  1. So I haven't seen this asked anywhere else, so maybe someone here has an answer. I was on the Hedaar Soongh (PVP) server when I started back in early access. It became a very dead server so I decided to enjoy the game I probably should move to another server. So I looked at some of the more heavily populated servers and started a new Character on Jedi Covenant. Now I have a Trooper & another Jedi Knight over on the old server, and since I'm pretty sure Jedi Covenant will not be a destination server for any server at this point much less I get lucky and it be the one for my old server. My question is should I transfer to the new server that is assigned with these character and wait till I can transfer them to Jedi Covenant? or should I just leave it there and wait till some other options for transfers become available. My fear is I'll transfer and Bioware will say "oops sorry you used your one free transfer now you got to pay to get it on the server you really wanted it on." I guess knowing what type of transfers might be available in the future would help me to decide. I think the way they're doing this first transfer makes a lot of sense, but what I would have probably of done would of been to say here are the 20 origin server, and here are the 20 Destination servers. You can transfer all your characters to any of the 20 Destination servers as opposed to just having one destination instead. Seems it would of made a little more sense.
  2. I think it would of been cool if the story changed some once you selected your advanced class
  3. Uh Yeah Jedi Knight has Guardian & Sentinel, and Consular has Shadow & Sage, they're just a different way of classifying them from the KOTOR way.
  4. Great post man, it really sums up a lot of little things that they could do to improve this game fairly quickly. It's nice to see I'm not the only one confused about the whole crafting & PVP gear things. If more posts were like this we'd have a pretty awesome game on our hands.
  5. It seems to me the one major thing this game is lacking is community. At this point joining a Guild has little value other than finding people to play with. When will we hear more details (i.e. time-frames & system details) on Guild systems you are planning for this game?
  6. I know there are a few over at SWTORUI.com. Check it out I got some ideas there.
  7. Has Anyone played this since 1.2? I tried last night at level 41 and completed most of it until the part where I had to take on the Boss. Since the patch I'm having a very hard time taking damage, and I've changed up my rotation to see if that would help, but usually like most people I've been using Elara to keep me healed while I take on enemies, but in this mission that is not an option unfortunately, and Vik & Yuun & x4 tend to die very quickly for tanks. Any advice would be helpful.
  8. Great Post, I've played MMO's before never really been interested in PVP so I never really tried to learn the dynamics around it. This is a good starter guide. I'd be interested in seeing a part 2 guide if you're willing that talks about specifics classes etc... Great job.
  9. Yeah the decision to not go with Server forums for recruiting, and event planning makes no sense to me. The one thing SWG had that was better than here was great gaming community, was there smack talk yes, but overall it really us a reason to PVP against the other faction. They really need to bring in server forums, and let the natural rivalries grow which is ultimately what will keep people playing this game, when everyone's hit 50. Not to mention there really isn't a real reason to be in a guild in this game other than to find a group of friends to play with all the time.
  10. I agree I would also add why can't I right click, and have an option to add that person to my fiends list, so I don't have to worry about typing the name correctly.
  11. I always wondered why it wasn't like this from the beginning, if I remember correctly in SWG this was the case. Let's see we can get a hologram that shows up on our little holo recorder, but yet I can't get an email? Not very logical if you ask me. I like your Futuristic Harry Potter Owls Idea it would make it a little funner.
  12. I enjoyed SWG myself a lot and played it for 3 years, but it had a lot of problems I think people forget that. Some of the things i really would have liked to see in SWTOR was a JTL type sapce experience which might still be on it's way (Remember SWG didn't launch with any space, player cities, or mounts). Player housing & cities was probably one of the best features of the game besides crafting. But balance was terrible in the pre-CU game there was always another FOTM especially once people started grinding out professions to unlock Jedi. Part of the reason for this was the number of professions & hybrid professions they had in the game, while it was nice to have the options it was almost impossible to balance. If you look at it every class in SWTOR has 2 advanced classes in which each has 3 skill trees you can climb for different specialties. One of them being shared between the advanced classes. You can also go the hybrid approach between the specialties which how that will work out remains to be seen. In SWG you had your combat skill as separate profession SWTOR basically consolidates it and gives you the option to go tank, Healer, DPS (Ranged & Melee) for most of the 8 classes, and be fairly viable in PVE possibly PVP. The questing system in SWG was horrible, you can tell that BW made this one of the most important facets of developing this game. I love the questing sytem , I never feel like I'm grinding, and the missions all make sense to my character's story & progression. And how about the all the bugs. SWG had tons of them, I remember there being bugs from the first few months of the game 3 years later. I think the dev team for that game was uhugely inexperienced on what it took to run one of these games, and never was able to get it right. In comparison SWTOR has very few bugs, and really is a polished game. Are there need for improvements yes of course, but based on what I've seen of the game so far I'm confident this dev team is capable of handling those changes & addiitions. I think at some point they had to say they were releasing with a set of features that were most important to making the game playable & fun. I'm sure over the next few weeks & months we'll see a lot of changes & additions that make the game that much better. Hope you didn't take this as a flame, but I'm just trying to point out the differences between the two games.
  13. Posts like these are why these forums need a thanks or like button under posts. LOL
  14. You're right it doesn't matter, was just curious. Do you see me complaining? Just asking a question is all. No need to be so negative.
  15. Anyone get their Origin Purchase code yet? I think they were supposed to go out today. Just trying to figure out if I should call them or wait a little.
  16. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Mr. Lawyer sir, shouldn't you be in court or something instead of worrying about a game that hasn't launched officially yet. ahhahahahahahahahahahahaha.
