  1. Continuous message that "Launcher is experiencing unexpected problems, please try again." This has been going on for a half hour on and off checks. I've been having problems trying to get in since the changeover. Yes, I'm a subscribed long time player.
  2. Thank you for replying. My problem was I could not find a taxi or transport out of the city. I could not get back to the Swamp. It is solved - I went to my Stronghold. There is a 'Play' button there that took me back into Kote, into the Endless Swamp.
  3. I'm trying to get from the Undercity, back to the Endless Swamp. I crashed in the Endless Swamp not long after entering it, and when I came back into the game, I was on my ship. I traveled from the ship to the Undercity, I'm not supposed to be here yet apparently, as no ncps have answered any of my questions. I've explored the city. I'm Sith. The help I need is this: is there a taxi anywhere in the city? I've followed the arrows on the map back thru the 'to the Gravestone" and shuttle/taxi area. The shuttle is there, the taxi is not. I'm going back into the game and continue looking.
  4. I'l like to remove my Rakata gear from Andronokus and legacy from Talos. I have tried trading, and can't get a trade menu to come up - tried it on 3 companions. I also tried just handing it over (get destroy message, so no on that one. I have summoned them in my ship, in my stronghold, and on fleet. No luck any location. It's been a while since I swapped gear out on them, since back when the excess stots on them were removed. I removed their gear - just in case - didn't want items lost in mail. On my mains anyway. So I know that I had no problems them. (none of my alts. lost gear). I have changed out their gear as I leveled, until today? So maybe I'm missing that 'Doh!' step that's right in front of me?
  5. Greysilk, Old Timers Guild I'll last about 15 seconds, but then it looks like fun to at least try.
  6. Bobbafeet. Saw this one back in beginning 2012, before server mergers. Struck me as funny.
  7. I agree that place is great, but really horrible for vertigo. Love the signs. And I did try luring Zero out with no luck. Then I tried hitting him from the outside. I hit him, but he refused to move. I tried knockback out the door. None of them worked. Just used Khem to tank and spank and threw as many hits on Zero as possible in between heals/bubbles Khem. Took me so many falls off the dang platforms I gave up counting. Patience and you'll get him. Now to go get the Lord T. sigh.
  8. I'm a 55 sorcerer and I agree that Patient Zero is hardest mob I've soloed so far. I tried at 53 and got slaughtered. Then at 55, with better gear, I tried with healer, 2x. Then with Khem, 2x. Finally, I stayed totally in background and then let Khem tank & spank while I healed/bubbled him. The hairiest part was when Zero spawned his little zero's. Got thru that and kept Khem's health up, and finished with about 1% left on Khem and 50% on me. If there is an easier way or a trick, I don't know of it. Just keep trying.
  9. Allowing companions into operations would be a good way to allow us to make full use of them. There are times when my healer works with me better than Khem. But I've had little actual reason to work with Andronikus or Ashara. Ashara does not work well with female mains no matter how well she is treated or gifted, in my experience. Double equipping hk-51, at the time of acquiring him, with the exact same set of gear he was wearing, was a waste, as no other character can use it: stripping the mods was the only thing to do. And as much as I like Hk-51, after equipping self, healer and Khem, the incentive to equip and work with other characters does not warrant the time or cost. Andronikus' story line is finished, and a ranged companion is just not a great help to me as a sorcerer: he does not protect me nor heal me. Others will disagree I'm sure. In time I may gear both Xerse and Hk-51 but not soon. Too much else to do. Khem tanks very well, Talos heals very well. I solo with both very well. I would like to do more than just solo with my companions. I would even like to be able to group with two of them at a time. Myself, Khem and Talos woud be a very good group. I 3 boxed in EQ, so running 2 companions at the same time is not that difficult. Before I'm reminded that this is an mmo, I respond, it is a very good solo game also. And I break out in hives at the thought of Pugs. They try, I try. we fail. By soloing I lose out on an important part of the game, the high end ops. etc. I have participated in some of them. I like exploring and solving the quests myself. SWtor is very good, imo, in that it gives choices. Solo, group, craft, use what ever companion you wish.
  10. Been here since day one. Subscriber all the way. Looking forward to 2.0., ordered it in Dec. I expect to be here for a year or two more, depending on game world events like the Rakghouls and Hutt Scavenger Hunt, and new expansions. I like that I can solo and level at a decent rate. I like my guild and events I do with them. I love the story lines. I love the character story lines, for the most part. I think the graphics and animation are first rate. Maybe there Is too much gear to chose from, but then there always is in any game today. CS does a decent job. I give them all the info. they require and they have always come back to me with help. I like the way the dev's continue to 'tweak' the game. I think they do listen. . Over all I think the dev's. do a decent job. I don't like crafting and I feel that I should. Every character on every game I've played, I've crafted. When I hit 400 I thought well, now when I send my guy out, he can make 5 items at a time for me. Great. I should like that, but I don't. There are some items recipes need that are so expensive that they make making it myself prohibitive. I just collect the mat's and pay someone else, or buy it on the GTK. I will work for the expensive items. Crafting has paid off for me in that I make items for my own low level characters and companions cheaper than I can buy them. And enjoy it. I don't enjoy grinding dailies for a week to afford one item I need (like molecular stabilizer for hitls) to buy off another player, to be able to make one item myself. I'm working on that by leveling all crafting to 400. I'm not saying this as well as I wanted to: I just think that the difference between what I craft and what I can sell on GTK dose not warrant the time I spend on the high price items. I would like to see a better way of sorting the crafting recipies. I don't like the Cartel store selling armor for 'real money'. I realize that it is here to stay. But it is another undercut to in-game crafting. I don't like calls going out for Flashpoints/Ops with the defining call: "be geared and know the fight"-within a week of the new Flashpoint/Ops coming out. Slap NDAs on beta testers and don't allow them to set up video tell-all's before the game has gone live. But this is the way it is everywhere. I don't have to use any of those sites, I like to explore and find things on my own., and I do. But, to play Flashpoints/Ops I have to do this in order to get grouped. So those videos I watch. Being able to 'google' all the games content without putting any effort into figuring out game content themselves, is detrimental to both the game and themselves. Gamers flock in like locusts, google, play, leave. And then excellent games like SWtor are forced to go F2P. F2P not a bad thing in that it saved more than one game, I guess. I played Everquest from day one, Mar. 1999, for 8 years. Then played a variety of games that never matched up to what I was expecting, since I had cut my teeth, so to speak on EQ. None ever will match EQI think. SWtor is closest I've found for long term play, that I not only enjoy, but actually intend to stay around for, since I played EQ. So yes I will stay for the long haul.
  11. Outstanding. The 2 hour bind delay is fine. I love the ability to match companion gear, no more harleqin outfits. These are the type of things that add to the games enjoyment, not so much needed as just nice to have, like the ability to change your face's expressions. This is my wish list: Robes: I would like to see a nice high level solid black hooded robe with a cape and solid black lower robe for my female sorcerer. I may have missed them, but I keep looking. The same for my Jedi sage, in Jedi brown of course. Fashion: I would like to see the robes with hoods be able to lay back on shoulders or show over head. My Jedi's wearing a robe with a hood down on shoulders, but can't raise it. My sith is wearing a robe with a hood over her head, but can't lower it. Fashion is not a deal breaker, just a wish list Transportation: I would like to see the ability to buy or tame mounts. They rode Tauntauns on tatooine. That could be fun. I don't have a problem with transportation in game. Transport on Belsavis is a bit difficult until you find the Rakatta prison transporters. But overall, you can get around very well with a bit of exploration. Medic closest to you: I have noticed on several of the planets, that when you die in certain dungeons and must get teleported out to a medic, either by choice or game rule, you get sent past the nearest medic. There is an instance just south of the Healers Temple on Voss. If you chose to heal at a medic, you do not go to the temple, it sends you to another medic further away. Dungeon/instance TP button: An option to click back to the start of the longer dungeon/instances when we have cleared them to the end. Some of these respawn behind us, and so you have to fight your way back out. This can be good if you want the extra exp./loot. But it can be a pain if you just want out. And again, yes there is a getaround, just TP out with Quick Travel. As said, just wishing. I'm not talking about Flashpoints here, just personal instances. Sarlaak: not sure I've spelled this right, I mean the critter in the hole on Tattoine that takes 2,000 years to digest you. I'd like to see tentacles or such like emerge from the hole every now and then: or movement of some kind. Right now it just sits there and looks menacing. Again, just an observation. Achievments: I'm hoping for more world achievments in the future. They are great fun. I love the speeder I got in the Scavenger Hunt, missing turbine, sparks and all. I do really hope that no further nurfs are done to general game play. Don't cut back the story lines, or make quests easier, or make the classes to OP. Then it just gets boring. All in all, I think the game is great fun. I totally enjoy playing. I appreciate the way the dev's continue to tweek it here and there. Keep up the good work. Make it harder
  12. I'm a etired Civil Engineering Tech. I played computer games in the 1980s, and started playing mmorpg in the late 1990's. My brother, a retired chef; brother-in-law a High School teacher; 1 great niece and great nephew, 1 grandchild, and a bunch of friends, all have played Wow now and most have moved on to Swtor. (I still have an active acct. on Wow, friends there that I enjoy visiting with, till they move ). I'm having a great deal of fun. Something I haven't experienced in an online game since beta EQ.
  13. I solo and that solves my problem with "hurry up and go groups". True, I have to wait a few extra levels to solo an FP, but that is something I can live with. My level 35 has soloed up to Cademimu, that's next. While the gear is too low for me by the time I run the instance, it does not bother me. I'm a crafter and make my own gear, with more that one avatar I am pretty well equipted. I love SWtor for the story line and the immersion. I have no desire to run the FP's over and over again. Once is enough. And I will do it my way, at my pace. Now there is more than enough to keep a player exploring, class experimenting, and crafting. I've started on the starship wars. There is pvp to look forward to in due course of time. And with all my companions to back me in many game play styles-I'm not alone. Blowing thru the gameworld in 3 months and then complaining of boredom always makes me wonder why these players bother to play MMOLRPG's, console games are really better suited to that play style? Fast, easy to reach end game. And yes, I've been asked why I bother to play MMOLRPG's if I don't want to group. The answer is: I have grouped. I don't do well in groups. There are lots of people in the RL world, I don't have to interact with them all, same in game world. Probably the best answer is my old Bartleby score: Explorer 80%, Killer 60%, Achiever 33%, Social 27%. I'm willing to be helpful in game, I'm just not socialable. In any case, SWtor is fairly big, there is room for all types of game play.
  14. I agree with posters here on two points. The UI needs work. The game needs mods. But, not yet to either. The UI most assuredly works, but....I would love to set mine up with 'buttonforge', as I have in Wow. And I miss 'tells' 'whispers' because I have never had a chat window in the upper left corner of my screen-I usually run 3 chat windows: personal, guild, raid. I don't think total mods should be allowed yet. Because the game reminds me a LOT of original EQ. The overall feel, the terminology, the dev's -all are now uniquely Star Wars, but flavored like the old EQ for some reason. And old EQ was not too forgiving of personal mods simply because it was so 'new' for the time, and unstable. The point being, SW, is barely out of Beta, it's still being 'debugged' with patches often. SWtOR is a beautiful world. Get the game stable. Then mod it.
