  1. nope. no way of tracking within the game
  2. Before your able to use the grenades: Please BW... Nerf the use of grenades in WZ! Same person after leveling cybertech to 400 to use the grenades: W T F do you mean grenades are OP??? It's a love/hate relationship
  3. My first question would be why did you wait so late in the game to start learning how to tank in groups? Anyways... Here are some of my own pointers Assuming (I hate doing it but its valid in this case) your not geared with endgame gear since your new to grouping which means you have little or no operation experience, place your guard on the DPS which is best geared. They will be the one which will most likely be ripping threat from you which is the one thing you don't want to happen. Keep your eye on which mobs are marked with CC targets and do not break them until you are ready. Taunts are your friend. Use them liberally and often but always have 1 handy in case you need to use it. Remember, your single taunt reduces the amount of damage your target does so its more usefull than just using it to grab aggro back from someone. Position the mobs in a way you can group them up for the DPS to make use of their AOE's. What i mean by this is if you know one of your elites in the pack ahead is ranged and away from a big part of the group, then head straight over to the group and pull the ranged elite over to you hence grouping all the mobs up (unless that elite has been CC'd of course) As a tank for groups, you can not have tunnel vision. You need to have good situational awareness and expect things to happen before they actually do happen. If you see a pat wandering near the group, then pick up aggro on that pat before it starts attacking your healer. As a tank for groups, you are expected to know the encounter. If you do not know the encounter well enough or if you have never been in the encounter, think about going DPS for a couple runs to become familar with it or watch videos of the encounter before actually going into it. Quickbar targeting icons and use them if needed (not just before the start of the fight but also during. It lets the DPS know which mob you want them to focus on) 3 rules to live by. 1) If the tank dies, its the healers fault. 2) If the healer dies, its the tanks fault. 3) If the DPS dies, its their own dam fault.
  4. As you level, take the armor you get from the heroics or flashpoints and rip the mods out of those. Then you can take those new mods and replace them with the mods you currently have in your Revans set. The amount spent for ripping and replacing the mods is negligible compared to the purchasing the new set of mods. Just a quick question though... I noticed you said you have Revans mask which usually runs for a couple mil in itself (unless you were lucky enough to find on in a pack, then disregard this last message). If you purchased the mask, then why are you worried about credits because you obviously know how to make credits.
  5. Stealth or not to stealth... that is the question
  6. So.. on my recent character I leveled (my commando), upon being tasked with switching to a new planet for my class story, I ended up being 3-4 levels higher than the maximum level the planet I was headed too (for every planet) and eventually hit 50 while i was still on Belsavis so this is directed to everyone who is asking about these sorts of leveling problems. Some of these have already been said and some not so ill just consolidate each of them Do not just stick with your class story. If you do this, you will be struggling with the next planet you end up on. There are plenty of side quests out there which only take a couple minutes to complete. Pick these up also. Bonus quests. These are free xp and you are already in the area. Need to kill 15 mobs in the area? it takes 5-10 extra minutes to do it and chances are, during your route to the objective of the main part of that quest, you will be able to complete it. Heroics. A great way of learning how to group with others. These usually have an increased xp value and almost always have better gear rewards than the normal quests you will run across. Flashpoints and PVP queing. If you do not have any heroics to do, que up for PVP and a flashpoint both at the same time while your questing. It's beter than just sitting around the fleet doing nothing while waiting for it to hit. Flashpoint, PVP, Dailys and world boss weeklys. Even at level 10, these are available to you from the terminals on the fleet. Before you head off the fleet to start your questing, pick these up. Just like the planet heroics, the Gear and XP are greater than the normal questing you would do. The world boss is pretty easy to get a group for anyways. Head over to the area to see if hes up and if he is, put a shoutout in general chat saying that you are starting a Ops group for XX worldboss. Chances are you will find yourself with a group of 10-15 others which would like a chance to score some loot off that boss and quite possibly a couple 50's just willing to help. Rested XP. Before you log out for the day, make sure you find a spot which would grant you rested xp. These locations are in cantinas on the planet your on, your ship, or on the fleet. My recommendation is to log out on the fleet. This way when you log in for the next day, you can head straight over to the terminals which give you the PVP and FP dailys. Space missions. Just that added xp that the only thing you need to worry about is gearing your ship. After so many times of doing them, you can probably run the missions blindfolded. Great source of XP and the items you can pick up from the Fleet commendation rewards are pretty nice too. Companions. Do not neglect them. Gear them as you would yourself because a geared companion is just as valuable as having another person leveling with you by your side.
  7. Because last time, you ate all the cookies and we had to break out the hidden stash of Churros
  8. you question is pretty vague and can't quite help if you don't explain more in detail on what your doing to get no results. It would be as if i was stating "I'm hitting my button but not attacking... what am i doing wrong?"
  9. The group i ran this the other day with 2 sentinels would probably disagree with you seeing that I did not move from the middle of the room once. Just because you don't think it is possible does not mean that someone else can't do it better.
  10. I have 2 words for you... Adaptive Armor Use the BH coms to purchase the campaign armorings and put them in a peice of armor you actually like looking at in order to get the tier set bonus.
  11. after a while of gearing yourself, you will find that you have no use for any of the Tionese/columi coms that you would get from doing the dailys. With those coms, you can gear your companions with
  12. Please enlighten me as to how LI HM can not be one-shotted unless using an exploit. Myself and a ton of others who have one-shotted LI HM would like to know.
  13. It's not necessary but it doesn't hurt. What I mean by that is if you have done the work on finding the datacrons on one of your knight, it will help you remember where they are when your in the process of leveling another character. Since having done them on my shadow, I have been able to grab the ones that I needed while i was leveling my other toons because I remembered where they were when i was leveling them in those specific areas. It was a nice break of the constant level grind from running quest after quest. Along with gathering the datacrons, you might want to look into getting matrix shards which act as relics. The list of datacron locations and matrix shard locations can be found here. Below is a list of matrix shard combinations I made for my guild earlier on to help everyone decide what they wanted to get during our datacron runs. Level 15 cubes Blue Yellow Green = 14 Endurance, 11 Strength (M2-W0) Red Yellow Green = 8 Endurance, 18 Willpower (M2-W1) Red Blue Green = 15 Aim, 10 Endurance (M2-W2) Red, Blue, Yellow = 18 Strength, 8 Endurance (M2-W3) Level 24 cubes Red Yellow Yellow = 19 Strength, 24 Endurance (M3-O1) Blue Yellow Yellow = 19 Aim, 24 Endurance Green Yellow Yellow = 14 Endurance, 28 Cunning (M3-L1) Red Blue Blue = 24 Endurance, 19 Willpower (M3-V2) Yellow Blue Blue = 24 Endurance, 19 Strength (M3-J2) Green Blue Blue = 28 Aim, 14 Endurance (M3-A2) Level 32 cubes Yellow Red Red = 29 Strength, 33 Endurance Blue Red Red = 33 Endurance, 29 Willpower (M4-V1) Green Red Red = 39 Aim, 23 Endurance (M4-B2) Red Green Green = 23 Endurance, 39 Cunning (M4-B1) Yellow Green Green = 29 Strength, 33 Endurance (M4-L0) Blue Green Green = 29 Aim, 33 Endurance (M4-A1) Level 50 cubes Force Users: Yellow Yellow Yellow = 52 Strength, 60 Endurance, 18 Defense (M7-Y3) Green Green Green = 58 Strength, 50 Endurance, 24 Crit (M7-G3) Red Red Red = 66 Willpower, 56 Endurance, 27 Crit (M7-R3) Blue Blue Blue = 58 Aim, 50 Endurance, 24 Crit Level 50 cubes Tech Users Yellow Yellow Yellow = 52 Aim, 60 Endurance, 18 Defense (M7-Y3) Green Green Green = 58 Strength, 50 Endurance, 28 Crit (M7-G0). 14. Some players level all the way to 50 without selecting their advanced class just for something out of the ordinary to do with their characters.
  15. if you are a sub, you are granted all the quickbars so if you ended up purchasing extra quickbars, it was a waste of what you spent your CC on. As velasong stated, they would be located within the interface editor but to add onto what was said, once you have your interface editor up, anything which shows up in red is set to inactive. You will need to select those and set them active if you want them to show up.
  16. go to your account settings > forum managment > Update your forum signature
  17. I did read the whole post before making comments but thank you for assuming that i didin't. Sure... that one flashpoint is bugged to the point where you can't pass it. Find something to do other than that 1 flashpoint. Need gear from T5? Do a couple quests or PVP to gain a couple levels. Then you will be within range of a different flashpoint because you have already out geared the equipment you would have received from T5. Find some upgrades on Mods to replace the mods you have in your current gear. There are plenty of ways to get gear other than that one flashpoint you were so adamant on completing. Your 50 but cant seem to get anything but T5 threw GF in order to get your BH coms? Keep trying. In the end, it's something that regardless on how annoying it was, it was managable by just not doing it. Anyways... it looks as if they plan on putting in a patch tomorrow to fix it.
  18. oh let see... my day went a little something like this. Log in and que up. T5 ques and team gets past droid boss for it to bug. Team seperates Start working on dailys and que up again. Que pops and its T5 again. Team splits right away. Continue working on dailys and que up again. Que pops and its T5 again. Team splits right away. Finish dailys while queing again Que pops and its T5 again. Team decides to go past droid and bugs. Team separates. Jump on different toon to start working dailys on him while queing Que pops for Kaon No, its not a game breaker. The game does not revolve around that 1 single flashpoint. RNG was against you with the continuous rolls of T5. It happens to all of us. Some of us just find something else to do. Do you want to know what is game breaking? How about not being able click on multiple consoles to go into another area because they don't show up being clickable. How about when you reset the GUI, nothing comes back to your screen except for the environment... no icons, no characters, nothing. How about when you move around, the time it takes from you doing something finally triggers about 2-3 seconds after you actually do the action? Yes, all of these situations I listed did happen to me at one time or another. Yes, the game is supposed to be fun but when you solely rely on only doing 1 thing instead of having multiple things to do, then you bring it upon yourself to have the game not be any fun anymore when that 1 thing does not work as intended.
  19. I would say that the guild you got kicked from actually did you a favor so you don't have to deal with them ever again. Guilds like that you want no part of.
  20. You seriously think that this bug is a game breaker? I for one can wait til the next maintenance downtime for it to be fixed
  21. if you don't want to go threw the endless hours of downloading, i would suggest making a backup of the game files you have currently before re-installing windows if you haven't already. It will take a little over 20.5 gig of space
  22. The best advice I can give someone new to an MMO in general or is to group early. Regardless on which game it is, you will learn group mechanics early on without having to worry about the criticizim in the later levels when it is impossible to get that better gear unless you are in a group. When it comes to SWTOR, no, you do not need to group at all because the devs have made it so you can obtain raid quality gear without stepping foot in an operation 1 time. By doing the dailys which grant black hole coms, you can choose to not step into a single flashpoint (Yes, the black hole heroic 4 can be solo'd). Going this route however will take you months of endless grinding coms in order to get a full set of what you would need. If you group early on and learn the group mechanics, you will find yourself in a better position with groups later in the game. For those who have never grouped before and are scared to, don't be. The advice I can give you is to do the same thing or find a guild which can help you with grouping. Form a guild group and see how everyone works together. The best thing about a guild group is you don't get the harrasment from making numerous mistakes that you would get from the few mistakes. Pointers for newcomers when grouping. Learn your CC (Crowd control) abilities and mark your intended target you plan to CC. Let the group know which marker you plan to use when CCing. "My CC will be Bolt". This will let everyone know, expecially the tank know which target not to attack or if the group will be using an aoe attack. Just remember, Any damage done to that CC'd target will break the CC and they will start attacking again. Also to add, If the fight will take longer than your CC lasts for, keep an eye on how long it has left because there is a chance that you might have to re-apply that CC to your marked target. Let the tank break the CC'd target. If you start breaking someones CC'd target, you will start making individuals pretty frustrated and just make the healer's life that much harder. The whole reason for having CC'd targets is to take them out of combat to lessen the stress on the healer making it easier for them to keep the group alive. The tank knows (or at least should know) how much damage the healer can handle and will take on the targets accordingly. Attack the weakest mobs first. Even the weakest mobs produce damage and if you remove them from the equation, then it just makes that much less damage that the tank has to take in turn making the healers job a lot easier. Doing this also lets the tank pull more threat on the Champions and Elites making it less likely for them to attack you when you start beating on them. Order for killing things should be followed as the following: Weak > Strong > Elite > Champion. If there is a group marked for a kill order, make sure you follow it and don't start killing something out of order. A kill order is usually made when there are 3 or more mobs in a group which can not be CC'd (Last boss in Kaon Under Seige for example). The tank will let everyone know by marking the targets (usually with my case, 1-Fire 2-Aim 3-shield) They will follow it up with saying which one first "Fire > Aim > Shield". Going out of order from this will more than likely cause the target you are attacking to start attacking you because the tank will more than likely be on the kill order target. Let the tank do the pulling. As soon as one thing is engaged in a group, everything in that group will move to the person who did the initial attack. The ONLY time this might be different is if someone uses a CC which causes aggro from the group. In this case the tank would grab aggro from the group right away (or at least should) Learn what a LOS (line of sight)pull is. The tank will sometimes call out a LOS pull. This does not mean after his pull, start to attack anything in sight. What the tank is doing is causing aggro and moving out of line of sight of everything in the group. This will cause the group to move to the tanks position. Watch chat. Something might be said in chat that you need to pay attention to. I know I said it before but I will say it again. Find a guild which is willing to help you out to learn what to do when grouping. It makes the grouping less hectic and the game as a whole is a lot more fun when your playing with others.
