  1. I don't know if there's more to this or this is all there is, but my advice is to put your server name in this thread. You're likely to get at least one recruitment PM just on account of not (apparently) coming off as a jerk. Edit: oh, and if this isn't clear enough, based on your story, you were in a garbage guild. No reasonable guild kicks someone for underperforming in their first 4 matches in the lowbies, let alone a healer, if you even were underperforming, which isn't necessarily the case.
  2. Just wanted to say this type of detailed, blunt developer feedback is very, very welcome.
  3. Not if you buff project/shock. Shock's got a 9(?) second cooldown and costs a $*%^ ton of force, so it's unlikely that it would be used indiscriminately as soon as it comes off cooldown and mess up sustained damage. Sorc would run out of force (at least, madness and madness heavy hybrids would, who are the ones who both need burst the most and have the best talents for shock). Only thing I use shock for now is for mobile damage while kiting and sometimes as an execute. If shock got a 50% damage increase...I'm not so certain that would change what I use shock for. Would certainly make duels go quicker though.
  4. I haven't seen it on force lightning ever. Sometimes it delays, but it always catches up to where it's supposed to be by the end of the channel. I HAVE seen dark infusion clock as many as 3 times before getting a cast off. Funny, though that he plays a PT. I don't think I've ever missed a global (like what happens with assassinate) on any PT or Vanguard ability ever.
  5. You're right to criticize them for being cowards, but you're criticizing them for the wrong reason. What they were doing is q ing in two groups, declining q until they got a simultaneous pop and trying to roll the pug bracket with 8 guys. Whenever they'd end up on different teams instead of the same, they drop just before the counter so the match will end and they can go right back to trying to 8 queue. I might be alone in this, but I think this behavior in the pug bracket should merit a 48 hour warzone ban. There's a bracket for teams of 8. It's not the one they're trying to 8 q for.
  6. This. Ilum failed because of lag.
  7. I think you'd need to do away with the fleets and move all the stuff on the fleets to, I don't know, Ilum or something for this to work. It's not unlikely you'd be trying to collect a bounty on someone who may not leave the fleet (apart from warzones, ops or alts) for months at a time.
  8. Your defensive stats work great with railshot. Many pyros don't use much accuracy and, since railshot IS effected by defense rating, you can stack defense and watch it miss quite often.
  9. These three changes would make every melee, except carnage marauders, obsolete. Pyro PTs are already strong, if you were to make pyromercs them, but with 30m, carnage is the only melee that could kill them. Maybe Hybrid jugg tanks. And if lightning sorcerors could spam llghtning strike while moving...that procs chain lightning about every 8 seconds. With EB, force slow, electrocute and self-backlash, it would just be impossible to close ground on them, while they do 1.4-3k damage every global and 2.5-5k to 6 targets every 6-8 seconds, while not losing an inch of ground. And it would do even more for hybrids, who'd be throwing out deathfields periodically. What you're suggesting would be worse for warzones than the smasher epidemic.
  10. Lightning/TK-probably just needs a flat damage increase of something like 10%-15% (this is also about what it trails behind snipers and marauders in ops). It's survivability sucks and it's turrety, but if it did big damage, that might be a fair tradeoff. Madness/balance-needs better force regen and an increase in burst. Preferably burst while kiting Immortal-immortal needs Unstoppable moved into its tree instead of the vigilance tree. Preferably high in the tree so rage juggs can't take it. Also, it's shield needs to work on more attacks Vigilance-I wouldn't mind seeing the whole tree tossed in favor of an entirely new one. Others will disagree. AP-just a tough spec, conceptually to rebalance. Hold the line is great, but the money damager flamethrower is just sooooo situational in its usefulness. I would say, maybe have flamethrower root effected targets, but that might end up being grossly OP Pyromerc-I think they might just need a force speed equiv. Thinking about it, what if they had a skill like jet charge that just leapt them 20m directly backwards, instead of at a target? Lethality operatives/arsenal mercs-they're just not conceptually viable. Short of rewriting the trees completely, there just isn't much to like for pvp in either of these specs. Any suggestions I've seen to fix the latter. in particular, just ask for it to be a pyro PT equiv with 30m range, which would be completely and utterly OP Madness sins-I doubt there's anything that can be done to get sins to use this tree unless tanksins or hybridtanksins got nerfed badly.
  11. I'd be fine if there were a limit of 4 grouped players per team per warzone, regardless of if it's 2 groups of 2 or 1 group of 4. 4mans aren't a problem and anyone who says so is wrong. The problem is when you've got 6-8 dropping queue until they get a simultaneous pop. I've no time for griefers who are too afraid to play rateds.
  12. I think this is a terrible idea. OP's thinking that this will cause players to be more focused on objectives when, in reality, most people, from good team players to the idiots that fight duels 90 meters from the voidstar doors probably don't even know what all the medals are. Given that the dunces are just fighting people to fight people--not to farm medals (you get more fighting at objectives than you do fighting nowhere near objectives...yet the worst players still do the latter)--what this does is punishes decent and good players even more than they already are for ending up in a group with bad ones.
  13. Yeah, I don't think I've ever lost this matchup as a carnage marauder and I've only won it as a sorc against keyboard turners. Maybe once against an actual player...in 70 valor levels worth of warzones...and I probably had to use grenades. Thank God the people who spec Carnage are rare.
  14. It can be done. Need to chain a root right after the knockback (while strafing away) or have points in electric bindings. Then Obliterate isn't a problem. And actually, with the lightning madness hybrid, you've got a ton of ways to counter just about everything the rage warrior might want to do. However, if you have a rage jugg and go far enough into the middle tree for unstoppable, I know of no reason why the warrior should lose this matchup ever. Maybe someone else has had better luck than me.
  15. He's probably talking about the ragers that go far enough in Veng to get unstoppable. Then again, the whole post doesn't make any sense, so who knows.
  16. The old bubble was a bigger problem for concealment operatives than the current one. I don't think you understand what peoples' problem with the bubble spec is. It's not the same as what you don't like about it.
  17. I can't believe these buffs that are being suggested for smash. That ability is completely unbalanced. Warriors have to use leap and then another ability. This situation is unacceptable. I propose smash be eliminated completely. Instead, Force Leap and zealous leap will now autocrit for 7k to all targets in a 10m radius of where the warrior lands and build 6 rage a piece. Berserk needs to double this damage as well.
  18. A 10-15% damage increase across the board wouldn't hurt either. Can play 4 sorc specs blind...have maybe a week's experience (pve) DPSing on a Vanguard (respecced from tank) and I'm matching my sorc single target dps in worse gear. I assume, once I'm in better gear, there will be a huge gap.
  19. Yeah, but we're stupid powerful (my healer's an operative) with all our escapes, immunities and lack of channels and cast times. The frustrations other healers might have frequently don't apply to us. Someone mentioned being attacked from behind by marauders as a problem...that wouldn't accomplish anything against us unless every stun was blown, stealth and evasion were off cooldown, we had no stacks of tactical advantage, had no probes on ourselves and the marauder was specced carnage (which is sort of like saying a unicorn can be killed if hit by three bolts of lightning in a row).
  20. Keep in mind, the sorc "healer" is currently extinct, in favor or the bubble sorc. Still (sort of) serves the same purpose (bubble sorc mitigates and -prevents- damage by stunning everyone all warzone), but doesn't necessarily produce a lot of "healing" stats. If a bubble breaks from something other than damage (such as, for instance, the target clicking it off), does it count as a heal? Don't think it does. It might be that you're seeing nothing but these in most of your warzones, which wouldn't necessarily produce high heal numbers on the stats screen.
  21. You should have headed to the fleet and announced this instead of logging and posting a complaint on the forums. With no Ilum or real organized open world pvp and ranked queues taking forever, there are tons of people who would have been inclined to stomp these players. If I saw someone saying this was happening while I was crafting or waiting for a warzone to pop, I'd have dropped whatever I was doing to group up, go there and reverse grief them.
  22. Shouldn't be interrupting innervate at all. Lockout doesn't do anything to a sorc because it has a cooldown, anyway, and if innervate ticks even once, it's healed for more than half of what it's supposed to. Best-case scenario, interrupting innervate causes it to heal for a little more than half its tooltip (usually it's more like 3/4 though). Should save your interrupt for dark infusion. THAT's the spammable. And interrupting an operative is pretty pointless if the objective is to kill them. I'm not sure if I've ever stood still to use kolto injection on myself while in target range and line of sight of an enemy. If you're seeing KIj, they're probably burst healing someone else. With a sniper, they'll just get to flip out of the way and let their passive probes do the recovery work for them But anyways, I don't know what to tell you. Snipers aren't meant to hunt down things that will run or stay on the periphery of the battlefield. Which is what healers do. That's just not what your class is for. Even with a 3 second cooldown on interrupt that would still be true. Even cast-time healers like sorcs would just line of sight you and go right back to what they were doing.
  23. I'd put the points from oppressing force into chain shock, but otherwise agreed. If you're going lightning madness hybrid, this is (more or less) the spec you want. Polarity shift can free you up to fish for lightning storm procs then you can throw out some pretty decent aoe burst with CL and DF back to back. Deathmark isn't great without the extra dot anyway and parasitism becomes useful only when you have points in creeping terror and devour. Never understood the thinking behind that spec. Lose the 31 point root/dot to gain either barrage or electric bindings...but not both. The first way sacrifices a little bit of total damage and a great kiting tool for a little bit of burst vs madness. The second way sacrifices a bunch of damage for a better root on a longer cooldown vs madness. Both sacrifice dps and survivability vs the "more even" hybrid specs.
  24. Actually he said he does better in ranked, which I find funny considering arsenal merc's ramp up exceeds TTK and pyro's doesn't. Yes you can kite with a pyro, like madness. Yes it has a channel needed to proc it's highest damage/CT skill, like madness. And yes, gunnery and lightning are two trees designed for non-human opponents that only a fool would take into a warzone. Mercs do. Sorcs don't. Get a clue from them.
