  1. Yes which makes it even worse than what you think.. That means that 400k people left even before they gave out a free month of gameplay. So my take on this is if you were one of those who stuck it out and got a free month, you are now calculated into the active subscription base even if you canceled a week after you got it. So basically after 1.2 bombed and everyone decided no to log in anymore and canceled it still counts as an active sub. Which would explain why your fleet is completely empty.. 400k subs lost before the free month given out.. Now how many after! Thats the real question!
  2. its really just KOTOR 3 with some MMO elements that are poorly done. Its really not a bad single player experience at all, in fact it was a great experience leveling but once you complete that. The rest of the MMO mechanics are either 1. missing or 2. done poorly I mean come on, i ran into an opposing faction member about 3 times while leveling to 50 on a pvp server... The fleet is a great concept with poor execution. There is no sense of exploration, datacrons are a nice element but really the only reason you want them is for the pve/pvp edge. I wanted SWTOR to succeed but with EA/Bioware slacking at PR and updating the public on what they are doing. Combine that with sluggish content additions.. I mean really everything in 1.2 should have been in launch. Rated WZs were promised and then canned, no ETA on those just a "coming soon". Ive played enough MMO's over a 12 year span to know when it isnt looking good, it isnt looking good. History will repeat itself. Which is a shame because they have had 6 months to get this ship in open water and they still seem to be stuck at port and now have several leaks....
  3. My argument is really simple and in six months you'll know why. Its not the "whatever" defense, its the "there is a toolbag who wont admit flaws that are evident" defense and trying to point those out to you people is becoming increasingly difficult. Thats okay though, we can all take it with a grain of salt. You will have your opinions and we will have ours. Enjoy playing Swtor!
  4. we already know it will live up to the hype because we have played it already! Metal is right, SWTOR is light years behind what it should have been on release.
  5. Youre trying too hard to prove a worthless point, so go ahead and /facepalm while you still can.
  6. Okay get ready for you to /facepalm yourself! http://newenglandbay.enjin.com/forum/m/3023651/viewthread/2990475-ven-zallow-dying-lets-get-hell-out-here-thread hard data. combine that with torstatus declining trends and about every 3rd post about why this game is failing. Please stop posting now because your anecdotal evidence just got shot to hell.
  7. We have people log in both sides and for 3 hours run a census of who is one what planet (by physically going there), instances, and warzones. You cant tell me you havent noticed a difference in your server population over the past two months? Have they created new servers? Transfers are coming and are desperately needed. I when i state I i mean I. You can twist the words around all you want. You stated yourself that there are plenty of people that feel the same way I do, maybe i am arrogant but at least i wont be stuck playing a stagnant game but hey thats YOUR call
  8. I'm not playing, i havent logged-in from 2 weeks ago. I think a lot of us are here just trying to vent about what happend. Most of us had high hopes for this game and feel like nothing was delivered. I'm not out to make a debacle of what you might like vs what i like. We are different people with different tastes, if you enjoy this than that is great. I read in another thread from a member here that playing SWTOR was just a matter of how many alts you could level before you got tired of it (his was 3). Thats how i feel and several of my guild mates and clearly my server feels. We have an ongoing census of the server by a guild on our server as most nights it peaks at 250 people per side give or take 25.
  9. spare me the 15 year old sarcasm. I ask an honest question as to what you actually do in game because I cant find a single thing that brings me enjoyment. And the internet prognosticators must be right because my server has hardly anyone on at peak hours. Doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out when nobody is home, the door will remain closed.
  10. If anyone played the Beta weekend of GW2 you would know that the BETA of GW2 is more polished than SWTOR is currently. I think we all know the flaws of the game and all the strong points (the few that exist) so there really isnt any point is stating the obvious. This game plays more like a singler player game with some MMO aspects. Ive warzoned my arse off and with nothing to do outside of the now 4 maps for pvp, the population is now stale from the redundancy. PVE was fun for my first character, i dont want to level another one, whats the point? so i can run more laps around my servers empty fleet while i wait 1+ hour for a WZ pop on peak times? This ship is sinking fast, its going the way of the dinosaur and with newer titles on the horizon is going to be hard pressed to see it add new customers because lets face it, those who left arent coming back! To those that still play, i'm glad you're faithful, maybe its your first MMO or you're a die hard Star Wars fan, eventually you too will just get bored. Think of it now, aside from maybe leveling another character, what is it you actually DO in game?
  11. I wrote a thread in the PvP forum (since its maily about PvP) but wanted to share it here for suggestions sake. Can we do something about the useless commendations we have accumlated? http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=323576
  12. I was in my thinking room the other day (the shower) and was running ideas on how pvp could be made better. This thread will have thoughts not by a pre or peri standpoint but from a post WZ/ilum/what to do now perspective. Its clearly evident that there are some class issues, issues with WZ's, and Ilum is a hot mess. This thread isnt going to gripe about them, people are still queing up for Wz's and ilum on my server still has activity on peak hours. My first assessment was on Commendations Commendations are relative to all players seeking to grab gear either in PvE and PvP. For this topic ill stick to PvP but this idea could also be applied to PvE as well. Once a character reaches level 50 we are bombarded by entering the 50's bracket, as a seasoned 50's bracket PvP, this brand new, aged, prime meat is ripe for the taking. Without gear any class can be killed in a few hits by a champ geared player. It's frustrating trying to grind out enough commendations to get full Centurion. Eventually you will do it, but with many breaks to take a valium or maybe "one" to many drinks. Upon attaining said feat you are now on to champion commendations. Which by now you have some, im sure like others you got your weapon first and a few peices of gear here and there. Maybe you got lucky and from opening bags you have a few extra champ peices, if you are me, you've opened over 50+ bags and only to get 1 item. Hey its the luck of the draw. You have now decked out your aresnal of companions and now have a boatload of centurion commendations that are completely worthless. Battlemaster is the next horizon and you like This guy here will express concerns about RNG completely pwning your face when it comes to battlemaster gear. By this time my character now runs slower because of all the Cent/Champ commedations flowing out of his pockets. We need a system, a system to upgrade these commendations. You have put in hard work and should be rewarded as such. Bioware needs to determine a ratio to utilize these nullified commendations and make them work harder. Cent to Champ to BM. Its that easy, other games have similar systems why cant we? Also BM bags should drop a minimum of 1 token per bag, its really not much better than champ gear and if you have proven yourself to get that far, why is it just as hard for a small % increase. These commendations could have an alternate use system as well, such as being used to purchase A. Companion gifts B. Buffs C. Cosmetic/Fluff items D. Titles E. Valor/WZ/Merc F. Crafting Recipes/Mats and G. Dare i say it! PvE gear! I know bioware is addressing the bag system and it is going direct commendations, they are also adding 14 new medals to grab in WZ's. That still doesnt solve the "what am i going to do with these useless comms" problem. My next qualm has to deal with our gear and how we use our gear With the upcoming patch giving us the ability to remove modifications from our gear another idea comes to mind. Why even buy gear at all, why not just have us purchase mods instead? First of all they can be cheaper and put in any armor available in the game. Players will feel more custom and they dont have to buy 2-3 peices of gear to get the "mods they want" that are ideal for them. Having a direct buying capabliity for this seems to work out on all levels. Crafters should also have at least a few recipes capable of entry level PvP/PvE gear (that are level 50 and up) to not feel completely shut down and useless, let alone create an economy that is barely alive. These two fixes i feel could be a short term reliable fix to keep some interested in the game long enough to wait for future fixes. They need to happen, they should have already happend. Some of us are more patient than others and we demand results (that dont break something else in the process). I wont get into class balance and ilum, there are enough threads on those. Is this something we could see Bioware. Can you make this a reality so people dont stagnate from boredom and put to use prior acheivements? I sure hope so.
  13. 40+ champion bags and ive received 1 item, gloves.

    dmg hackers

obvious troll thread, can we delete this?
  15. So you are dirty fighting and are just aoeing everyone... It doesnt mean you do great damage at all, its certainly not effective dmg. Toss a shrap grenade here and there and tab vital shots. Your first pic clearly outlines this.. 75 kills?! who the hell gets 75 kills that isnt aoeing and tab dotting?! If you were decent you would have around high 200s and around 15-20 kills per match. It means you are targeting healers and taking them out, not running around aimlessly applying dots to everyone.
