

    Pot5 pubs

I love you guys to death, but seriously, stop playing so selfishly. Play the objective not the scoreboard numbers. Guard your healers, don't ignore them. Last night in a voidstar I defended a door by myself against 3 imperials, called for help three times, nobody came. Not only did they end up killing me, but before they planted on the door I was solo guarding, but before they even did that they managed to plant on the door where the other 7 pubs were. That's just sad. "You mad?" Last night, absolutely yes I was. "Cry some moar." No crying involved, I went and hopped on Warframe and kicked some butt with Saryn, with a big smile on my face. "L2P". At what point do you draw the line? Defending by yourself, the odds are stacked against you by a long shot, and I can only do so much before I die. "Do carebear PvE if you can't handle losing." No, I can handle losing, but just like winning every time gets boring really fast, losing every time gets boring even faster and just makes you want to pull your eye lashes out one by one, backflip off of the rafters and land on a single stick of vermicelli while singing the lyrics to Tastes Like Kevin Bacon by Iwrestledabearonce... Backwards. There's my rant. Do with it what you will, but I don't see myself coming back until 2.4 is released, maybe by then the pubs will have gotten their act together, and PvP will be enjoyable. Bonsoir, mes amis.
  5. Unfortunately there's nothing that can be done with the current matchmaking system. Just like a big group of dps wipes the floor with everything, a group of healers prevents anything from dying. The thing is, we can MAKE it better by respeccing in warzones to balanced teams. One tank, two healers, five dps. This would make things better, in my opinion.
  6. Prepare thyself, for my sentinel shall be there soon and I'd love to be able to do a few warzones against you before you hit 54.
  7. Yep c: school A may be public, while school B is Catholic where there may not be nearly as many oppressive jerks
  8. I'm actually highly considering bringing a couple of toons over to the bastion. Pot5 is nice and all, but there are too many trolls. Plus there have been a number of occasions where I have been personally attacked and insulted and slandered and I of course can't share the names of these bigots due to a ToS agreement, buuuuuut yeah. I also really enjoy your threads and posts, you're very intelligent and an all around good gamer. Count on me being there, and count on my sentinel being on your server tonight.
  9. Thank you. Thank you thank you thank you. Premades are nothing more and nothing less than a group of people smart enough to play with those whom they know and trust. They have good communication, they have good coordination, they have the perks that a solo queuer doesnt have. In the end, there's nothing wrong. The solo queuers lost, try again next warzone.
  10. XD ohhhhh you poor soul. That's not gangster, that's c.o.o.n.a.s.s. if I was trying to be gangster I'd be sucking my teeth every sentence
  11. It's frowned upon because its much more difficult to stay on your target where focus gives you zealous leap. I play vigilance myself because its so much more fun and the extra flippy moves like overhead slash make for a cooler looking spec. But people say focus brings bigger numbers, and instead of worrying about utility they worry about dps.
  12. I personally don't pay attention to my character's animations, but rather them supa crits I be pumpin out on dat sentinel, sha. Aw yeah, ah likes da crits, dey be nicer to see den dem animations. Tell you what, I take watchin dat lovely 8.5k crit pop ova ya head den watchin ma sentinel twirl dem light sticks around. Down in da bayou, we be takin pride in our numbers, sha. If it look pretty but it don't shoot, it ain't no gun to hunt with.

  14. Well in warzones, they have what's called Bolster, which gives every player in the warzone the exact same base stats, meaning that even if you're level 10 and the Jedi is level 25, if you outplay him you will beat him. Now, in open world such as Tatooine, someone way higher level than you will wipe the floor with you. As far as someone draining your life while regenerating their own, the only thing I can think of off the bat is that it was a Jedi sage healer, since their shield heals them every second, while he was doing damage to you. MMOs are a whole new world of gaming, and they take some getting used to, and even more practice. But trust me, once you get the feel of MMOs, you'll be familiar with every other MMO as well. Welcome to SWTOR, but more importantly, welcome to real gaming
  15. They already have put an end to madness. How many madness sins do you see in ranked?
  16. Truth. However, it SHOULD be Conqueror > Partisan > crafted 54 gear
  17. I've been mostly playing Warframe trying to level up Saryn and Trinity, but when I do get back on I'll be sure to message you c:
  18. there's a reason my legacy is Belle, and 4 characters are named Sweetie c:
  19. This is a rewrite of my favorite skit titled Who's On First by Abbot and Costello. Enjoy <3 Abbott: Well Costello, I'm going to The Bastion with you. You know Bucky Harris, the team's manager, gave me a job as team leader for as long as you're on the team. Costello: Look Abbott, if you're the team leader, you must know all the players. Abbott: I certainly do. Costello: Well you know I've never met the guys. So you'll have to tell me their names, and then I'll know who's playing on the team. Abbott: Oh, I'll tell you their names, but you know it seems to me they give these huttball players now-a-days very peculiar names. Costello: You mean funny names? Abbott: Strange names, pet names...like Dizzy Dean... Costello: His brother Daffy. Abbott: Daffy Dean... Costello: And their French cousin. Abbott: French? Costello: Goofè. Abbott: Goofè Dean. Well, let's see, we have playing the roles, Who's our tank, What's our healer, I Don't Know is our sentinel Costello: That's what I want to find out. Abbott: I say Who's our tank, What's our healer, I Don't Know's our sentinel. Costello: Are you the team leader? Abbott: Yes. Costello: You gonna be the instructor too? Abbott: Yes. Costello: And you don't know the fellows' names? Abbott: Well I should. Costello: Well then who's our tank? Abbott: Yes. Costello: I mean the fellow's name. Abbott: Who. Costello: The guy who tanks. Abbott: Who. Costello: The team tank. Abbott: Who. Costello: The guy tanking... Abbott: Who is our tank! Costello: I'm asking YOU who's our tank. Abbott: That's the man's name. Costello: That's who's name? Abbott: Yes. Costello: Well go ahead and tell me. Abbott: That's it. Costello: That's who? Abbott: Yes. PAUSE Costello: Look, you gotta tank? Abbott: Certainly. Costello: Who's tanking? Abbott: That's right. Costello: When you pay off the tank every month, who gets the credits? Abbott: Every dollar of it. Costello: All I'm trying to find out is the fellow's name who tanks. Abbott: Who. Costello: The guy that gets... Abbott: That's it. Costello: Who gets the money... Abbott: He does, every dollar. Sometimes his wife comes down and collects it. Costello: Who's wife? Abbott: Yes. PAUSE Abbott: What's wrong with that? Costello: Look, all I wanna know is when you sign up the tank, how does he sign his name? Abbott: Who. Costello: The guy. Abbott: Who. Costello: How does he sign... Abbott: That's how he signs it. Costello: Who? Abbott: Yes. PAUSE Costello: All I'm trying to find out is what's the guy's name who tanks. Abbott: No. What is our healer. Costello: I'm not asking you who's our healer. Abbott: Who's our tank. Costello: One role at a time! Abbott: Well, don't change the players around. Costello: I'm not changing nobody! Abbott: Take it easy, buddy. Costello: I'm only asking you, who's the guy who tanks? Abbott: That's right. Costello: Ok. Abbott: All right. PAUSE Costello: What's the guy's name who tanks? Abbott: No. What is our healer. Costello: I'm not asking you who's our healer. Abbott: Who's our tank. Costello: I don't know. Abbott: He's our sentinel, we're not talking about him. Costello: Now how did I get to our sentinel? Abbott: Why you mentioned his name. Costello: If I mentioned the sentinel's name, who did I say is the sentinel? Abbott: No. Who's our tank. Costello: What's our tank? Abbott: What's our healer. Costello: I don't know. Abbott: He's our sentinel. Costello: There I go, back on the sentinel again! PAUSE Costello: Would you just stay on the sentinel and don't go off it. Abbott: All right, what do you want to know? Costello: Now who's playing the sentinel? Abbott: Why do you insist on putting Who as our sentinel? Costello: What am I putting on sentinel. Abbott: No. What is our healer. Costello: You don't want who's our healer? Abbott: Who is our tank. Costello: I don't know. Abbott & Costello Together: Sentinel! PAUSE Costello: Look, you got a stealth group? Abbott: Sure. Costello: The scoundrel's name? Abbott: Why. Costello: I just thought I'd ask you. Abbott: Well, I just thought I'd tell ya. Costello: Then tell me who's playing the scoundrel. Abbott: Who's playing tank. Costello: I'm not... stay out of the main roles! I want to know what's the guy's name playing the scoundrel? Abbott: No, What is our healer. Costello: I'm not asking you who's our healer. Abbott: Who's our tank! Costello: I don't know. Abbott & Costello Together: Sentinel! PAUSE Costello: The scoundrel's name? Abbott: Why. Costello: Because! Abbott: Oh, he's the shadow. PAUSE Costello: Look, You got a vanguard on this team? Abbott: Sure. Costello: The vanguard's name? Abbott: Tomorrow. Costello: You don't want to tell me today? Abbott: I'm telling you now. Costello: Then go ahead. Abbott: Tomorrow! Costello: What time? Abbott: What time what? Costello: What time tomorrow are you gonna tell me who's the vanguard? Abbott: Now listen. Who is not the vanguard. Costello: I'll break your arm, you say who's our tank! I want to know what's the vanguard's name? Abbott: What's our healer. Costello: I don't know. Abbott & Costello Together: Sentinel! PAUSE Costello: Got a Gunslinger? Abbott: Certainly. Costello: The Gunslinger's name? Abbott: Today. Costello: Today, and tomorrow's the Vanguard. Abbott: Now you've got it. Costello: All we got is a couple of days on the team. PAUSE Costello: You know I'm a Gunslinger too. Abbott: So they tell me. Costello: I get on the rafters to do some fancy gunslinging, Tomorrow's the vanguard on my team and a rolling operative rolls into mid. Now the operative grabs the ball. When he grabs the ball, me, being a good gunslinger, I'm gonna burst the ball carrier down. So I pick up the ball and throw it to who? Abbott: Now that's the first thing you've said right. Costello: I don't even know what I'm talking about! PAUSE Abbott: That's all you have to do. Costello: Is to throw the ball to our tank. Abbott: Yes! Costello: Now who's got it? Abbott: Naturally. PAUSE Costello: Look, if I throw the ball to the tank, somebody's gotta get it. Now who has it? Abbott: Naturally. Costello: Who? Abbott: Naturally. Costello: Naturally? Abbott: Naturally. Costello: So I pick up the ball and I throw it to Naturally. Abbott: No you don't, you throw the ball to Who. Costello: Naturally. Abbott: That's different. Costello: That's what I said. Abbott: You're not saying it... Costello: I throw the ball to Naturally. Abbott: You throw it to Who. Costello: Naturally. Abbott: That's it. Costello: That's what I said! Abbott: You ask me. Costello: I throw the ball to who? Abbott: Naturally. Costello: Now you ask me. Abbott: You throw the ball to Who? Costello: Naturally. Abbott: That's it. Costello: Same as you! Same as YOU! I throw the ball to who. Whoever it is drops the ball and the guy runs to our rafters. Who picks up the ball and throws it to What. What throws it to I Don't Know. I Don't Know throws it back to Tomorrow, a fantastic score. Another guy gets up and gets pulled into the fire trap by because. Why? I don't know! He's our sentinel and I don't give a darn! Abbott: What? Costello: I said I don't give a darn! Abbott: Oh, that's our Commando.
  20. Because the main issue has already been addressed and we move on to... Holy crap how DID we get onto this so hard o3o
  21. Nupe, because anyone who sees LOL assumes laughing, because all of those you just named, you used Laugh as the first word. I always thought the crying eye was OQ. Oh great, now you have me thinking. If QQ was a Warcraft 2 thing, how in the world was it taken out of context and defined as crying eyes. What happened to )': ? Is that face not good enough anymore? Now look what you've done. My train of thought just went toot toot and it has no caboose x3x
  22. Allow me to educate you c: QQ, while believed to be a pair of crying eyes, actually means "just quit, you are unskilled." "Sweetie, you're gonna have to explain that." Why certainly, Maniac. I love you and enjoy watching your videos, it's only fair that I educate you. QQ originated in Warcraft 2, where Alt+Q+Q was the fast way to quit a game. So by telling someone to QQ, you're telling them "you suck, just quit." Don't you feel enlightened now?
  23. Here's what I would recommend for you to do when leveling your sentinel, this method really worked for me. Remember you won't get your healing companion until Balmorra (Doc), so you're gonna take a bit of damage with more downtime until you get him. Watchman was nerfed to the Stone Age, especially the self heals. Though the spec is fun, the dots aren't enough to keep up with heals any more. So you have one of two really good choices. What I did was level as combat. It's always good to start in this tree at least, because you won't get the guaranteed sweep crit from focus until later on. Combat offers the most terrifying burst in the game (yes, even more than sins and shads). Why do I say that? Because you are going to have more than one ability fully capable of hitting 8k crits and up, on top of Ataru form's Zen giving you 30% alacrity. You swing those Lightsabers pretty darn fast. And once you hit 30 you'll get a wonderful attack that gives you 100% armor penetration. At 46 you'll get dispatch (execute) and if specced combat, there's a proc to reset its cool down and make it usable on someone regardless of how much health they have. So as you can see, lower levels? Prepare to die a lot... No seriously... A lot. Don't be discouraged by it, because the other classes can laugh all they want, but once you get your big moves, you'll be doing some serious damage. But early on, like I said, be ready to die a whole lot. Level it, and you will find that it is very much worth it.
  24. If PvP developers at BioWare implemented server vs server PvP as seen in DAoC. It would be tricky with two factions but it would add that much more to the PvP community, and it would allow servers to actually put some bite behind their bark instead of being keyboard Rambos on the forums.
