  2. so a sniper is viable at 10m AND 30m?? this is news to me and as i have said before the person i quoted never said anything about L2P.. but every other poster in this thread has, which is who that was aimed at.
  3. i wasnt saying that you stated the "L2P" i was stating in general of this thread.. I used your damage example because your one of the few the posted one, and the problem with pyro's is the assist train they can pull off. thus why your damage example was used. and what class is on par with pryo's at either 10m or 30m range? if you say sniper or sorcerer, well... lol. sorry if your butt hurt if i used you as an example
  4. i think all of you are missing the point here.. this isnt about 1v1 with a PT, thats not a problem - i'll offer a 1v1 to a PT on my scoundrel on Po5 and win all day. The problem is the assist train an assault/pyro can pull. earlier someone mentioned a TD/RS and one other ability i can not recall, but this combo ammounted into 4.5 seconds and roughly 10k damage - then went on to argue that this cannot kill anyone so the op just needs to "L2P'. ok fine.. but what happens when a team of 2 max of 3 powertechs in rateds (anymore then 3 powertechs is pushing the comp. of a team into the negative).. with 2 assaults working together they can ammount for 20k damage in under 6 seconds on crit. thats ALOT of damage in a very short ammount of time. i dont know.. i dont like saying NERF THIS nerf that.. because i dont feel that is the answer, however i dont feel that 2 players of one AC should be able to burn a target THAT quickly. the mobility is a big issue as well i wont disagree there, having the ability to do your max ammount of damage from 10-30M is kind of akward, because no other class has this ability. previous poster(the 100 ranked VG) had some very good and constructive points on re-working the class..
  5. at any time you decide you want to get out of combat, you shouldnt have to wait 30-60 seconds for this to happen. your actions and or targets actions isnt the only thing affecting the timers.. scenario : 1. operative jumps juggernaut > whales on him for 20 seconds and becomes starved 2. operatives runs away > 6 seconds go by 3. nearby healer heals said juggernaut > 8 seconds is refreshed or stacks for every heal 4. operative is standing around waiting to drop thats just one scenario but i think it can be closely related to everything.. also i would feel that stealthers cant drop combat when a watchmen spec starts throwing out his hots in combat as the range is warzone wide, havent tested this though.

  7. so since you think powertechs are "ok".. tell me why power techs SHOULD NOT be nerfed.. take your time please.
  8. It's not a question to if they will get nerfed, its more of a when.. Anyone that wants to argue other wise play's a powertech .. Your going to get nerfed, because you are the highest burst class in the game. I wont even speak on its mobility. And god forbid running into powertech's that throw there taunt's on cooldown...
  9. that would NEVER work as you stated...... and letting the person that DC'd back into the WZ should be allowed.. and DC's are random.. but its more then 1 out of 100.... i have a flawless connection and will get dc'd from at least 2 matches a day also please dont forget the "dead body" bug or the "perma stun" bug..
  10. i also think mara/sents needs an 8 man group pull, like right before they smash they pop this pull and it yanks all 8 players within 100 meters to them and roots them in place for 3 seconds..
  11. if 4 dps were beating on 1 operative... that 4 dps must have been smashing there face into a keyboard.. this kids lil rage post about nerfing scoundrel/operatives is halarious.. try harder.

I say "3 west" they say "which way is that" I say "............snow" they say "oh ok, why didnt you just say snow, omw." snow/grass speaks to the masses.. and by masses i mean idiots. they are out there, and i would rather say snow or grass then to attempt to use east/west or left/right because people are for lack of a better word just dumb. When i call out i want my cannon fodder to arrive ASAP, not explain directions to the challenged. /thread

  14. i am a scoundrel... so now that is out in the open, here is my story. Last night in huttball(full pug) im doing my thing. being in position for passes and what not, healing here n there, tossing the balls to whoever is open except noone is open. there are 4 gun slingers on my team all just sitting in mid, except THEY'RE NOT KILLING ANYBODY.. even worse they're not even grabbing the ball. the final score was 5-5.. i scored ALL 5 goals(remember im a scoundrel). and when i said "GET THE BALL AND TURTLE" guess what the 4 gunslingers did? nothing at which point a powertech grabbed the ball and passed to a sorcerer, who tried to score and ended up getting stun locked by me in a fire for me to get the ball / grab sprint / and camp at the medpac for 15 seconds to win the game. Huttball is won by those who have brains. scoundrels do have it hardest of all the classes(in my opinion) but we can still be useful with good positioning (we do have stealth after all).
  15. i truely have no idea what merc's you have been fighting.. because your blade specced ops. you should be able to LOL a sorc/sage WAY before a merc
  16. i didnt touch on bubbles because that is your upper hand.. the upper hand for a sorc/sage is the ability to knock/back - bubble - sprint.. having said that i have an insta cast heal that crits for 2.5-3.2k that re-procs when im below 30%.. also the ability to stealth when being focused and go somewhere unseen... you can sprint away but only to get pulled back. and merc's are far from second rate... just noone seems to know how to play them........ THEY have the highest single target HPS above you and me. you have the highest utility out of the 3.. and we have the on the go survivability.. thats kinda of a quick TL;DR version of things..
  17. just a few things heres.... 1.) sorc's have more burst healing.. if they can get there big heal off, with just a long cast time its so easy to interupt its not even funny.. my injection crits in the high 5's and my infusion crits in the high 4's low 5's (both are under 2 sec cast time). 2.) alot of sorc's will argue with you on the AoE healing aspect in pvp because people have to "stand" in it. where as the operative can cast it on the target on the go and it heal people. 3.) 6% self heal nerf was so minor that i've hardly if at all noticed it on the pts with the removal of relics/adrenals. still getting around.. still getting 3% all around and 3% self from survival training, and a 3% all time and 6% addiotional while TA is active from medical consult.

Not every healing operative/scoundrel is good.. but there are more good then bade.. would you like to know why?? being the most nerfed class in the game = lots of people rerolling to new toons... not to mention operatives and scoundrels are the lowest played heal class in the game.. the more there is of something, the more bad there is to find in it.
  19. the only other class that it remotely affects is pyro PT's/combat VG's edit : forgot infiltration and deception but the change on relics is going to be rather amazing... we'll see what that change to relics does for pure dps operatives.. and the new ability to use recuperate in stealth is pretty kool.. ill stick to my hybrid though
  20. the increase to all healing works with the WZ medpac as well.. try popping a WZ medpac on top of a surgical probe.. i usually do this and net close to 10k health.. makes people pretty angry
  21. yes because operatives and scoundrels have caused the most tears in this game.. thus leading to a nerf every...single..patch..
  22. Im trying to see what he's actually speaking about, because the only buff we get from having a TA active is listed below. "Increases all healing dealt by 3% at all times and an additional 6% while tactical advantage is active. Additionally increases the duration of Tactical Advantage by 6 seconds." And if thats the case, the previous person that posted at the top is mis-informed.. And the person that said we can only max at 2 is very mis-informed
  23. 1v1 marauder vs concealment = marauder wins 1v1 marauder vs lethality = marauder wins 1v1 marauder vs hybrid = operative wins 1v1 marauder vs medicine = operative wins see where im going here? the bottom line for the hybrid is that dps spec no longer have the ability to burst a class down. sure if were getting ignored, then yeah pump out those numbers in dps and have fun with it, but if your a good operative, your going to get focused in organized pvp every single time your leave stealth.
