  1. As a GW2 player, i refute your point on the dullness of combat. But more on the point, the game shines in it's roles by also tying them into the lore of the classes. E.G. a juggernaut trains to be invincible while a sorcerer learns forbidden rituals of healing. It is a typical mmo thing, but a pure damage game just wouldn't work in a game where it hasn't been built in that way. GW2 is built to have no healer/tank roles, so it works in that way. Swtor is not
  2. The point of this thread is that we are being forced into PVP. So there's no repair cost, we're still being inconvenienced by some ******e of a lvl 50 who thinks it's funny to flag players by aoe or heals then have a friend attack them or similar action. That's why the community is annoyed. I've been in so many situations where I've seen people leave groups that have taken AGES to form because some inconsiderate DPS player hasn't had the common decency to spend five minutes to remove a flag. I think that PVP on PVE servers should just be limited to WZ's, Open world PVP (such as Ilum or Outlaw's den) and then the flag removed IMMEDIATELY afterwards. If you want to grief players who just want to have fun and play with their friends then go do it on a PVP server for f***s sake
  3. Completely agree, we need the flag settings changed. I play a tanking juggernaut and i've seen quite a few healers leave the group for this same reason we're discussing. Of course, someone gets out their heal companion but at high level fps THIS DOES NOT WORK. The Healers and the Tanks have the most sway in the group so they should be able to say to a flagged player f*** off and go remove your flag. Someone said don't make it a him or me option but that's what you need to do. There are always more DPS looking for a group and they'll probably be more considerate.
  4. Bioware have said they're not doing this on the livestream. apparently you can buy sets of gear for a specific level but not any endgame gear.
  5. I don't know why everyone is hating on Bioware for this. They're trying to get people to enjoy the game for as long as they want and if they enjoy it and want more they'll subscribe. I believe that Bioware has done a great thing here by opening up the game to the public. They can try the game and see if they like it. I for one have tried DCUO, STO and LOTRO because they all have f2p and i'm still playing all three. SWTOR can only benefit from this so if you whiney subs can't accept that, go post your **** somewhere else. Bioware are trying to help and you're spitting in their faces.
  6. Modification costs are something which, if they are not reduced by a huge amount or even removed, will destroy customization in this game. I want the ability to decide how i look, but if i have to pay 500k to remove ONE mod from the shell, then have to do that three more times (including augments), then i might as well not have that ability. Your saga? more like your saga if you have lots of credits in endgame.
  7. I dunno, some people like ripping mods to put into gear that isn't for their class. I for one went around dressed like a Bounty hunter with my sith warrior for a time. If they do put in an appearance tab it should be something like DCUO where once you equip an item you get it's style, and there should be color options too. Even if ur a lvl 50 u could just go buy a low lvl item and set that as ur look once u re-equip ur normal gear
  8. Just because you don't think this will help doesn't mean others feel the same. This is only the first step in allowing players to make the way they look unique. As i think someone mentioned, Bioware will be putting customization options in the cartel market, though this is not definate. The little changes will make a big difference in time, trust me.
  9. The addition of an appearance tab would be a huge success for Bioware because it shows that they are actually reading the forums and acting upon it. Look at this thread (http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=524858) and you'll see just how many people want a customization tab or similar customization options. I would personally pay for a feature like this in game because it would truly make it YOUR adventure
  10. [quote=Sambril;5166655 This is how I treat such rolls anyway, Need if that character can use the item and it would improve their stats in some way, otherwise I Greed. I also do this but the idea of auto assigning loot is to stop people needlessly pressing the need button for their companions or just cuz they want to sell it. I agree with the idea of disabling the need button if it's not for your class though. Hope Bioware is actually reading these threads
  11. I agree completely. IMO they should auto assign any loot of blue quality or above to a class that needs it then roll for it if there are two or more. E.g. If a Bounty Hunter chest comes up and there's a juggernaut and a Hunter then the Hunter should get it and not the Jugg who needed cuz it gave him more armor. If there were two Hunters then roll between them after a choice of need or greed
  12. 1) Character Gear customization tab like in DCUO 2) Class story extra content and companion conversations (e.g. When i dumped Jaesa for Vette, Jaesa promised revenge. Wheres the revenge?) 3)Scale pvp down massively 4)Reduce mod pull costs dramatically (500k is far too much but i understand the need to have it) 5)Character customization in game (Barber shop, change facial details) Race change wouldn't be practical however 6)More FPs with a good story and full of conversations and LS/DS choices and less concentrating on combat I know it's more than three things but there's just so much that can make this game better
  13. In terms of story, Sith Warrior wins hands down for me. Like people have been saying, you really feel like you are getting stronger and i think that the bosses were really good at the end of each act. The fact that you have to kill Baras and draahg like two or three times shows just how powerful they are, and how powerful you are for killing them finally. In terms of KOTOR continuity, i'd go with Jedi Knight because it's the typical hero rises from nothing story that you experienced with both Revan and Meetra Surik in Kotors 1 & 2 respectively. The Knight's story got a bit weird during act 2 end, act 3 start because of the whole brainwashing thing. Act 1 of the Knight is probably one of my favorite in the game because it had a true blend of what being a jedi is all about. The ability to turn Lord Praven for example. After the emotional scene of your master's death and taking your revenge on Darth Angral, the story kind of went downhill. The act three finale was good though and it almost redeemed the entirety of acts 2 and 3. BTW i didn't put any spoiler tabs in this because this thread is comparing the full stories so its all one big spoiler in itself.
