  1. Yeah. I get 60 fps constant with strobe light affect stuttering with vsync on, shader very low (bloom/conversion off), AA off, shadows off, rest maxed. I get 111 fps constant with strobe light affect stuttering with vsync off, shader very low or plain low doesnt make a differance, AA off, shadows off, rest maxed. I get tops 30 fps with everything on and maxed. Severe stuttering, severe fps dips, severe graphics lag... the graphics get so choppy i can't really even tell if there is screen tearing but since vsync is on I would probrably guess no screen tearing.
  2. The stuttering I am talking about is the fps stays at 60/111 with vsync on/off respectively but the screen kinda skips around with a sort of strobe light affect.
  3. Ok I have done some more research and the real issue besides the fps should be better is "stuttering." That is what I am really trying to fix. Anyone seen a fix for stuttering for multiple cores? I read it might be a hyperthreading issue because the game engine is not optimized to run on multiple cores (That is what I read).
  4. Intel Core i7 2600 @ 3.4 GHZ. AMD Radeon 6970M 2 GB VRAM (Thats correct, Two gigs of video ram). 16gb Ram. WIndows 7 (64 bit). Resolution 2560 x 1440. I can hit 60 fps with vsync on, shader low, shadows off, AA off, and rest maxed. What I can not figure out is why I can not have graphics to the max and be smooth. RIght now the graphics is ridged, laggy, and severely lacking considering my system specs. Is there something I am doing wrong? If VSYNC is off the fps hovers at 111. I have read many forum posts but this one is unique in that I am using a higher end system and still seeing issues. I did put the swtor program on compatibility mode with Windows XP (Service Pack 3). It is not a latency issue, the cable goes directly from the Modem to my PC without splitters and I use a Motorola Surfboard SB6120. Nor is it a heat issue even after hours of gameplay. CPU usage ranges from 8-15%. Memory usage is 3.8 GB (24%). Hopefully a tech genius will see this and explain what is going on. Thank you!
  5. Imagine going on a spacemisson and the friend onboard gets to watch you fight through the windows up front. 1. Easy path for BW to implement is require them to sit in one of the front seats to watch or in one of the seats in the lounge room if they get "motion sickness." 2. The full package path which would take extra effort to implement is allow them to walk around and see through the windows during space combat and see explosions and effects inside the ship when you take damage. And if they are not buckeled into a seat, they should fall over when the ship takes damage (explosions) to add some realism. The next idea for option 2 is if people can walk around, it would make sense for all the crew members to be seated with a seatbelt in the lounge area. As it stands the friend is onboard and they see a ship not moving while the pilot is off having a blast (pun?). I think that friend should be able to join in on the fun and get to see how well the pilot can fly. It would also show people what it would look like for the actual people inside the ship during combat which IMO would be awesome! *Edit* Just thought of an extra perk of this suggestion. 1. Social points, which would add incentive to do spacemissons with friends.
  6. Much respect OP. Well said.
  7. Thats basically what runescape did... only better.
  8. Hello, I have a mid 2011 Imac running on bootcamp, Windows 7 (64 bit), core i7 2600 @ 3.4 GHz, 16gigs ram, AMD Radeon HD 6970M with 2gs VRAM. Why am I getting 30-40 fps no matter the settings? Doesn't matter if high/very low, bloom, shadows, vsync, aa, etc. I updated the amd drivers, ran windows update, disk cleaner, disk defrag, tried all the wierd ingame setups people think works.. still.. 30-40 fps, no matter if in pvp, at the fleet or just running around some low populated planet. Under task manager > Performance > my memory is at 4.15 GB out of 16 GB, CPU Usage is at 9-15% (ATM, im on the fleet if that matters). I tried to post as much info but for all the tech savvy people, I will post a dxdiag below. Really appreciate all your help!!
  9. Lol... Close this thread. Seriously. We already have a sticky explaining what maintenance is and does and why we have them. Go read the offical post.
  10. Yeah pvp on Jung ma was ah... well... rather one sided. I'll just put it that way... Luckily I am on the winning side.
  11. Because people who are enjoying the game are doing just that... enjoying the game. The people on the forums are a very small minority, and of those the "loudest' are the ones who repeat their same message over and over till they get their way. Perhaps a generalization, but I suspect that most complainers have not played many MMO's because most of the qq I have seen is related to very minor flaws or non-existent flaws they "believe" are occuring. I agree with you, this game is awesome! People just like to complain I guess, and now they have a place where their opinion can be heard.
  12. I think it would be great if the vendor lasts after the event. It would be awesome if the people who earned the Containment Officer Title would get access to a vendor for the gearset... say for those who have jobs/family/irl responsibilities/etc that caused them to miss some of the dailies and giving them a chance to get the full set. They could still work for the gear set by making each gear piece cost a million credits or something; so people who made it to the dailies won't feel jipped. Thank you. Btw, great job on event BW! It was loads of fun! Make more in the future please!
