  1. It looks a hell of a lot better than the ballerina movements of "Master Strike" which I don't even have on my bars anymore.
  2. Less than an hour? I'm not hopeful.
  3. I agree, I have difficulty spreading it on melee mobs consistently, They should just change the ability in the Ruffian tree to make it spread via Bushwhack, but then they may have to look at the upper hand requirement, then again for me it would be easier for me to have a UH available to aoe spread my dots than it would be for the stars to align and even have 2 people present in the required cone area.
  4. Mine is to use what little crystals I have left on alts and decide on a new main (again), probably level him today and tomorrow before double experience vanishes, only thing I'm wondering is starting/finishing KOTET and hitting max level a requirement for earning command XP or is it just hitting 70, Since I will likely be 65 on launch and hit 70 whilst still on the Vanilla Chapter 1 planets.
  5. I am in sheer shock, that I have my CC! Thanks Bioware! Now to spend them or to keep saving....
  6. I still don't expect to get it, I will be very surprised, VERY if I do. I even included the time and date on my Screenshot to show when it was present in my Launcher. Proof
  7. I wonder if they targeted it wrong I have been a subscriber constantly since launch and it still popped up in my launcher. Find below my launcher, I put in my screenshot time as well from my computer. Doubt I will see any extra coins. http://i1263.photobucket.com/albums/ii629/Sullster/500%20cc%20proof%20edited.jpg
  8. Yes, I flew to Odessen on a level 30 alt who had amassed about 300 data crystals from farming heroics/story quests and turned them all into Alliance boxes.
  9. Red Eclipse? Same problem here, I just brought a level 60 boost from the GTN, no mail received so relogged, still no mail so reset the game and stuck in a queue.... Edit: Just managed to log in - Luckily my item was there
  10. Thanks for taking the time to write this down, I took some time to read it after needing a break from farming heroics for Aliiance Boxes. I agree with you on certain points and partially disagree on others although my impressions of KotFE's effect on my personal immersion and enjoyment closely mirror yours, nice to see a post on these forums with some reasoning involved rather than "This Sucks".
  11. Looks like it may be a Sentinel then, currently pottering through the story as a Knight until I make the firm decision as I'm essentially Treeks companion till 60 anyway
  12. Tempted to go for a sentinel, cauterize has a nice fire animation on mobs when used.
  13. Hi Forumites, I am looking on setting up a new main ready for KOTFE. In most single player and mmo games I always play the 'fire' character unfortunately with the emphasis on story in the new expansion my previous main Pyro PT falls short in the relevance to the story portion and the worst offender is the horrid voice that does not reflect the character I want to play. As such I have created a Knight and am having difficulty on deciding what advanced class to choose. Due to my obsession with fire it is a toss up between Vigilance Guardian or Watchman Sentinel. I played a Annihilation Marauder to get a warrior to 60 a while back so got used to the 3.0 rotation, but know next to nothing other than what I have read guide-wise about the Guardian. I know that a Sentinel can get the bluish 'fire' effect at full stacks but I've seen that Vigilance's flames look different but are only tied to a 12 sec cd move. What would you suggest for the portrayal and general single player shenanigans. TL;DR In short which one would suit most for portraying Blue Fire?

  15. There are a few of these scattered about that you can miss. The SI one is good where you can ask Riley for a tour and get a "massage" The Smuggler has one with a Woman on the barge during the Nar Shaddaa quests after talking to her twice in different places you can "go to her room" The Bounty hunter also has some upon just before completing chapter one and you head back to the Mandalorian enclave if you click escape from the automatic chat to the Huntmaster you can chat to Gratta that you met on Hutta and the Bounty hunter that left the planet when you first got to DK cause he was a wuss. Both of who have quite a few things to say. Those are the ones I found that spring to mind.
  16. After playing Star Wars: Uprising they have a move that you start with called "Hold-out Blaster" which is a cone that does above average damage and is exactly what Blaster Volley should emulate. I would be interested to see what the actual pathetic cone is for BV. I support the idea of having the cone similar to that of Flamethrower and no further changes. I only really use the move randomly when running and usually never in a rotation - I did like the energy reduction they gave it though!.
  17. City of Heroes did this best but it was optional. Side kick and Exemplar It wasn't a level sync forced by lower level areas but more by being able to get experience and do missions attributed to those areas. Had a friend that was 15 and you were 50? You join them and Exemplar down to their level, help them out on missions etc. When you were done you left group and were back at your original level (you could still get exp and rewards equivalent to your level) Had a friend that was 15 and you were 50 - but you needed help on a mission? They join you and you activate the sidekick function, they were then within your level and could help you on 2 man missions, higher difficulties etc. They also got experience equivalent to what they would get doing their level stuff. Once done they left and were back to original level. The big thing is that it was OPTIONAL.
  18. This really really irritates me but it won't be something I will cry and unsub over, likely means I will now main a stealth character for an easier time. The one thing I will miss is farming lower level Heroics for credits or materials or just stomping level 20's under my boots. I'd personally prefer a toggle similar to how City of Heroes did it back in the day - The sidekick and lackey system, but as they have likely done it to revitalize old content and possibly link in with the alliance system unless the the outcry is as major as the 12xp toggle was, which actually forced a change - it is unfortunately likely here to stay. Hopefully as shown in the stream the extra abilities and "power" gained by being a downgraded 65 will be enough to still solo some of the easier Heroics, especially with 2x Heroic moment!
  19. Something they will likely never do Thing for me is as its mostly all story now I play a single Saber Assassin (Only solo mind you!). You can have fun playing single saber when solo if you are not concerned about "uber-leet" dps and you are not queuing for pvp/fps/ops. This guy will be my "Canon Outlander" too. I personally chose the hatred Tree and go in Dark Charge (tank spec), I cant use maul/lacerate/leaching/discharge without dbls which is a ballache as no insta cast proc for demolish but I can single saber attacks/shock/slow/deathfield/demolish/creeping terror and you can even use assassinate it just has no animation, which is sometimes hilarious as it looks as if your character edges towards the enemy and they fall down. Would probably be more ideal to go full tank spec if you wanted to play around for the shock procs etc but no matter what you will always lose procs and lot of damage but when you are soloing those few extra seconds matter not. So it is doable if you don't mind losing attacks and adapting (Solo only). Not a lot of people know you can equip a double saber click a charge, switch back to single saber and it is still active. The one major thing for me is that the new teleport move requires a Dbls which is
  20. Indeed that is one of the reasons I asked as the "conversion" from affection to influence may not be 1:1 and may only give you a head start influence wise like 50% etc (possibly explained away by you have been gone for 5 years) above characters you have never met/those recruit able from other characters vanilla storylines. You would expect some element of grind in the influence system at some point to help the game seem longer initially so I wouldn't expect that your previous companions would have full existing influence as followers, it's not a major question but one they could answer without spoilers.
  21. Although this seemed like a given, considering all the upcoming changes regarding KOTFE and interactions between companions, npcs and the like, it's good to have this confirmed in writing, but in regard to the second part of my question, how much of an impact does it actually make on the new "influence" system are my old companions full influence or do they have say 25%-30% higher influence than a character I have never met.
  22. Question: Does the existing character affection we have carry over to KotFE or give a higher starting point of influence if/when we try to get them back?
