If it went by MVP votes than only a select few people would even get social points, which than you would have people complaining about the unfairness of this system. Since you said you don't PvP yourself, we can take from that, that you have no experience in this matter. Your words carry no weight. Which means your opinion on this matter means absolutely nothing. My sole experience does not speak for everyone, but I personally, have never seen or heard of people smack talking in Ops or Flashpoints.... The people I play with, act professionally and are too busy focusing on completing the Ops or FP to care about insulting people in chat... It's demoralizing and a gkickable offence in the guild I am help run. I guess maybe you play with people of a lesser caliber. Which also would explain why you feel entitled to hand-outs like Social in PvP. Wait what? Showing up to the Voidstar does not count as a Social screen. And being the only PvP screen to space bar through does not compare to the thousands of quest and FPs that PvE has. I'm not against making Social easier, but PvP is not the answer. PvP is not social. It's players VS players. There is no dialog, no social options to choose and is just PvPers being lazy.

Fixed group? I guess if doing dailys with your friends is considered fixed... I'm sure you never do things with your guild mates. I guess doing 16 man Raids is also anti-social, or doing Nightmare Pilgrim is also anti-social. So from what options are left, you'd preffer I picked up 3 random people and hope that they know what the hell they're doing? There's a reason people don't like to pug Flashpoints or even heroic dailys. If you're mad because I have friends that's fine, but don't come here and bash me because of it. I'm not gaining any advantage by having friends. Guess what? I had to make friends to get those 3 people to do dailys with for months and months, that's how this game works. You find like-minded people and you do things with them, like dailys... world bosses... flashpoints... operations... and even PvP. So explain to me how this is just as anti-social as farming BT normal over and over?

Doing dailys on Belsavis / Ilum for the past 3 months with the same 4 people = Social X. Has nothing to do with BT.

My comment was intended to show that I do PvP, which makes what I say hold more weight than not. My post about my achievements show that I am not just blowing smoke out my rear. Since I have been able to do all of these things without having Social points being awarded in PvP, my comments are indeed, not worthless. Kind of a, if I can do this why can't you?

The same could be said about Valor outside of PvP. I kill someone on the PvE side of Ilum but I don't get Valor for it.

That's nice you have your own opinions, also nice you fail to see my points. PvP isn't socializing, it's that simple. You aren't talking to anyone, you're fighting. Let's try out a hypothesis for a second here: You go in with 7 other people and do PvP. You get 4 MVP votes, which grants you lets say 4 social points. Everyone else gets screwed cause they don't get MVP votes? Lets say for arguements sake you get 1 automatically for participating. So you get 5 points now. Say you do 20 matches a day, that's more Social points than some people get because they don't do FPs or Dailys. So you want to reward people social points for PvP and take away some of the incintive of doing quest with other players. "Why quest with someone for social when I can just PvP all day." This logic is flawed. In many many areas.

How is it social? You aren't interacting with anyone except the enemy, you're not stopping to talk to anyone. Coordination of your team isn't an interaction. It's called team work. You don't get social points from Raids for team work. I think it's YOU who fails to miss the point of social points. Stop being lazy. Do more than just PvP.

This is straight from the Social Points codex: "When you adventure with other players, you earn social points. Social points are earned primarily by talking to NPCs while in a group with other players. You will earn points faster by being in larger groups and by winning rolls in conversations. However, any social points you accrue will not actually be awarded to you until you turn in the mission." It's encouragement to do quest and FPs. Than why don't I get Valor points for doing Social, can't have one without the other. When you kill someone in PvP it should bring up a social option that allows you to spare them, kill them or whatever. That way you can get Light / Dark points too!!

Losing more subs is worst, and that's what they're going to get if they don't do something. Everyone going to Fatman and have 122 unpopulated servers would be worst.

This discussion is stupid, why not have PvP give Unicorn points to be spent on buying Elite Warlord gear? And the Nightmare Pilgrim was supposed to be stupid, it's called sarcasm. PvP and PvE are two different aspects of the game, stop confusing the two. PvP grants valor, PvE grants Social.

So by that logic, since you have 9 characters their valor should all be 100 because you don't want to focus on one? It's your choice not to level Social to X on one character. Fine, Social X on one character applies to all your others, which is just lazy but what-ever. But all your alts getting their social compounded because people are lazy and can't get Social X like those of us who already have it is just pure laziness. It's an MMO, sure there aren't a crap ton of people playing atm, but even doing quest with a 2nd person grants more than doing it solo. I've said it now in 2 other threads.. PvP granting Social is about the dumbest idea I have ever heard. People are lazy and don't want to group up for Daily quest, quest in general or FPs so they want hand outs from PvP. PvP and PvE are two different aspects of the game. PvE awards Social points, PvP awards Valor points. Don't confuse the two.
