  1. Twice I've gotten dropped from the server back in to the server list. The second time, which happened just minutes ago, I am now unable to log back in to the harbinger. Even though the server population status is light, there's a 60 minute que showing.
  2. To answer your question, my scoundrel has been heal spec 99% of the time from lvl 10 to 50. Sure, I tried the dps spec once or twice, but wasn't feelin it so I remained heal spec. Lets see, I have a lvl 50 shadow that's a pve tank, and from time to time I'll respec dps for pvp, have tried both infiltration and balance spec. My sniper and sorc (sorc was either heal spec or lightning dps spec for raiding, sniper I believe was marksman when I played him again for raiding) are on a dead server and I haven't played either of those in months. My commando has been gunnery spec since lvl 10 and I've never changed it. Please, point out to me where my fotm OP class is in my lineup.
  3. No, I did say earlier that for pvp elemental and internal need to be mitigated just like kinetic and energy.
  4. Ok, I can admit that I mispoke and didn't fully understand what damage types they use as primary hitters. It isn't a primary damage ability, however it is a supporting and contributing damage ability. Along with the elemental damage it also makes other attacks stronger and the elemental damage can be instantly reapplied after cleansing.
  5. As far as numbers, I say this. You have stated that your highest crit would be in the neighborhood of 3800 dmg. To this I say WRONG!. I have repeatedly been hit by rail shots in the 6k dmg range (and when I get over this frustration and decide to play again, I'll take screen shots to prove it) and that's with 1180 expertise. And yes, I do know what a rail shot sounds like, I've been ***** by them enough. No, I can't tell you what the DoT's were hitting me for because honestly I don't sit there watching the dmg ticks on my screen, I'm actively trying to survive and find an avenue of escape. The only thing I can say for certain is that I have been stunned repeatedly (not chain stunned) and from the time I'm stunned until it breaks (if I don't have a cc breaker off cd) if I'm not dead I am certainly very close to it. I don't know what else to tell you other then my experience with every pyro encounter. God forbid that I get jumped by 2 of them, I'm dead before I can turn and run (slight over exaggeration). Sure, it is possible that I saw a dot on me, cleansed it and went back to healing my team or myself, only to find the dot right back on me. It is also possible that lag plays an issue since with the recent server transfers our server has become fairly laggy.
  6. I never said thier entire burst is based on elemental. I know that every killing blow I've received from a pyro is from rail shot. I also know that the burns they apply to you do in fact hurt and if I'm not mistaken will cycle the CD on rail shot though I don't know the exact %. And if I'm not mistaken, while there is an elemental DoT applied on a target then certain if not all attacks on that target are at an increased damage. I knew a few things about the class, but not everything. I have stated that the elemental damage needs to be reduced or somehow mitigated and stated this because there is no mitigation for elemental damage and it can be instantly reapplied after cleansing it. No, I can't point to everything they hit me with, not sure if combat logging will show that information but I can look in to it. And you refute my arguments and want to throw numbers out, however even one of your own has stated that it is in fact very possible to kill someone in 5 seconds with the burst damage pt pyro's do.
  7. East and West does not change based on which side you are on. The map is still oriented north regardless, east will always be east and west will always be west. Snow and Grass are non-descriptive if you're sitting in mid and personally I just ignore people that use snow and grass as directions. If you are standing in mid, and someone calls east, all you gotta do is look at your radar, point your directional arrow east, and off you go. just that simple, unless people don't know which way is east and which way is west.
  8. Oh believe me, I pay attention when I have debuffs/DoT's applied. Its how I can manage marauders/sentinels by cleansing off their bleed effect/dmg boost. As soon as I see a burn DoT or explosive charge of some sort on me it gets cleansed immediately. And its hard to miss my body being on fire animation. Also, I have to ask, every time I've fought (been attacked by is more accurate) a BH I get this 5 stack of missiles in my debuff section that can't be cleansed. What is that?? Unfortunately the debuff effects I recieve from a PT are all back an instant after being cleansed and my cleanse is on CD and I'm dead before it finishes.
  9. Oh, one last thing I want to add to this remark. I'll say that the average and below average players give me no trouble for the classes that I mentioned that I can deal with. I'm smart enough to know what to avoid, what to CC, when to pop dodge, and when running my tail off to use my absorb which also increases healing recieved. I use LoS as much as I can and still be an effective healer for my team. I'm by no means a noob or an unskilled player. Now there are better players out there then me for sure, I've gotten wrecked by a juggernaut once, probably more so because I took for granted that he was a juggernaut and was overconfident, but he beat me 1 on 1 none the less. And I'm not screaming "nerf juggernauts!!". There have been a handful of marauders/sentinels and even operatives that can put a serious hurt on me 1 on 1 and snipers/gunslingers wreck me if I'm not paying attention. So yes, I can be beaten 1 on 1 if they are superior to me in skill/gear and ability to play their character, or just my lack of attention to the situation. However, and yes, you knew the however was coming. All that being said, I have never been able to escape or survive a pyro (and there is 1 specific vanguard that would wreck me without fail) and would be dead so fast that I had no chance of survival. I wish I were exagerating when I say that I would be dead within the time thier stun wears off, if I have no stun breaker available, or very shortly there after.
  10. Yeah, I'm famliar with force shroud/resilience as I do have a lvl 50 shadow. I can't honestly pinpoint a specific time and exact events that occured when I tried to CC someone and they ignored it and for that matter I couldn't even tell you what class they were when it happened since I was in the process of trying to keep a tank alive in huttball. I do know that they had no resolve bar, and they weren't glowing, beyond that I just remember the "wth" over vent "that dude just ignored my stun with no resolve" lol.
  11. I don't have a problem if a class can kill me 1 on 1, I do have a problem that they can do it without me having even the slightest chance of getting away. I have a problem with the fact that no matter what I do, I can blow whatever cooldowns I want, that they can kill me before 2 cycles of my HoT's will tick. I have a problem with the fact that there is no counter to what they do. And yeah, I knew by telling you what I am and comparing them to my experience with other classes, that someone would jump on the "oh, you're just mad because they can kill you 1 on 1 and no-one else can" conclusion. And yes, I have had other classes kill me 1 on 1 after an exhaustive battle, but I'm fine with that, was a fun battle and they won, cool beans. Edit: I also want to mention that as a healer, more times then not I'm perfectly visable, although trying to not be obvious about my presence.
  12. You say that, but as long as I have any type of CD, whether its a defensive or stun, as a scoundrel healer, a single marauder is absolutely no threat to me. Sure, get 2 or 3 of them on me and I've got issues without outside help. Snipers/Gunslingers I can manage just by LoS'ing them since thier big hitters requires them to be in cover, juggernauts/gaurdians are less of an issue then marauders, though more annoying with the push. DPS Operatives or Scoundrels again aren't too much of an issue as long as I have CD's available. Assassins and Shadows can be an issue depending on their spec, save with sorcs/sages. I can deal with/manage encounters with any class except pt's and vanguards that have spec'd into pyrotech/assault. This is of course refering to 1 on 1. You may believe I'm exagerating when I get melted within or shortly after a stun from one, but it isn't. As I mentioned before, I can't tell you every attack they are hitting me with, but I can tell you which attack they've been kiling me with (at least the pt pyro's, I don't find vanguard version often). Now I don't concider myself a bad, and I would have to say by the reaction of the other teams that got to know me that they wouldn't concider me bad either since when I show up on scene, half of thier team will chase me through a WZ from start to finish just to keep me out of the action. Discect what I say all you want. Post the numbers you do all you want. Defend the OP burst damage of a pt pyro/vg assault all you like. But as someone on the receiving end quite often and getting melted in less time then it takes for you to read this sentence, they're massively OP.
  13. Sure, I can't tell you what attacks they are using to kill me because I don't play one. I won't stoop to the fotm OP class like so many are willing to do, in order to figure out what they are hitting me with. All I can tell you is that I'm on fire and then shortly there after I get the nice little "you where defeated by so and so with rail shot doing 6k+ damage). I can only give you the information that I see on my end of things and I will be more then happy to share some screen shots once I actually feel like pvp'ing again since this imbalance has completely ruined my desire to pvp. As to a previous poster, yes, resolve is broken at the moment and I'm not the only one that has said so. I have been stuned with an already full resolve bar, I have been yanked with an already full resolve bar and I've had others ignore my stuns with no resolve bar. So take that however you'd like.
  14. Sadly no, that isn't an exageration. I have repeatedly in some matches gone from 100% (which is a little over 17k HP) to dead in the course of a stun or very shortly there after. I wish this were an exageration, but its because of this that I'm here screaming about this because it is massively rediculas. Sure, I've been chain stunned by groups and easily taken out, oh well, just gotta deal with that, nothing much you can do when your stun breaker is down. Oh, and btw, resolved hasn't worked properly since 1.3 so even with a full resolve bar I've been stunned/grappled by them.
  15. I also have 5 50's, so I don't see your point there. Currently in pvp I am playing my scoundrel healer, which in their own way are a bit op. Yes, I do know what I am talking about, no I don't try to kill them because that's not my job as a healer. When a single class can burn someone down from 100% to dead in the time it takes their stun to wear off, by themselves mind you, that is by far OP. If you don't think it is, please enlighten me how you manage to avoid dying to them on a healer class, without a stun breaker. No, I don't remember a PT pyro spec's tree and I'm sure its changed since I played one so I can't tell you what rotation they use, I can only tell you what I've tried to do to avoid getting totally owned by them, and regardless of what I've tried, it doesn't happen. Do I think that as a healer I shouldn't be killable? No, that isn't it at all, I die plenty to other classes, but never in 4-6 seconds that it takes a pyrotech to kill me. Elemental and Internal damage aren't mitigated unless you're a tank, and even then the mitigation is minor. The raw damage of those types of attacks need to be reduced in pvp, OR, there needs to be a higher amount of mitigation offered against those attacks. That's the short and simple of it and whether or not you agree, I don't care. You can call it whining all you like, I don't really care what you think. I will continue being overtly vocal until I see the elemental and internal damage mitigation brought in line with kinetic and energy (at least for pvp) or those tree's that have those types of damage as their primary damage type beaten with a nerf bat to bring thier damage in line with kinetic/energy.
