Thats a shame! Me being lazy and all... Here I was thinking I was about to conquer the Galaxy by avoiding the hard work or unlearning and re-learning Biochem... Thanks for this brilliant guide. Its a great bit of kit that I will be returning to with each new companion! As a Trooper, I have recently left Ord Mantell and before setting off for Coruscant, I stopped by the Crew Skills Trainers and assigned my first companion Armstech, Scavenging and Investigation. I then completed what crafting training was available for Armstech, which basically upgaded my Blaster, resulting in an increase for my Primary Stat, Aim and I also picked up a little extra Endurance and another couple of lesser stats as well, all with the theory that every little bit helps! Phew, tell me about it!... I walk our fluffy thing twice a day and we live by a canal, which is pretty cool.... But our fluffy thing has taken to jumping into the canal, jumping out, then shaking all the water and muck off as soon as it gets out... Then, then our fluffy thing rolls around on the side of the canal... Mud, muck, smell... Arghhh... Now that aint a good day out! But a huge welcome to the community and should one of your companions end up being a fluffy thing, go easy on it, wash it regularly and I sure do hope you have fun as you traverse this great big Galaxy.

Oh boy, now I am starting to shake in my boots! Cripes, some of you that venture towards the Dark Side actually start to loose your hair and get even more ugly... How can this be? At what point of the alignment do you begin to morph from O.K. to ugly? I mean, holy heck, that can't be a good day out! Yet another great reason for staying on the Light Side... It's not too late, you can do it! Think about it, if for no other reason than I've heard that some of the Republic cantinas do these great Chimichangas with this awesome guacamole as a side with a few tortilla chips as well, but only for the Light Side Republic. Heck, they might even prepare the meal to go if your in a rush and running a little late for your next mission... Now I can't imagine that you would get a decent feed like that on the Dark Side! I mean, thats gotta be better for you than a jar of blue milk! Or is that what did it, do you drink blue milk on the Dark Side?

Yep, that sounds good! Go with the banana bread as it would be a tragedy to let the banana's go to waste... Besides, its gotta be better than blue milk...

It is refreshing to learn that there is wisdom beyond simple words in this vast Galaxy! And for those that insist and wish to dip, you may like to try one of the many great oceans, lakes, streams or waterways that may be found along your journey... But do be mindful and learn from those with wisdom as not all dips that you take are equal, or even a dip at all... But should you persist and take a dip and not go for the side, it may be rather acidic and deplete ones health quicker than your fastest ship fleeing from the might of the Republic... So again, think wisely, as indegestion and heart burn hits are not easily repaired by the medical probes or healers... But I guess, its still gotta be better than blue milk! Endek

Yep, here we go 2012! Had a blast last night and a busy afternoon trying to figure out how to best serve the Republic on Ord Mantell. Now let me tell you, it wasn't just busy, it was downright hard work out there, so now I'm heading for the Cantina to fill up for tomorrows fun... Maybe if I'm not too late and the other troops haven't ready cleaned the place out, I'll be able to get a huge Chimichanga to go! I know, I know, bad for the waste line, won't be able to put on the body armor tomorrow, but let me tell you, that plastic kit sure does make you sweat, sweat like you wouldn't believe... Yep, runs of you like water from the fountain! O.K. O.K., I get it, too much information... So tonight, despite the calories, this bad Trooper is going for the big one, an extra huge, triple fried, golden Chimichanga with a side of the most delicious guacamole and tortilla chips that even the most devoted Sith couldn't handle..... Gotta be better for you than blue milk! Endek

Mollaka, it is nice to hear from you. It is with the Republic that my journey begins and my humbling Class as a Trooper is destined to serve my adventures well and whilst I have not yet completed my training on Ord Mantel, my intentions are to serve the Republic military with honour and progress to the advanced class of a legendary Vangard. It is and remains my conviction that the Trooper Class is an unstoppable force when faced with the many challenges of front line battle, where my training and accurate use of my weapons shall serve the Republic well. As such, I am paying close attention to all of my attributes, but in these early days, my priority is in building my primary stat of aim / accuracy, ensuring my progression and ability to defend and defeat is optimal. As of you Mollaka, I sense that you are following the path of the Sith Empire and I now ask you, what class have you chosen to pursue? Cheers, Endek

I am pleased that I read this thread early in my characters progress as I am also new to MMO gaming and wrongly assumed you would be able to migrate your character between servers. A bit daft that I assumed this...., as I used to build networks for a living and marginally understand the infrastructure complexities.... No harm in having another character on another server though.. A lot of fun to be had in this vast Galaxy!

Thank you for you warm welcome to TOR! My journey has now begun ... From this little time I have had preparing my character class for the missions ahead, I agree that there are many similarities to KOTOR, from the UI, the interactions that mould my characters light side and also the dark side tendencies and now, to master my class, in these early days I am focusing on building my class primary stat! And so, my journey continues and I agree that in many ways, TOR online plays a lot like KOTOR / II, which when I compare it with Lego Universe, is a very good thing... Endek

Hi, I'm just about to setup my character class, but would like to know if I can change the class later? For example, if I start as a Republic Trooper, can I change to a Smuggler later? Also, can you change Allegiance? Thanks, Endek

Hi all, I'm new to SWTOR but really enjoyed KOTOR and KOTOR II and SW BF II, so hope to have as much fun with TOR. Will have to see how I go with this MMO as the only other MMO I had some fun with was the about to be axed Lego Universe, which aint nothin like this...
