  1. I agree. I have played Wow, GW2, and Rift and the development cycle on this game is horrid. However, its StarWars so Bioware knows they have a great IP. If it wasn't, I am sure this game would be less populated than Rift.
  2. Yeah that is my only reason for optimism right now. Thanks guys!
  3. Yeah thats what I was thinking. Very disheartening hence the reason why I was hoping for yellow post. So I guess the PVE and PVP community get the short end of the stick. I feel really bad for the PvPers though they have not had an updated in what 6 months? The earliest they will see one is possibly July or August. Sad.
  4. Okay I did not know. Hopefully, there is something. Thanks!
  5. That is really unfortunate. I have no problem with a business trying to maximze profits. However, the release of new content should keep players "active" for longer periods of time. This should increase the base of purchases from the cartel market whether it be unlocks/ customization/ cartel packs.
  6. I have gone through the community round-up and I have found absolutely no mention of anything for game "update" 2.1 that does not have to do with the cartel market driven kiosk and cathar. Are there any flashpoints or warzones that are to be released during this time? Is there any content of significance that does not have to do with cartel coins ( I know about the artifice addition )? I am frustrated because 2.1 seems solely geared towards the cartel market. Now we have to wait until mid or late summer for 2.2 which may or may not add PVE or PVP upgrades? I would just like to say that I know nothing about the design/ development process concerning games. However, is it really that difficult to release 1-3 new flashpoints? It has been over a year since any new flashpoints were added. Some may consider the four new hardmode flashpoints "new" but I am referring to a release of something like Kaon or Lost Island. I know there is something in development from darthhater with a datamine but if memory serves me correct this has been in the game files for months. I do not know if the Quality Team is coddling content too much or if this system is just too complex. Not to leave out PvP but how difficult would it be to redesign the Rancor Pit in KP and have that serve as a basis for arena teams? Sorry to everyone for a little rant but I just feel that there should be something besides Quality of Life changes the majority of which has to do with the cartel market.
  7. Although I appreciate the response from Mr. Musco, I am not entirely content with the fact that 2.1 seems like a massive Cartel Market upgrade. I am not in the same boat as some that do not consider this content. It is content. The issue that worries me is 2.1 could be about 3-5 weeks away? With the lack of listed content that does not have to do specifically with Cartel Coins, it seems that SWTOR is about 9-13 weeks away from another major update (flashpoints, ops, WZs, RWZ restructure, etc). I understand that the patch notes are not out yet (to my knowledge). I just hope that I do not have to wait until July or August (maybe September?) for something that doesn't have to do with the Cartel Market.
  8. According to DarthHater, the Cathar will be a Cartel Coin purchase. Since F2P, that is what the reps from Bioware have said. However, the customization "barbershop" will be purchased via in game credits not cartel coins. I am sure that everyone will still cry but the fact of the matter is that Bioware does not make this product for you. If they are making the bulk of their cash via the Cartel Market they have to keep that fresh. Personally, I want to know why the QA process of Bioware has the perception of taking too long. For instance, could we not have an 2v2, 3v3, or 5v5 that is based on a reskinned version of the Rancor Pit in KP? How difficult is it to create another huttball map. I understand that FPs, and Ops may take some time due to the development process. It just seems that the team needs to be a little bit more effective on release times of content.
  9. Wow! I am in love with this pack. I may have to treat myself to the $60 24 pack. I want those crystals, I want some of the armor, the speeder, etc. I understand that there will be comments that this gear should be obtainable in game but since the business strategy is no longer pure sub-based, great job bioware!
  10. I would just like to say that my knowledge of computer programming, game design, and engine integration is non-existent. However, I do not understand why SWTOR does not replace bolster with a type of GW2 SPVP system for 10-54 PVP. For those of you who have not played GW2, the structured pvp brings a character to max level with set gear (automatically added once you enter). Would this system work for SWTOR? At level 55, it can be discontinued and a new tier of recruit gear could be given. I know that any change to the status quo will have unintended consequence but just a thought.
  11. The solution of releasing content at a break neck pace is not feasible. First BW shot themselves in the foot with the voice acting due to cost ( I don't know why the don't steal a few theater majors away from college on an intership at little cost ). Second BW seems to test their products in this game entirely too long. Third yoir solution does not work in the f2p setting. The million subs that left are likely gone for good. BW has to keep the cartel market fresh so the game can exist.
  12. I appreciate your opinion. It is unfortunate that the best looking items are initially available via the cartel market. This is what happens when you have f2p. However, the gtn does have these items which lessens the blow. I am curious to know how you would change their business model and maintain profit margins?
  13. Actually there is no information online. The "new" flashpoints are hard modes. My apologies for not being concise in my question. I was curious if any NEW flashpoints would be released in ROTHC for those characters leveling from 50-55. Can anyone provide any insight?
  14. I apologize if this has already been asked/ answered. Does anyone know if there will be any new flashpoints when 2.0 is released? A level 51-55? V/r NeoIshamael
  15. Has bioware released ftp and 1.5 to the pts? Yes they have. Without anything constructive to add, maybe you should concentrate your efforts to other matters.
  16. Thank you. A couple of weeks ago I wrote a rather depressing post on the state of the game after 1.4 was released. When you released 1.5, high population servers, ftp ( I will still sub ) I had that magic or excitement come back to the game for me. I think this game is starting to fill in the gaps ( the upcoming holiday event that is rumored for example ). The game is not there yet but you are past the low point I think. Are there still issues? Of course there are but I have a renewed confidence of these issues being resolved.
