    The mistake a lot of people make is that they don't get plasma brand when they go vigilence tree.

     

    Yes most of the damage is DoT, however it is nice in fact that it ignores shields and bypasses typical damage reduction.

     

    Throw in Overhead slash or Blade storm elemental damage and you have multiple DoTs going all at the same time.

     

    That's why I said Vigilence isn't as gear dependent (cept you have to watch how much damage you take).

     

    You generate very little threat, so what? As a dps, having the critter completely ignore you while you are calmly hacking away is a good thing.

     

    When you use shien, you can just spam your most powerful attacks over and over.

     

    Force Sweep is a focus generator.

     

    You can maintain a steady stream of your powerful attacks. You don't really have to worry about surge stats cause you're supposed to do a more steady stream of attacks, one after the other, you aren't dependent on getting criticals all the time.

     

    I think the Blade Storm and Overhead slash ticks could be a little stronger. Seriously they tick for about 50-90 damage. It should have been maybe 200 Elemental damage every 1 second for 6 seconds. even if it was just 100, anything would be better than 200 damage over 6 seconds. They feel like something the devs threw in so there would be as many talent options as the other 2 trees

    I don't think Vigilence is quite as dependent as Focus when it comes to gear spec in the damage department. Which is good cause you have to pay a lot of attention to survivability.

     

    Yeah, I just added a little edit to my Original post. I say its gear dependent because thats all I have ever had to really deal with. If I can be good with the class thats already half the battle. now comes the gearing up so you can really break someone in half.

    As I said in another thread about kicking people who are trying to gear up....

Your not helping them gear up, your making it more certain that they leave the game because they are getting kicked for not having the gear they can't get BECAUSE they are getting kicked.

     

    But like the other guy said, with Ranked WZ's they will probably be increasing 4-man to 8-man premades, so you won't have to worry about the guy who is trying to gear up."

    It certainly does mean they are a waste of space. If I drop a sorc in 4 hits when they have bubble up they are helping no-one but the other team. What they did wrong was not gear up to a respectable degree before joining the warzone.

     

    It'd be like that same guy expecting to go on a hard mode eternity vault raid with green gear. They'd laugh his *** out.

    Gladoss, titdiscus, Leoran: What do you plan to against Warzones’ AFK, more particularly about players who leave Warzones ? Will there be sanctions for this type of behavior?

     

    Gabe Amatangelo: "It is not sanctioned behavior. In Game Update 1.2 we will be making changes to the Warzone rewards system, which will de-incentivize this type of behavior. This will include the removal of the interim bag/quest system, the introduction of the direct purchase of gear from Warzone and Ranked Warzone commendations, 14 new objective-based medals and participation scaling the rewards. Additionally, players will have the option to vote kick idlers. Kicked players will not be able to re-queue for several minutes."

     

     

    So what he is saying we will finally be able to buy the gear with our Warzone, and future Ranked Warzone comms and not have to pray to the RNG gods? Sweet jebus, yessss!!!

    There seems to be an unusually high number of people crawling from the Shadows to announce how little they care for anything other then their self-satisfaction, cheating, AFKing, exploiting, leave WZ games.... le /sigh...... all I can do is pray that this game gets better so people actually want to win a game

    I never said anything about Serious PvP'ers or "Hardcore" (like there is such a thing in a game.) I meant people in general. Sure, on a game rep means nothing, along with integrity and doing the right thing. But everything I said about leaving previously is an opinion and should be treated as one.

     

    I hope to become well-known and well liked on my server, and have strong rivals on my enemy faction. In other words to know people. Like I said Nothing will ever stop people from leaving, but nothing will ever stop people from coming in and helping to turn a game around either. :)

    There will always be quitters, whether there is a penalty or not. However, people will know who the quitters are, and if seen in a warzone, they will not be aided in anyway. At least thats how it is on my server.

     

    Funny thing is, people quit a game, then we end up winning at the end. And then I /w saying why did you leave, we won that game. lol. It happens more often than naught.

    Gw2 seems like it will be Awesome. There will be Casual and hardcore Aspects (I.e the Quickplay option that puts you into a match with the appropriate skills, weapons, gear and level, something you can jump right into) and there will be GvG tournaments and stuff like that. And everyone will be responsible for their own saftey and everyone will be able to heal themselves.

     

    Don't get me Wrong, I play what I like. I like SWTOR PvP, but I also play and love WoW PvP, and RIFT PvP. And I will probably enjoy Gw2 PvP. You people who zealously promote and defend a game to the death...... I'll never understand this "There can only be one" attitude you have

    To Shadow Strike or not?

    Hello. I am playing an Infiltrate Shadow. In most case, I will open with Shadow Strike(I'm leveling so I don't have anything else), and I will get an Infiltration tactics Proc. I'm wondering if its better to SS, then do it again if the Infiltration tactics Procs, or just let my Force Regenerate, or... Something XD. Any help is appreciated :)

    Waaaah, I wish I could find the right class for me.... I've tried everything but it seems like I'm just kidding myself... anyone else ever had a hard time finding the class that was Mr./Mrs. Right?
