  1. Yes, well that was true in the past since the prior expansion story lines were pretty much self-contained packages. Since it looks like Season 1 will finish without the complete (story) return of all previously missing companions from the start of KoFTE and that KoFTE added new story line companions (and the choices you make in the chapters so far are captured and "matter" to them and probably the story conclusion), I think a better assumption is that Season 2 will be a continuation of where 1 left off and that it won't be possible to jump over Season 1 content.
  2. Yes, I'm well aware of the companion locator terminal and have used it for some of my favorite companions. But in keeping with role playing - they are gone and I want them back.
  3. So. So at the start of the Eternal Empire we had 8 characters (4 empire, 4 republic) each with 5 companions which we "lost" with the start of the story arc. Thru chapter 13 we've seen the recovery of between 1 and 3 companions. I believe the Eternal Empire is to run through chapter 18 (so 5 more chapters). So far we are still missing the following companions; EMPIRE (11): Sith Warrior (3): Jaesa Willsaam, Malavi Quinn, Broonmark Sith Inquisitor (3): Ashara Zavros, Andronikos Revel, Khem Val (and Akghar Usar is NOT my Kehm Val) Bounty Hunter (3) : Mako, Skadge, and Torian Corera Agent (2) : Vector Hylus, Raina Temple REPUBLIC (13): Jedi Knight (3): Kira Carsen, Doc, Lord Scourge, Sgt. Fideltin Rusk Jedi Consular (4): Nadia Grell, Felix Irresso, Tharan Cedrax, Zenith Trooper (2): Elara Dorne, Tanno Vik (I know you run into him in Chapter 7? but I don't know if you reclaim him there) Smuggler (4): Risha, Akaavi Spar, Corso Riggs, Guss Tuno So that's a lot of companions (24) to be returned in a small number of chapters (5). I'd hate for the remaining ones to be shorted a "story" and just show up at some end of arc celebration. I'd hate even more to have them NOT returned and pending return in some future story arc. Thoughts?
  4. I had reported this on 1/11 (see http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=862809 ) and I believe I have seen other threads about it as well. Glad that it finally caught notice. As far as I know, the suggestion about clicking on a "glitched" item is a red herring for me. I do, however, do the daily quest (save artifacts from the chests in that area that culminates in killing the champion mob in the tunnel - instanced area) and complete that one before heading out to kill the stoneray matriach (I pickup that quest on my way in and kill the stonerays in the tunnel as I go in/out).
  5. Again today on Taris, but this time on a two-taxi point ride. I think I will quick-travel from now on. Really Really annoying.
  6. On Taris, Gunslinger (level 25). Just learned codex entry 'Galactic History 25: Two Rivals". After the various text stages completed (telling me I got +2 Mastery) I cannot move or do anything (all tool bar icons are disabled) and I get the error message displayed "Cannot do that while in a vehicle". I also tried /stuck which moved me from the platform that the datacron was on at least 100 meters - down to the edge of the shelf just before you jump on the pipe to get to the platforms. I was able to use the Stronghold travel to get out of the area - exit back to Taris and I'm able to move again and now for the last datacron.
  7. Had it today on one taxi-point hop on Taris. Have also experienced it while on a mount on Balmorra in an new zone. Related to zone discovery?
  8. ^^^ This. Experience before patch for turn in rewards is VERY different from now. Someone else said something about "holding on to crates". That's not a bad idea, I think I will do that too.
  9. This ^^^. My friend an I have been playing together, leveling characters together, enjoying the quests and helping out on the class quests (although that's really not required) but it's our social activity. The recent KoFTE content has made this difficult to impossible to play together. He's ready to quit his subscription if the approach continues of "solo play" at the expense of playing together with friends. And don't say "run an instance/heroic together" as that content is NOT NEW - why repeat the same thing over and over again? Can you say "NOT FUN"?
  10. /signed And signed similar threads (of which there are MANY). Please BW address this issue.
  11. Oh that's just a pleasant thought - Khem Val on the loose for 5 years consuming force users along the way. Yeah, he'd have to have an ID change.
  12. Well they do have something (but it's incomplete and not that visual). So, if you have taken the Lana romance option and you then bring up the Companion/Contacts window (press N key) and select Lana, on the bottom right half side you can see a "summary" of significant things (i.e., when you see "XXX will remember your ...") that happened in chapters 1-9, including "You had started a romance with Lana" (or some equivalent type of statement). Now, what is disturbing is my Bounty Hunter married Mako (and is totally faithful to her) and the window doesn't indicate this pre-existing relationship (and I've not yet started KoFTE on this toon). What would be NICE is a little heart icon in the contact window to indicate the relationship. If you have flirted/have interest it could be outlined (and not filled in) or even a different symbol. What has not yet been answered is if you have married a pre-KoFTE companion and do KoFTE and flirt/start a romance (affair) with Lana (or whomever) what happens when you get re-united with the prior companion. There was no warning "Oh, you were married to someone else (who thinks your dead for 5 years) and if you start this romance you are "divorcing" your earlier spouse. Do you want to proceed?", or "Oh, you were married to someone else and starting this romance will be considered and affair and will have negative reactions when you are re-united with your spouse (if you admit to it or they find out about it). Do you want to proceed?"
  13. Yes, but log out and log back in again (in my case a couple of minutes) later and I had it (the alert). Also at one point in the quest chain went to location with the Java was marked on the map and no person to interact with - again logging out/back in again fixed it.
  14. Finished Chapter X on my Agent but no alert. Left the Alliance war room and still no alert. Logged out to another toon to craft then came back and I have the alert.
  15. Well we can have MORE than one MOUNT, so why NOT more than one starship. When it comes to cut scenes they could always be done on the basic non-customizable starship (and conversations could require you to use the existing starship) but having MOUNT icons for the toolbars for starships would allow other cutscenes to show boarding/exiting and then you can be in an environment (much like a stronghold) that is a ship instead of an apartment. At that point it's just artwork to be drawn out.
  16. Same. Sooo... where was the QA testing on this release? Did anyone at BW try out the software?
  17. Interestingly I bought the first level 1 pattern and got the "you learned XXX" message. Nothing in the skill list to make. Went back to the trainer and the list had the pattern I just bought (nice that it only cost 0 CR this time).
  18. Same here. I visited the Synthweaving trainer bought some new 500 min skill required patterns and then went to see what I was going to make and ALL my old recipes (pre 4.0 and 4.0) are gone - totally blank list and changing filters has no effect. Quit the game and restarted. No effect. Just logged into my Armormech and same problem.
  19. I'm at LL 50. It took a long time but upon reaching it it seemed rather anti-climactic (i.e., no reward or benefits of reaching it are/were not obvious). Since it's really just a shared XP count across the toons in the legacy it helps to be an altaholic but I'm not sure the benefits you have proposed are really needed much less desirable especially in PvP. For PvE, I've got the legendary plaque and when I trigger heroic moment I have all those other abilities from the other classes. I think maybe what would be a useful perk is to provide some sort of discounting the cost of the legacy perks. For example, Basic Field Repair Droid is $50K, Improved is $100K, and advanced in $200K. But the legacy level requirements are pretty low (5/8/12 respectively). So at legacy level 20, the cost drops by say 10%, at legacy level 35 it drops by say 20%, and at legacy level 50 it drops by 40%. This could be just in terms of in-game credits and NOT the CC values (since BW wouldn't want to reduce their income stream). This would not impact the balance in the game mechanics when a high LL player encounters a lower LL player (as in your proposal).
  20. No a higher level cap is NOT the answer to the problem of leveling TOO fast. So, the question is - for the XP rewarded to completing a quest, is it targeted towards a player completing content at level 50? or should it be ending at level 65? It depends if they are targeting the F2P community or the subscribed community. I am subscribed and have recently started a couple of new toons on a different server to help gauge for myself whether or not the experience is too easy/too fast. By only doing class stories (and not even the planetary arc stories) and some of the planet Heroic 2+ (all solo) I am at or above level for every planet. So, I would say, re-calibrate the quest XP rewards so that players aren't leveling so fast. It's NOT like there's a world of NEW content revealed once you get to level 65. Operations are OK if you want (and have the time for) that kind of activity but BW hasn't made a new operation in over two years (or so I've read) so that's hardly their goal (to get more players to that content they've been investing in).
  21. Happens to me (imperial side) all the time. Annoying but easy to fix. Easy to remember to buff after dismount.
  22. I had posted a suggestion not that long ago (a couple of days) before yours about adding a new set of purchasable star ships (along the lines of a guild ship which has the hooks for decorations). Smaller that a guild ship since it's a personal ship but maybe larger than the current ones. Heck, even have MORE than one ship (yes, spend lots of $$$). My reasoning was to drain some of the excess cash out of the server economy since so many things on GTN have gotten listed with outrageous prices. Could even be a CC purchase as well to "pay" for the development costs. Now, I had read in the forums that the code related to ships/travel was not well done (and apparently BW was reluctant to make changes to it). So by adding NEW ships would allow them to jump past that older (buggy?) code. If hangar access is problematic, add a new terminal or action bar icon "Take me to my star ship" that you get when you buy the item (like a vehicle mount icon).
  23. /signed. The ships seem empty now, and I see no reason that WHEN I AM TRAVELLING that SOME (or selected) companions also COME ALONG. If you can modify the code to take them OUT they can modify the code to PUT THEM BACK IN AGAIN. And while you're at it, how about a few decorator hooks?
  24. I don't know about many servers out there but on mine the GTN asking prices for some items are many tens of million credits. Which leads me to think maybe its not just rarity of the items but maybe because there's a lot more credits in game now (all those Alliance dailies make pretty easy money) that maybe there's a need to provide a new money sink. While I may like the stars ship that some of my toons have I'm thinking that there could be a new option to upgrade to a larger ship (or one of several star ship models) which would not only be larger but also have the layout hooks in them like the strongholds and guild star ships. I'd love to get rid of my Bounty Hunters ship and buy something more powerful and luxurious.
