  1. The patch notes when they removed it suggests it was the "shelf" you could not pull anyone onto. What I understand is there is no sweet spot on there, unless they mean the shelf is inside or something.
  2. I would not equate this in anyway to pulling to a firetrap. Firetraps are not instant kills, more than once, I managed to walk out of it even after being pulled. In fact, firetraps have a good fail chance if you do not stun or root the ball carrier. Knowing the next step is to actually get me pinned there, my reaction to being pulled is immediately spam the aoe mezz to throw the puller off balance and step out of the trap (or pass the ball if there is someone closeby). So, firetraps give a fighting chance. For full success, it requires a pull and a root/stun to be used and still, the ball carrier may come out of it if he has cc breaker available. Pulling into safe zone? It is just one skill and it is instant death. No fighting chance. It is nowhere close to being pulled into the fire. This is probably why it was removed from the PVP. If it is still available, probably BW messed up something with the last patch as usual. Nothing surprising when the game developers are incompetent monkeys. But OP, I think your move was pretty cheap and it was an exploit. While anything you do to win could be categorized as "legit", I would put this next to "If you stand on the console, you don't get targeted and you can cap" exploit (which is also taken from the PVP).
  3. This thread reminds me of something my father told me once: "Son, everyone thinks what they got in their pants is the real deal."
  4. Around 3 AM eastern standard time... I think. But I live on the wrong side of the planet, so I may be off a bit.
  5. My comment about "Some of them are bad, some of them are really bad" was aimed to WZ losing, not to people. I am not saying everyone is bad. But in my opinion, the bads/goods ratio goes way higher at those hours. And those guys you listed log in either before, or after the hours of the suck (there is a few more names to be added). And that is usually when the hours of the suck ends and you get more balanced win/lose ratio
  6. TOFN faction wins depend heavily on the hours as far as I can see it. After 3 AM europian standard time, "the Hours of the Suck" on the empire side start. It lasts for a straight 2 or 3 hours, where the empire loses every match. Some of them really bad, some of them just bad. After that, some good players show up and things start to balance out. A little more down the road and the empire side start chain wins.. Somedays. Somedays it is just win 1 lose 1, in a nice way. Earlier than the hours of the suck, there is peak hours of empire. I don't know when it starts exactly to be honest. But in those hours, empire side has winning streaks. Empire side finish their weekly without a loss during that time. These are all my experiences. Possibly in the peak hours, there could be more bad WZs on either side. My observation is only limited through my eyeballs. But the Hours of the Suck is constant. If I play in the WZs during that time, I usually gather awesome(!!!) stories for each WZ (here is one of those gems), about what a(or more than one) teammate did. If anyone on the rep side is claiming they can't win a game, they should log in during that time and finish their weekly.
  7. Look at it this way. F2Pers first level to 50. While they do it, they have a chance to get a taste of sub-50 PVP. If they like it, while leveling they will either sub or keep playing 3 per week and level up. It is not like they will only have 3 WZs, they have storyline, and in between they have WZs. If they like the sub 50 PVP too much, they will sub before hitting 50. If they finish and like their class and pvp up to that point, they will likely sub and give it a try. 3 per week does not look bad to me.

Read the first sentence of the 9th post in this thread. And ignore the second sentence.

    Perfect Ranked Team

make that sage a hybrid telekinetic/heal and you have a deal have you seen what that bubble does?
  10. I play a jugg, I used to be hybrid immortal/vengeance, now I play rage spec. I find the buff to resource management and the cooldown reduction to be unnecessary, while the buff to other skills (such as crit chance and damage increase on vicious throw and vicious slash)... acceptable, lets say. It was damn stupid move to nerf vigilance/vengeance. hmm... let me say it again: IT WAS DAMN STUPID MOVE TO NERF THE VENGEANCE TREE. It was not a game breaking nerf, but the buff to rage and nerf to vengeance/vigilance was the last tip to make people go rage spec, including me. Those who say the dps charts are not everything: The game is objective based. But if I have another rage specced jugg with me, the two of us have the potential to clear the voidstar door at the beginning of the match and send most of the enemy team behind the locked spawn door. DPS is not the king, but it is pretty damn good.
  11. what is the name of the song in the 4v1? also, dont listen to people saying it is sub 50 or level 11s. The merc was 40+, assassin was 41, the marauder was 11 and i did not catch the last one, and you were 34. They had unfair advantage in level and numbers. I liked your video and your comments on it.
  12. Okay, I am pretty sure I have a winner for this one. Civil War: 2-6-0 spread at the beginning, snow/east capped easily and the reps cap grass/west and we are fighting over mid. One of the defenders in snow/east come mid for help and there is a single tank stanced Jugg guarding snow. We fight back and forth and just as we are capping mid, we start getting screams in the ops chat. "W T F why is snow unguarded???" "Snow is unguarded? There was a jugg there!" And someone says: "There are 2 reps capping, and our jugg is waaaaay far away". Apparently, when he saw 2 reps closing in, the solo defender did not feel like he could type "snow 2" or just "help snow" (it is bad but even that would be acceptable). He could do one of the very very bad things and try to fight them off without calling. But what he did is even better: As soon as he saw 2 guys coming, he turned around and ran away from the node and let them cap it. When we asked why he did not call or did not fight, this is his response: "IT IS YOUR FAULT FOR LEAVING ME ALONE THERE. What was I supposed to do, fight 2 guys at the same time???" So, needless to say, a lot of angry responses followed afterwards. And to make things even better, the dude from that point on switched to a guarded node and stayed there and did not, I tell you, DID NOT participate in combat unless he was attacked. I was guarding mid, 3 people came in. The dude was there and he just stayed out. I called 3 people, and defended against them until the help arrived. That.... Right there.. Is the best PUG... Ever. Too bad I don't remember his name but I am sure I will recognize him if I end up with him again.
  13. look at the bright side at least we have the option to set our moods to something angry when we are 1 man down in the WZ
  14. one video post turning into provokings and challenges into duels involving multiple parties is how you know you have a healthy PVP community. Videos. Please. Post them here.
  15. I get home when most of the players are in bed. I am playing from usa, so my 6pm (getting home time) is really 1AM for CET I think (CET is GMT+1 I assume). So I miss most of the action.
  16. WHASP.. you record? WHASP! I can't log in I am at work. I will be at work at that time too. Can't you use... something that records your screen? Like camstudio? It should not slow the computer down and it is free.
  17. The duel.. Has to be recorded and posted here you hear me?!

I don't think that is true.

Ilum kills still give you valor gain message. I did not test if it actually increase, but the buffs as well as the notification you get from each kill still is there
  20. Currently the gear gap is not that bad from what I hear. Recruit MK-2 (someone correct me if I am wrong) gives as much hp as a BM set would, if not more, and it also has 1000 expertise. Considering this is free to any fresh 50, the gear gap is quite insignificant. Any less gap, and they may remove gear completely. Notice, the word "remove gear" instead of making it free for everyone. I don't agree gear makes that much of a difference now. It has its effect, but not something to waste anytime worrying about it as far as I am concerned. I like the current system as long as gear is what we are discussing.
  21. When you que with group and if you miss the pop, after 1.4 you are still qued with group. I think the reason he backfilled is due to that. Possibly that was the reasoning why you still are qued with the group. It is strange that he did not backfilled earlier though.
  22. good good now release your anger and embrace the darkside Metyse, however, is an entirely different story
