  1. Character: Koltokat Server: Star Forge I hit level 75 last night had progressed roughly half way through the normal class story and leveled from about 55 to 75 in flashpoints. This morning I sent out my max 8 out on missions and then decided I wanted to skip to the Ossus storyline and immediatley after I went to the terminal in Odessen and returned all my class companions including ones I had not found prior. Now when I go to my crew skill window to do missions I get the message that I have the max deployed companions when I only have 4 companions deployed and attempt to deploy the fifth. I've scrolled through the list and yes I only have 4 deployed but should be able to deploy 8. I also sent a crew member on a mission and had them return normally thinking it might reset that way which it didnt. Any ideas on how to fix this bug?
  2. I don't think 15$ a month is too much and I am completely happy with the speed at which Bioware has been putting out content. As someone who has been playing MMORPGs for over a decade they are on par if not exceeding my expectations from past games I have played. Lets look at some math... They spent over 200 million dollars to develop the initial game. Assuming 2 million copies sold at launch at 50$ a pop thats only 100$ million dollars in revenue from the discs. So their still 100 million dollars in the hole. Assuming that 1.5 million subscribers remains constant from launch your revenue per month is 22.5 million dollars. You got a free month with the box and you also got a free month from them in like March. So 4 months at 22.5 million dollars = 90 million dollars revenue. That leaves 10 million still in the hole. Assuming only 40 developers at 30$ an hour (avg entry level salary) their overhead on the development team is 240,000$ a month. That's just the development team. 6 months @ 240k = 1.44m dollars So they are still 8.5 million dollars in the hole at least. This doesn't take into account 3D modelers, network engineering, servers, electricity, bandwidth, advertising promotions, customer service, and the rent on the building they work in. I think it's conservative to say they won't break even for another 6 months to a year even with us all paying 15$ a month. I also think it's realistic to say that the investors who foot the 200m dollar bill initially are expecting some sort of return on their investment.
  3. I really think Bioware is missing the boat on easy money with paid transfers. I know myself, my wife and a handful of other friends rerolled characters on a higher population server with the plan of being able to transfer my characters to that specific server. But no they decided to choose not only which servers were sources but also destinations. We created our Rerolls on Jedi Covenant - a server that even before the transfers flourished but had many servers opened to it as the destination but sadly not my home server Grand Master Zym which was transfered to Shadowlands. We'd glady pay 10, 15, maybe even 20 dollars to transfer our characters off Jedi Covenant to Shadowlands with the rest of our other characters. Paid transfers should of been offered day 1 w/ the free transfers offered to as well to direct migration to certain servers.
  4. To say a tank of any class is worthless in pvp is rediculous. A good tank can all but make your teams healers and ball carriers unkillable. As far as taunts reducing healing dealt - it makes no sense at all. The only reason healers are so hard to kill is no one interrupts them and no one focuses them down. Don't call for game breaking nerfs to a role when it's your teams stupidity that is causing the problem. Since 1.2 healers are overly easy to kill by any class with any amount of expertise who interrupts the healer even half the time.
  5. I enjoy the level caps being raised and I like the fact that it generally makes the gear acquired from the last expansions end game irrelevant once you level to the new cap. It's a natural opportunity to change mains, and get new players into existing teams and start on a level footing gear wise.
  6. /signed There is no reason you shouldn't be able to que for anything that has a "queue" on any character within your legacy.

    No Medals

So when you say on guard you mean on defense. You earn defender points based on how long you stand near a node you control. Unless you came in on the end of a match and were only there for a very short time you should have gotten a defensive medal for this. That said I PVP alot both offensively and defensively and I'd have to try to not get a medal in a normal match - theyw ay they currently work you practically get handed a metal for quein. It's possible that you didnt get defensive credit standing on the node, but I am pretty sure I've gotten credit doing that same thing.
  8. One of the problems which I run into constantly on my server are matches which begin with 5-7 players against a full team on the other side. In may cases this can go on for three or four minutes. Rarely by the time we fill our team is the score close enough that the match is realistically winnable by the team which started with an incomplete team. I know that the hope is that the cross server queues will fix this but the reality is there will always be the chance that a match starts with incomplete teams. A few ideas I have for battling this and making the war zone fair. 1) Only allow as many players onto the battle field as your opposing team has in the war zone at the present time. Think of this like a penalty box in hockey where you sit in "que" to get back into the warzone until someone else on your team dies. 2) Implement a buff for the team which is down players. Essentially provide an expertise boost equivelent to the percentage of players they are down to the other team. So if one team is full and the other is down a player that team gets a 12.5% expertise boost until their 8th player enters the warzone. 3) Implement a Debuff for the team which is up players. Essentially the opposite of the above. Other team is down 1 player your team plays with a 12.5% expertise debuff. 4) Reduce the 2 minute count down at the beginning of the match to 1 minute and don't start the count down until both teams have 8 players. 5) Modify the objectives to compensate. In huttball increase the speed debuff on the ball and reduce the radius for throwing the ball. In Voidstar increase the time it takes to turn a door and disarm a bomb. In Civil War and Denova increase the length of time it takes to flip a node.
  9. A 1 in 5 chance of doing something still only results in a 67% chance that you will have a success in 1 of the 5 attempts. Just because you have a 1 in 5 chance does not mean you will succeed 1 in 5 times. It means each and every time you try you have that very same 20% chance. It is possible yet improbable that you'd actually never proc a schematic if your just that unlucky. RNG sucks but it works like this in EVERY game out there.
  10. You might as well just leave now - its common sense that you will not be able to do a free character transfer to the highest population US server. They want you off that server not on it.
  11. Happens occasionally to my wife and I usually after very long play periods. Easily resolved by restarting the client. No idea what causes it.
  12. It's pretty simple. Your legacy level simply unlocks the access to certain benefits that anyone in your legacy has the opportunity to benefit from. In this instance that opportunity is that for X credits on that character you can choose to gain more experience from Player vs Player. It's meant beyond the spiffy benefit to be a credit sink and in that regard it's working as intended.
  13. I disagree with your sentiment. If you spend your credits on nothing but repairs and skills then you have more than enough money left over to do things. Everything else is a luxury. It's your choice as a player which luxuries you plan to lavish in and when and how much. A failure to live within one's means is not a balance issue its a player issue. New players should not be buying gear on the auction house in any game. It's a known fact that you out level the gear and will never get the benefit you are paying out of it while leveling. If you have the credits to blow then by all means blow them but you can't blow them then complain you dont have them.
  14. I'll be surprised if they don't phase out Valor now that it isn't used for anything really. The only gear with a valor requirement is the new craft able shells. Those will be obsolete when you can add your own augment slots in 1.3.
