This is something I have wondered about for a long time. Sure there are guilds who are casual, but sometimes people want more than that. people may want to try higher difficulties of PvE mainly, but with the way some people are, its impossible to do hardmodes for fun. So I Wonder if the only people who should play MMO's are people who strive to be competitive, as opposed to be who play games for the reason games were invented. You know, to have fun? Sorry if the point I am trying to get across is poorly worded. As some people say, gaming should never be un-fun unless the game is just really awful. If the game is fun, but playing it feels more like a job at home, then should players who play to just have fun stick to single player games? Or something where they are less inclined to encounter people who treat the game as life or death?

He said for 1.2 but it may not be for Phase one or the Pre-Season of Ranked WZ. Pre-season may have double 4-man premade against double 4-man premade.

In the Guild Summit interview with Gabe, a GL asked whether guilds will be able to challenge other guilds to a 8v8 WZ match. Being able to pick any WZ and duke it out. Gabe says this is a possibility in the future, but it won't make it for 1.2. God Please I hope they do decide to implement Guild Vs. Guild....

Also it seems that they will be reworking the DR on Expertise, which means maybe no more PvE/PvP gear mixing

Gabe just stated in the Guild summit that 8-man for Ranked WZ, and persisting groups (groups that last through WZ) will be coming. which means no reforming! :DDD

You have a point, but gear will play a bigger part than you realize. If they do Arena, and believe me I want them to, it shouldn't be the only way to get BiS. To be honest Arenas with a gear progression, ANY mmo with gear progression in PvP it will always be 50% Gear, 30% comp, 20% skill.

Its a matter of Playstyle. Also rage is so brain-dead easy to play, but their damage can also be just as easily negated by pretty much any class who has half a brain. I easily stomp Rage juggs all the time.

I guess all these people against Arena won't be going to GW2, because I'm sure they will have them, if only arena being ONE of the many PvP options....

They will be increasing the AFK lock out to 90s. So I hope your wait times don't take too long to get into a battle mid-fight, because thats all you will get

People who are for and against have reached an impasse that cannot be breached. Some will like X-Server, some won't however some servers have low pop so that it becomes a PITA to Queue up. And to the person saying only bads want WZ, you couldn't be anymore stupid. As one person said, finding new blood to fight against is a positive of X-Server. I personally know some really good players from other server I have been itching to fight, so I hope I am able to meet them in a WZ without rerolling on their servers. X-Servers are coming, in Phase 2 of 1.2 Phase one will be a Pre-season for Ranked WZ (I.e testing it out same server). Then they will implement X-Server, BUT This will still have same server priority. I have great Queue times on my server but I am still looking forward to fighting someone knew, and Avoiding the awful Frame rate of Alderaan at all cost.

I actually believe people who backpeddle do it to troll me. Its just really frustrating to play a scoundrel or Shadow that way lol.... well it used to. Now I just snare them, strafe around them and backpeddle their backpeddling while still pressing my abilities lol!

I hear some Asian F2P MMO's need you to walk to the instance, and there always people outside the entrance. maybe you should try one of those games OP All jokes aside I welcome this change. I know several very good players from different server and it will be a relief to sharpen my skills against someone I haven't fought before.
