  1. It all depends on which spec you're going with. I'm assuming you're going carnage if you're playing a high alacrity build. If you want to go 1.3 s gcd build, then you need 2374. Anything above that takes somewhat away from your other stats. The rest you pour into crit, which will give you about 2100. If you want to go 1.4 s gcd, then you need 663 alac. This parses a bit worse in pve, but it's arguably better in pvp. Most people don't care for carnage in pve, so this might be better if you insist on playing carnage. If you're playing anything else, fury or annihil, it's 1213 alac to make the 1.4 s gcd.
  2. The lightsaber is treated as any other piece of gear. Fill it with a hilt, mod, enhancement and augment to compensate for whatever you’re missing: Accuracy to 110% Alacrity to hit the alacrity break points Crit to 3000-3300 (lower with a high alacrity build) Also, you get to throw in a color crystal. At end game should be Eviscerating +41, IIRC. You should have a focus in your offhand that provides extra stats with another color crystal.
  3. Also don’t want to be too much of a jerk, but Sorcs are kinda top of the pyramid now. As are PTs. It’s funny how both were touted as garbo classes, and now they’re top of the heap. Wish they gave that kind of love to carnage maras. In other words, it might be a L2P issue.
  4. The poster above has a point. If you're playing VM FPs then you're not really tanking so much as lending additional dps and soaking up some damage. If you want to feel appreciated as a tank, keep strictly to MM FPs. Everyone loves a decent tank in MM. As for pvp, you can soak up to 2 mil damage and still get no appreciation, and therefore no votes. Tanks are the unsung heroes of pvp. Makes it impossible to bring down healers for people like me who mains a dps. I guess that's why you get more medals for your contributions.
  5. So, uh, yeah... when do you guys plan to put these back into rotation? Kinda sick of 3 pops of old huttball in a row.
  6. I'm sorry, you do. I forgot to put that in. Sniper Volley by itself is pointless without a second Penetrating Blast. So: Penetrating Blast --> Sniper Volley --> Penetrating Blast --> Followthrough
  7. Your set should be either Precise Targeter or Established Foothold. (EF does more damage, but I use both). Tactical should be Agitating Energies or B-O Differential Targeting System. I would go with AE first. Your rotation should be: Start with Corrosive Dart. Once this is up, you should never have to apply this again if you're using Agitating Energies. Penetrating Blast --> Sniper Volley --> Followthrough Snipe --> Snipe --> Followthrough Ambush --> Followthrough Repeat minus Sniper Volley till it's off CD Couple things to remember: Sometimes you can sneak an extra Snipe in before Ambush before Ambush comes off CD. Drop Entrench any time you're about to start your Penetrating Blast rotation. Extra damage comes from using Established Foothold if you grabbed this set. Make sure you take the talent that lowers the CD on Entrench. Laze Target should be used before Ambush, but it's off the global CD so you can fit it in anywhere before Ambush. LT makes Ambush an autocrit. Target Acquired should be used any time it's off CD. It speeds up your Alacrity so you can shoot stuff faster. There are other things to consider like when to use an adrenal, when to use Orbital Strike, what the opener should be when fighting a raid boss, etc. This is for PVE, btw. PVP is an altogether different thing. I would practice this before trying to figure out what to do in PVP. Hope this helps.
  8. And yet you come back to the same point. I heal all three, ops, merc and sorc. All three are fine. You would get absolutely zero definitive evidence from two healers dueling each other, because if both are worth their salt, then neither would be able to kill the other.
  9. Holo-Locate seems to be the devs' answer to snipers getting focused in pvp. I'm speculating, so I don't know. The issue with Holo-Locate and Force Camo for that matter, is that you have to take advantage of a cheesy mechanic to make effective use of them. Since Marauders and Snipers have no real directed self-healing abilities, they're forced to run around a corner and hide and wait until they're out of combat to heal themselves, thereby taking them out of the fight. That's why sorcs make much better use of Phase Walk, because they can directly heal themselves without risk of interruption (while in combat). IMO, especially Holo-Locate needs to be reworked, especially since they don't stealth while doing it. Which is why Force Camo is better in this regard. Maybe give Holo-Locate a percentage heal after doing it?
  10. Why on earth does it matter who wins in a duel between two healers? I literally have no idea what you're talking about right now.
  11. You're right, Scrapper is burst and Ruffian is dot spec. To say either is the absolute for pve or pvp is not really true. Nominally, Ruffian is the preferred for raids. Parses top 3 most damage out of all classes, and can even offheal in a pinch. However, to say that it doesn't work in pvp is just plain silly. Does fantastic in regs and ranked. Easy to spread the DOTS love because the AOE dot spread is so easy to do. The burst from Scrapper is disgusting now. And since there are so many good tacticals for Scrappers, they even parse well in raids. Plus, so easy to play... I believe Scoundrel is the broken class of 6.0. Assassins get the bad rap, but I think Scoundrel/Operative are the current kings of the meta.
  12. While I certainly wouldn't object to a buff to Carnage, it's not in the terrible spot everyone seems to think it is. Just because it parses on the bottom of the barrel, doesn't mean it's garbage. I switched from Fury to Carnage in 6.0 cause frankly, I'm sick of Fury. It's clunky and lacks the grace and fluidity of Carnage. I won't go back into sr anymore because I miss the cc immunity of Fury, but at least it's fun to play my Marauder again in regs. I'd like to climb solos again, but I don't miss it that much. I still end in top 3 dps in most games I play, and I have a lot of fun. In SWTOR, you can get away with playing anything you want, and still be successful.
  13. Lol. Best class in the game, concealment or lethality. Get it while it’s hot.
  14. I'm assuming you mean PVE. Never tried parsing Tactics, but this seems reasonable. https://vulkk.com/2019/12/29/swtor-6-0-tactics-vanguard-pve-guide/ PVP is different, but mainly consists of spamming assault cannon between your hardest hitting attacks. Set up is with Assault Plastique and Gut, and then attack spams and cannon.
  15. I simply think their damage should be buffed. Since so many cooldowns help with DEF. Aside from Clashing Blast, all our damage is white. Correspondingly, we should be able to hit harder. It takes a lot of APM to align all our buffs to our heaviest hitters, I just think the base damage damage on those abilities should be raised. This'll put us in a better spot PVE and PVP-wise.
  16. Revitalized I think is still the set for heals. Not because it’s great, but we’re still chained to 1.5 off of Healing Trance. One for All (I think that’s the one) is the tactical for more healing on a group Salvation. Again, not great. Yep, 0 Accuracy. Alacrity at 1213, or a bit more for 1.4. Max Crit, although many make a case for more Versatlie Augs for Mastery. Problem is there’s probably too much Crit in Enhancements and not a lot of great options for healers in earpiece and implants other than Crit. Plus, you’re scaled to a max Mastery and Power in pve content at SM or VM (except for Dxun). Seers are sorely in need of a better look by BW. Our class sets and tacticals lack usefulness and punch. I pull pretty good numbers, but a good scoundrel or commando can put me to shame in parse.
  17. I know a few people have brought this up in the past, but the faerie fire animation of Artillery Blitz is awful. As silly as it sounds, I don't use it in any of my rotations. Often, I main tank for my guild, and I can't speak to how well the ability is at grabbing aggro. it's simply something I don't use. Which leads to something else. I used to enjoy jumping on my VG for anything from FP's to WZ's, but I can't stand playing the class anymore. It's just not fun. The VG is a shadow of its former glory, and I can't point to anything in particular. Maybe it's the short range. Maybe it's the crappy animations. I'm hoping some time in the near future VG's get some love.
  18. Technically, there is no accuracy cap in the game. It's just that anything beyond 110% has no effect beyond what 110 gets you. If you are looking to gear for endgame PVE (raids and FPs and such), you want to get as close as you can to 110% accuracy. If you're a sentinel, which I'm assuming you are since you posted this in the class section, there is no difference between force or melee accuracy. It's all one and the same to you. I think the point value for it is 736 accuracy to get 110.15% or something like that. If you're interested only in PVP, then it's debatable. Some say to gear for about 105% to prevent classes like assassins to dodge your attacks. Some say don't bother getting any accuracy. Me? I main a sentinel and I get it to about 580 accuracy and just wear an accuracy stim when I'm raiding. Otherwise, I use the versatile stim. Hope this helps.
  19. I think an easier fix to make tanks useful in pvp would be to limit ONLY guard to tanks, like it use to be. I certainly won't bother speccing tank if I do twice the damage playing AP PT + guard.
  20. Incidentally, Pyro’s one of the highest parsing specs right now, only slightly behind Concentration. Might be a good idea to dust off the ole PT and have another go at it in this meta.
  21. You're absolutely right this is not what we want to read. As has been said several times, the fixes are easy and don't require a lot of development. Adjust vendors or adjust drop rates. The "I'll go talk to my manager and see what he says" thing is weak. Don't you have say in what's in development? I hope this doesn't go away because you and the devs don't have time for it.
  22. I sent Keith a PM and tagged this thread. I hope we hear something soon.
  23. They do, in fact, but the drop rate must be bonkers because I've spent upwards of 2 mil and not seen any.
