  1. The best part is how Bounty Hunter so often means Mercenary/Commando.
  2. Tatooine is the best by far.
  3. I rerolled a Gunslinger a few days ago and the imp teams in the sub-50 warzones I've played against has all been at least 6/8 Marauders and Assassins. I'm not making this up or exaggerating; the imp teams has really been that loopsided.
  4. I don't think this will be that much of a problem in PVP; the burst is still there although slightly nerfed. I'm more worried about PVE where ammo/heat management is much more important.
  5. Vanguard here. "On paper" this looks like an attempt to nerf the burst in PVP that only will gimp the sustained DPS in PVE. In PVP you can get a similar burst by using other attacks and popping cool-downs, while PVE will suffer a lot more because of the decline in ammo generation. I won't judge it before I have tested it, though. Maybe BioWare actually know what they are doing. If the they don't, then it's likely that I will un-sub. Make or break time!
  6. I can't bother to do the math right now, so I'm asking someone else to do it. How significant does the increase in chance to trigger IA have to be to improve our already horrible ammo management? / Bets Vanguard DPS's will tap hammer shot a lot in PVE...
  7. For Voidstar I would add: - Frequently check the minimap. For example; if you outnumber the enemy on your side and only one friendly is by the other door, you might want to run and check what's going on that side.
  8. I have had a lvl 50 Sorc since early Jan (first character I leveled) and I do definitely think the hybrid specs make it OP. My bet is that those of you who are defending (like calling it weak ) the class must be bad players yourselves - either because you don't realize how strong a Sorc can be when using all its powers or because you won't play PVP unless you have the strongest class.
  9. "Please don't nerf my class"-post of the day. At least two or three classes have the same utility was my favorite part.
  10. I have a 50 Sorc and a 50 Vanguard and I feel more like I'm exploiting when I play hybrid spec Sorc than when I could pull ball-carriers to spawn and get healer medals from shockfrozen water as Vanguard. Like someone else said in the thread, my grandmother could do top damage as hybrid spec Sorc; probably by just rolling her face against the keyboard.
  11. The problem is that you (as a team, obviously) need to be able to kill in seconds to cap in Voidstar and Civil War.
  12. Snipers and Slingers do not make up for their major disadvantage in utility by advantage in DPS. With LoS, armor mitigation and cleanse you can even argue that they don't have an advantage in DPS.
  13. LDO, the level designer made the gap and added the speed boost to allow a defender to get to the other side, but didn't realize that it also would allow attacking Sages and Sorcs to do the same. Otherwise there would be speed boosts on both sides. You don't think the designer thought "Oh, I'm going to reward Sages and Sorcs with an opportunity to skip the bridges", right?
  14. Hilarious thread! "Oh noes, I can't use my elite one-button skillz to defend a node against four baddies anymore! And why am I punished for selecting one of the few classes that can cleanse all dots? Damn you, BioWare, I'm unsubbing..."
  15. Semi-exploit. Whoever designed Voidstar wasn't aware that another developer would pump Sorcs and Sages full with all kind of abilities.
  16. After playing a Vanguard and Sorcerer I decided to roll a Sniper for agent class-story. My impression so far is that everything a Sniper can do in PVP, a Sorcerer can do better; including DPS because of LoS. The only thing Snipers got going for them is that tanks can't jump to them when they are in cover. I like playing my Sniper though. It's a challenge and you have to constantly be reading the battlefield and planning.
  17. I won 2 of my 3 dailies today because bad players quit and good players joined and turned the matches around. The current quitting-system is fine as it is, at least today it was.
  18. First defenders wins has always been the case for me. And I think it's quite fair actually as the first attackers otherwise have the advantage of just having to skip a cut-scene while the defenders have to ride speeders and often arrive to spawn after the match has started.
  19. When I play Sorc I always come to think of South Park, the episode where they play ninjas. Cartman: Hold on you guys. I actually have another power. I can see into the future too, but better than Kyle. Let me try it. Kyle: gosh darnit, Cartman! You can't keep making up new powers! Stan: Yeah dude, that's like the fifth power you've come up with! Cartman: I am Bulrog and I have lots and lots of powers. Kyle: No ******e! From now on you only get to have ONE power! So what is it?! Cartman: I have the power to have all the powers I want.
  20. World of Tanks, which is a pure PVP-MMO, has limited the size of premades to 3 players while the total team size is 15. The teams are also balanced by sorting the players into 10 tiers. Quitters and AFKers are rare in that game, even when the top-tiers have nothing to gain and lose more credits than they earn. Bioware should take notes.
  21. That was honestly one of the most fun abilities in history of gaming. It's a shame it was removed (although I fully understand why ).
