  1. What painful color schemes. You'd think they would give us something that would make us stick out like a sore thumb...
  2. 1. UI 2. Buy my BM off hand 3. Do enough ranked warzones to upgrade 1-2 pieces 4. Roll a red zabrak trooper
  3. the worst elevator is the one in black talon. You all should know which one I'm talking about. You click the button and it transports you to the next map. You start moving, BUT the game decides it needs to load the transitional black screen of elevators... so after leaving the elevator, you're waiting for the game to catch up.
  4. I find the largest purpose of diagnostic scan is to juke interrupts from other players. I find many opponents that don't actually check what they're interrupting, they're first reaction is to interrupt something that has a cast bar if a healer is casting. I also find Orbital Strike to be additionally useful in voidstar just by placing it at a door. It's basically a 'no one can disarm/arm the bomb for 12 seconds' if you place it down.
  5. For those of you that didn't romance Kaliyo, here are her letters (with the typos she writes) <3 Kaliyo, she is absolutely my favorite companion.
  6. I personally think that it's because of the gear. Roughly at the start of the 30's, the companion gear doesn't come with many secondary stats (crit, shield rating, absorption, etc). I stocked Kaliyo up with defense rating and shield rating, but it was pretty pricey.
  7. Absolutely love Kaliyo. SPOILERS DON'T READ Kaliyo is a very good compliment to the agent. I'm pretty sure of the 5 companions the agent gets, Kaliyo is pretty much, story wise, the only companion that could actually stand toe-to-toe with the agent.
  8. In reality, your character should take more than 3 minutes to do a crew skill mission. In reality, the video of your ship landing on a planet should occur after before you land... not after you leave the airlock. So please suspend your beliefs of people needing to 'retrain' themselves. If not, you should teach yourself to do one crew skill mission per character every 3-4 days, because that's probably how long that mission actually took. The respec price is annoying, it shouldn't reflect a set amount, but reflect depending on your lvl. IMO, the max price should depend that. Example, a lvl 25's max respec cost should be 6,000 gold. A lvl 50's should be around 150k. When i was lvling my sage, I started off as balance and liked it. I however wanted to try out telekenetics at lvl 20 or so, and found it quite painful to use. So I respecced back. I saw people in general chat talking about how fun telekinetics was around lvl 33, so I decided to try it out again and it was pretty cool. Around lvl 36, people were talking about hybrid spec on the forums and that was the way to go and I ended up trying that. It was powerful, but I was having issues with force against trash mobs. I ended up going back to telekinetics to try out the lvl 40 talent before switching back to balance for the self healing from the DoT's. Around lvl 46, I decided I wanted to heal so I respecced again. I messed up one of my talent points after learning and had to redo it. It's rather silly to get punished for wanting to try out new things.
  9. There is no exploration in star wars, when you walk somewhere new, it automatically discovers a rather large distance. There is no 'wth is that thing?!?' because before you see a world boss, you enter it's 'heroic area'. You can't discover any of the dungeons because they all exist in space and require you to go to the fleet and take a taxi. And datacrons? pfft. There's nothing that's really fun about watching people's mggs fail repeatedly when they're trying to access the +10cron.
  10. Too much grouping is a headache. I play a healer. I don't mind running 1-2 dungeons a day. I hate when I'm pestered to heal 5-6 dungeons a day because I don't have time to lvl my alts, do my dailies or anything else I'd like to do. Example: Today, our guild has 12 lvl 50's online. I'm one of 2 healers that are level capped. I log on and get pestered to heal dungeons. I heal False Emperor and Black Talon Heroic. Okay, time for me to go some dailies so I can get some commendations for my rakata implants. Nope. a DPS starts spamming me to do boarding party and Kaon under Siege. I said no, because the day before I had done both with him and I don't like running dungeons in a row because it makes them boring. He gets into my guild and think that's enough of a reason to repeatedly ask and try and guilt me into healing a hard mode. No means no. So I when I try doing my ilum dailies I see in /gchat, "Well, we could go do boarding party if someone healed us", I just logged off. Like I said, too much grouping is a headache.
  11. Leveling as a healer of the 3 specs is quite fun. Reasonings: Sorc/Sage get access to Force Storm/Forcequake, which is a spammable AoE that also stuns weak/normal mobs. Once a Sorc/Sage hits lvl 34, using a tank companion to hold AoE threat, they will destroy 90% of any enemy pack with ease. They can heal their companion and provide decent dps too. Commando/Merc imo, are easier to lvl than Sage/Sorc at the start simply because they have more AoE abilities and AoE abilities clear more groups faster.DfA/Mortar Valley every other pull, fusion missile/explosive dart and the republic version for the other pulls. They also have a defensive CD too. Now Scoundrel/Operative are a bit harder because they have less powerful AoE's as a healer. However, they do have two types of CC and teh ability to vanish when the going gets too tough. Droid CC, sleep dart are great for taking on quite a lot of groups. For these two, I'd recommend not actually AoEing mobs and just single target them down while CC other enemies.
  12. From what I gather, it seems as if most of the Sith Assassins had problems with the caster elites (Zash and thanaton), but the sorcs didn't . Probably healing + bubble? heh. That said, it's nice to get challenged in the leveling content. =]
  13. Wow, there's elitist and then they're you. People even say -thanks- and you think less of them. Had it ever occur to you that some people will finish a heroic quest and realize they still have quests in the general area they want to finish before they turn them all in? Or any other plethora of reason. Also, you only get social points if there were dialogue options. A lot of heroics provide no dialogue option at turn in because the NPC will say their line and you get your reward. Also, other players that know of dialogue options may want to pursue affection gains with their companion without you interfering with that.
  14. Use Khem. It might seem painful till lvl 34, but once you get there, it's smooth sailing. As a healer, you actually have the strongest Force Storm of all 3 specs(talent to increase it's damage by 10% also a bunch of +crit talents in your tree). This is discounting that lightning specced gives you the chance to proc CL every 10 seconds. One shield on Khem and spamming Force Storm will wreck 70% of any group of mobs you'll come across while leveling. The bubble wont' break unless you're fighting a strong mob. For pulls in -typical- questing, you'll typically see this 3-4 weak/normal 2-3 weak, 1 strong 3-4 weak, 2 strong or elite
  15. If you want to use Xalek, you need to play to his strength. That means not giving him shield rating OR absorption rating and ONLY Defense Rating/Accuracy/crit/surge. Hopefully they fix his bugs. Just because you -can- use Xalek doesn't mean the developers should not fix his glaringly obvious errors. He'll be a better tank once his other secondary stats are fixed. And if your Xalek does have shield/absorption... you're doing wrong... like a PvE healer that's covered in accuracy gear wrong. I do prefer to use Khem however. I wish Khem had charge instead of sprint though.
  16. Interrupt her damage spells. When she casts 'Revivification', LoS her so she stops standing in it and she won't get healed. If she manages to get a Force Storm off where you and Khem are, set Khem to passive and move out of it and LoS her so you can attack her again without fear of getting struck by the storm.
  17. In a year from now, will people be posting that the 'game is only a year old, it still needs patches 2 nights a week'? I bet they will.
  18. I agree! Please add aim modable hilts to the game Bioware. =] I would like to believe that all companions should be able to stand on an equal ground in storyline, capabilties and gear.
  19. The only 'MMO' sort of games I see that might peak your interest will be either Guild Wars II or Tera-Online when they come out.
  20. the font is very small at times and there's no way of increasing the size of the fonts in certain areas (cutscenes, etc.). Not everyone's vision is perfect. Do you see bioware adding something to fix that?
  21. I'd fork over an additional 60 bucks if I could be a jawa.
  22. I think sprint would be much more useful at lvl 10 probably as I think that's when you're allowed to queue for warzones?
  23. Yes for Dual Spec. My PvE healing talent tree as an operative is not the same as the one I'd use for PvP.
  24. The people against this sort of idea need to stop playing MMO's. The convenience of a mailbox in your ship would be highly useful! If you are a purist, you can completely avoid your ship's mailbox. Besides, it's much more realistic that you can get mail in your ship than it is for your lvl 10 companion to go on a crew skill mission to alderaan and search some viable bacteria and be back in 3 minutes.
