  1. Story considered, It seemed more logical to me that Jorgan would be promoted back to lieutenant. As he was demoted early in the story for reasons that where "less than legitimate." I never considered the ramifications of not promoting "what's her name." I do know that I did not lose any affection points with her.
  2. THIS. Is my number one coolest thing in 1.2. I can't wait! Great job Bio.
  3. This is awesome. and with Google Tap, I'll have more time to play this. I can't wait to play a game within a game within a game.
  4. I play a Sith Warrior and my crafting skill is Synthweaving. I seem to get a lot of schematics for orange gear from mission skills. Problem is, every one of them is for classes of the opposite faction. So two questions: 1) Is getting only opposite faction schematics normal? 2) If I learn, craft and revers engineer them, will they every yield a schematic/item that can be used by my faction? Thanks for your help.
  5. You are correct. A group mission simply means (at level) a mission that may need more than 4 members. You can complete the objective and gain rewards with any number of group members. So bring the whole family
  6. You might be interested in the Legacy class buffs. You can read more here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=3595185#edit3595185
  7. The companion that you wish to compare too needs to be the active and present one. Will not work on your ship or if the companion is out crafting something for you.
  8. Have you tried Shift+left-Alt+tilda+F9? This usually works with anything. Or at least lock up the game long enough to give you time to think about it. Just kidding I to have smuggler and have trouble getting my companions abilities toggled on/off sometimes.
  9. Why is this thread not stickied... err... stuck, whatever, you know what I mean. Very helpful. Thanks for the insight.
  10. I save all my commendations while completing as many missions on the planet as I can stand. When I am done, I then use the commendations to upgrade any orange gear I have and maybe get another piece. However, like posted before, if you have a lot of orange gear early in the leveling process, you will not make enough commendations to refit every piece. You may have to "leep-frog" your gear. What I mean is, on the next planet, refit the gear you couldn't refit on the planet you just left. You will also get some drops (green or otherwise) that may be better in the interim than your orange gear. Use it until you can refit the outdated orange piece. Don't forget you can buy mods and armoring as well. But don't forget to save for that speeder training. Hope this helps
  11. Thank you for the guide. It is very informative for us "noobie" troopers. As I progress, I will be referencing back to here often.
  12. It would be nice to link your crafting catalog in chat. Would make it easier for those who don't know exactly what they want and easier for the crafter to not stand there while they decide.
  13. I agree with this. I have played a F2P. It ended up being more expensive to play. Besides, I don't think it's very fun to buy your way to the top.
  14. Agreed! On a side note. If your companion is on the counter, they should at least be dancing.
  15. I noticed as a Smuggler, when I go into cover, all the enemies that I am protected against have a green shield above their head. Something like this for a tank (or anyone else for that matter) might be useful too. All enemies that you have aggro on would have some sort of icon over their head. The other stuff the OP suggested would be awesome too.
  16. I think credit, drop, or materials farming only becomes a problem if you are interfering with the mission progression of another player. For example, Instantly killing mobs that are needed to complete a mission for another player. Especially when it is obvious another player is there waiting for them to spawn again. I have not seen a whole lot of this in game.
  17. Yes, I feel the same way. I take long brakes (months at a time). I also feel you are correct when you say the biggest complainers are probably the ones that are burned out the most. I know when It's time for me to take a brake when little things start to annoy me.
  18. I agree. An "Armory" would be nice. I used to do a lot of research through it in another MMO. Not to see if group members are "good enough" but to see how experienced players are gearing and enhancing. Especially those players that managed to destroy me in PvP . You could call it the "Galactic Intelligence Database" or something. Just for story's sake, theme it like it's the file that the opposing faction keeps on you. P.S. I know..., all things being equal, If you loose at PvP it's because your opponent was better at pushing the right buttons than you.
  19. I generally agree with this. Playing a Gunslinger, I now wish there was a "target of target" option. So as DPS I can better manage aggro by stying on the tank's target. As a Juggernaut, I found it frustrating to figure out if the range mobs where hitting me, or the melee dps next to me. Not a show stopper, Just annoying. Threat still seems to be a little arbitrary atm. Especially when taking on large groups.
  20. I think, by design, the intent was to make the crafted gear BIS. Not sure where I read that.
  21. If Chuck Norris played this game, BioWare would have the repair bills.
  22. I kinda like this idea. I played a Bounty Hunter in SWG. Some things from the SWG system to note: 1. You place a bounty as a result of a PvP death. If you don't want to get a bounty on you, don't PvP. 2. You are limited to the amount of bounty you can place. However, your contribution is added to the total bounty. One person placing a bounty on another player is not very interesting to a Bounty Hunter. The bounty would have to grow to a size worth the time investment to find the target. Very large bounties typically indicate a VERY experienced PvPer. As a Bounty Hunter, you better have your game together if your going after one of these.
  23. Very interesting discussion. I have not reached end game content yet so I have not had this problem. Is that 70k repair based on one(1) death? Or after several attempts at a boss? If it is after one(1) death, It would seem a little high to me. It would make multiple attempts in one night somewhat prohibitive for alot of players. If it's after several deaths, I think 1 hour of dailies seems to be a fair trade.
  24. Sigh, this is posted in the "Suggestion" forum. Not the "How do I?" forum. If you just got your first companion you would not know this info until AFTER you select a skill. You completely missed the point of the post.
