I just recently dusted off my old Immortal Jugg and switched him to Veng. I had never done any PvP with him, and after watching a guildie completely wreck house in a wz using his, I knew I had to give it a shot. I am having SO much fun with this spec...I'm more of a YOLO player (as in, jump into the largest group of people and start swinging), so this fits my style more than my other two pvp toons. I'm definitely not great, but I'm getting better with each match Blah blah blah - anyway, I wanted to thank you for putting up this guide! I can't wait to get home tonight and start tinkering with my stats, utils, etc. I did find that I am doing some of what was in your guide, so I'm pretty stoked that I have some sort of awareness with my Jugg, especially considering I never used him much in the past. Another current PoT5 player chiming in - both factions. I rarely get ganked, even on the high level planets...most of the time, we all go about our business...or if I notice it's very Imp-heavy or Pub-heavy (lol, maybe 2 times), I'll switch to my stealth classes if I'm not interested in conflict. If I notice someone getting 2 or 3 manned, I'll try to help, but if I lose, I lose - it's not ganking, it's not toxic, it's game mechanics. I can recall maybe 1 or 2 times while leveling one of my 16 toons where I would have considered an attack as ganking, but being that we're on a pvp server, it didn't bother me, and I either switched toons or did something else for a while... I've written similar sentiments in other "PoT5 RIP" threads. I love our community on both sides. Have there been some D-bags? Certainly. Do they make up the majority of the population? Heck no. Most of the players on there are pretty cool and helpful in my experience, and I've enjoyed the folks that I've met and became friends with. Somewhat related note - if you're on PoT5 and are looking for OPVP, my guild tries to do that every Friday night around 9:00 PM...sometimes earlier, sometimes later. We typically find someone to fight, and we've had some good ones as of late. It's been a fun experience for me!

Honest question, no sarcasm. What is toxic about PoT5's community? You have your fair share of trolls, idiots and kids off of their meds, but other than that I really enjoy the people I've come to know on this server. Maybe I have a thicker skin than others, idk. I just found an awesome guild back in August 2014...they have a healthy pop, we do events most nights a week, and they're generally a good bunch. I'd hate to see that go away when it took me from launch until mid-2014 to find them. /signed out of principle to keep the PoT5 community alive...if a merge is what it takes, then so be it.

Agent, Inq, and Smuggler have the best stories IMO. Most fun to play? For me, a toss up between BH and Agent. YMMV, good luck!

You could always get the Antiviral Relics from the GSI vendor on Nar Shaddaa...not sure if they have a rep requirement from the Rakghoul event, but I KNOW they do not have an alignment requirement, because I use them as entry PvP relics for my alts. Or you could get at least 1 Matrix Cube relic...that would help some. EDIT - didn't see the post above, apparently the A/V ones have a small rep requirement

Based on what I'm seeing in your mission log (progress-wise), there should not be a forcefield where you're positioned. I'm assuming you just came down from floor 3. I recall the forcefields going UP the tower, but I have not encountered any on the way back down. EDIT - I'm about to do this mission on my sniper, so if I remembered incorrectly, I'll let you know.

I was a in a somewhat similar situation until late last year, when I found my current guild. It's not that we don't do the things above, but we don't pressure anyone to do what they don't want. If you're interested in ops, you let someone know and the senior members tend to help greatly with those unfamiliar with op mechanics (trust me, I know, I never did ops until a month ago). If you want to do conquest, you do it; if not, you don't. If you want to chat while you're running class quests / dailies / whatever, there's always folks around to just chat. If you want to pvp or join the Friday group for opvp, do it; if not, don't My point is, there are guilds out there that fit what you describe. It's hard to find them, but they do exist. If you happen to be on PoT5, shoot me a PM if you're interested in checking us out. If not, I wish you luck in your search. I told myself I would never join a guild again, but now I'm glad I reneged on that promise!

Because it's in the patch notes: Level 55 Operations are now available through Group Finder at level 60. A new Operation will be available each day.

Completely honest question - no sarcasm, etc. Why do I always see posts about PoT5 and how it's dead/dying? I'm on every day, my guild has a very healthy population, when I want to PvP the q pops ok (5-10 min tops), and I always see folks around. To be fair, I have never been on any other server, save the original one I was moved from, so I guess I don't have a frame of reference. Are the other servers really that much more full than PoT5? I can see the light/moderate/heavy labels in the server screen, but despite those, I always feel like there is something to do or people to speak with. Just curious - that's all. I love PoT5's community and have gotten used to everyone, so I wouldn't be thrilled with merging...but I can roll with the punches, so if it were to happen, I'd be ok. Regards!

Well...they're fixing something or doing something. One could surmise it has to do with the low slash bug, but maybe it's something else. I don't know nor do I care. But to ream the Community Rep (or whatever Musco's title is) over something he has no control over AND claim exploit is a bit ridiculous. They moved quick on this one, so kudos to them.
