Hi all, and thank you in advance for any help you may give me. I am seeking to build my first computer, and I want it to handle swtor with no problem. Additional notes include, I will be using a 32" LCD tv (via HMDI connection) as my monitor because I already have it for my xbox and I don't really need 2 screens in my small dorm room. After reading April 27th's Q & A, a question came up when I read the answer about character transfers. It appears from the wording of the answer that free transfers will only be allowed to certain servers. I rerolled from zez-kai-el to ajunta pall, leaving 1 50, and 2 30s behind on zez. So do I essentially have to get lucky/hope that ajunta pall is one of the servers I can transfer to for free? Or will I be able to merge the characters from both servers onto another server all for free? I just don't want there to be a situation where I have to pay for a transfer because I picked the "wrong" server to reroll on.

I agree. However, to please the nay-sayers with their counters of "how do you invite/mail someone who shares a name with multiple other people?" I think there should be a username (which must be unique) and a display name (which doesn't need to be unique). All you have to do is ask the person their username and you can trade/invite them no problems. It could be added to the friend's list, that way you don't have to memorize everyone you know's username. Then people could have the name they want and Bioware could roll out these server transfers quicker.

Even if they don't let you transfer, you should reroll in the meantime until they release transfers for everyone, and then transfer. Most likely you will hit 50 on a reroll'd before that day comes and you might as well do it with your friends and finish your other characters later.

Not if the defender knows what they're doing and pulls the person off the node before dieing, making the attacker have to run all the way back to the node and the defender is back on his speeder and interrupting the capture when it's not even halfway through.

Nay, this game already diverges far enough from star wars with black-core lightsabers and the ridiculous endgame armor. Instead they should make the lightning blue, you know, like it was in every star wars movie, game, animation (including the trailer for THIS game) that came before it, instead of this awkward purple color.

I fully agree. Let's hope this thread catches their attention. What pissed me off most was the fact that you can't find armor for siths that looks like the armor worn in the trailer videos. I just want a black cloak, maybe with some armor and bulky bracers underneath, I don't, however, want to look like a terminator machine or a red sauron.

In the new (1.2) medal system, a team can win the "dauntless" medals for finishing a match quickly. This is a nice bonus for dominating the other team, but there is a whole in it. Currently, either team in huttball, civil war, and novare coast are cabale of winning these medals. But if you are the initial attacking team in voidstar, you can't get these medals no matter what. I realized this yesterday when my team dominated made it all the way to the datacore and then we had to defend, and we kept them to the second set of doors. After looking at the final scoreboard, I realized that if we had defended first, we would have gotten an extra 3-4 medals because the match would have ended earlier. I suggest a point system for voidstar matches. Each objective is worth 1 point, making 6 points total (first door, bridge, second door, forcefield, final door, and datacore.) If the initial attacking team keeps the opposing team at the second set of doors, then at the end of the match there is a 3 point difference, and the winning team should receive a medal for each point. Good idea? Bad idea? Anyone else noticed this?

I have obtained augment schematics from crit'd sliced part missions.

I agree. Slicing is no longer a viable gathering skill. The only profit I've seen from it is when I crit a sliced tech part mission and get some level 22 augment schematics to sell. I have yet to sell any of the grade 6 blue or purple materials, has anyone had any luck here?
