  1. 1) Video 1 shows nothing. I can pull crap like that and remain unkillable on my Sorc in a premade too. Same with my Juggernaut, Operative and Mercenary... 2) Video 2 is 100% fake. The Sorc does nothing while that Operative will have double stacked Adrenals and popped Relics. Again I can pull off some ridiculously high crits on my Sorc once every 90 seconds but this video proves nothing. That sorc didn't even bother to use any defensive CDs, Relics and Adrenals alone. He should have expected an Operative to pop from stealth and prepared for it.
  2. I was once hit for 16k... ...by being pulled into the middle of a group and hit for 4k by 4 people
  3. This is why server only PvP is great. You can develop a name of yourself and become feared and/or respected by the other side. Cross server PvP will destroy this like in WoW and Rift where nobody cares if you're in a big PvP guild.
  4. Blitzing through low level FPs is always fun for letting off steam.
  5. Care to elaborate? Unlike WAR you can't break pulls by hitting your CC breaker mid-pull.
  6. Warhammer Online showed exactly why pulls are the most OP ability you can ever put in a PvP situation. Being able to single out a key member of the other party and pull them into the middle of your own party where they inevitably get instagibbed is nothing short of game breaking. Pulls are for PvE and should only be allowed in PvE. However, leaps should still be allowed for melee classes as a gap closer. Though this can also be solved by giving all melee classes a sprint ability for PvP.
  7. Like what happened with Warhammer Online, Rift and World of Warcraft?
  8. You're forgetting one thing: the people on this forum will look for anything to whine about
  9. People will then start complaining about the Lv40-49 players...
  10. Wait, people grouping together in a multiplayer game is a problem? le gasp! Soloing them is you problem. If you join a Warzone solo then you have to fully accept the fact that there are other people out there capable of making friends and wanting to play with them.
  11. The point I was trying to make is if I run in PvP Solo, I'm fully prepared for the fact that I will get myself curb stomped by premades. I'm fairly sure that the solo players who don't complain do admit that they'd expect to lose most PUG vs Premade games. And you will be shocked at how effective a premade is at any skill level. It gives you a level of organisation and coordination that gives a massive advantage over a bunch of people playing solo and only caring about their scoreboard stats. Even two people working together vs a bunch of PUGs makes a huge difference. There IS a reason why you see people winning 2v5 fights and it's not gear or class imbalance. I do apologise if I sounds hostile or elitist but I'm getting tired of people with the following attitudes and have little but contempt for them: "If I play solo everyone else has to play solo too so I don't have to face any premades" and as I said earlier: "L2P if you lose to me but if you beat me you're OP"
  12. The majority of the players who complain about losing all the time are exactly the type that runs solo and expects to win everything when it's a group game. It's not the fault of the premades that some people can't be bothered to make a group in a group game.
  13. The Lv20 PvP gear looks great and very similar to the Saber Marshall's set. Shame that only the chest and legs are moddable though.
  14. Might as well add this: Know what I do if I'm getting hammered in PvP and I'm starting to get frustrated? I stop PvPing and do something else. Dailies, Flashpoints, Space Missions, Roleplaying, helping friends out. It lets me calm down, cool my head and remember why I play a video game: For fun.
  15. Sounds fun. I do like to PvP on my Republic alts but my online friends wanted to go Empire so I followed them. Empire on my side is fun as they are definitely more organised than Republic. But now more Republic players are hitting 50, PvP is really evenly matched on my server. During prime time, Empire on The Progenitor EU has roughly a 60-40 win ration but that is slowly being pushed more to 55-45. Hopefully the whiners will put their money where their mouth is and leave when their 30 days are up. It might make reading the forums a bit more tolerable.
  16. I have work and a family to take care of and I still manage to form a premade every evening using my friendlist and the people I chat to in the Empire RP channel on my server alone. It's called making friends ingame. An MMO is a social game, making friends is part of it. If you can't treat people well enough for them to want to group with you to do PvP than that is your problem. You also must have horrible time management skills. I have this huge gap in my evening from 1800 to 0000 after I get back home. Assuming an hour is used up for dinner that is still 5 hours to play the game in the evening. Even taking out a few hours a night to spend with my family and friends I can easily make 2-3 hours to play the game each weeknight, longer if my family doesn't mind me sitting on the computer all evening (which is rare). Heck, I even have time to play for an hour or two before work if I wake up early. Then again if you lack the organisational abilities and social skills to form a premade I think I can see where your problem is...
  17. I'm a Sorc healer and befriended a good Powertech Tank early on. PvP is a lot of fun with simply that duo. I also know a good DPS Sorc and Marauder so we have a VERY powerful premade right there if we are all on. Most peoples problems with PvP are because they go solo which is pointless. I will ask one question: "Would you raid solo?" If you answered "No" then I have one more: "Then why would you do group PvP solo? You wouldn't charge a raid boss alone so why fight premades alone?"
  18. I can sum up the attitude of the vocal minority of the PvP board in one sentence: "L2P if you lose to me but if you beat me you're OP!" The rest of us are having too much fun with PvP to post.
  19. The game does need one badly. I've spent 3 days trying to do the FP for my main's level range as a Healer. I've tried advertising in trade, the planet the FP's range is at, Fleet, the Flashpoint custom channel and nothing. DPS and Tank alts I get near instant invites but as a healer I can be waiting for days for an invite. It's like FFXI all over again (which by the way is 10 years old and has a far superior LFG system than a modern day MMO) You know how I finally got that FP done? Got 3 bored Lv50 friends I roleplay with to "help" by facerolling the sodding thing. I suppose that this is the "social experience" that Bioware wants up to experience. I mean, anything to avoid being like WoW right even though half of the classes are directly ripped from it? \o/
  20. Sorcs and Sages can only pull their own party members.
  21. You can solo Esseles/Black Talon by Level 14 as a Consular/Inquisitor though you will need to buy a bunch of medipacks if you aren't a Biochem. If you can't find a group then you should be able to run through it by then.
  22. You do realise that Operative/Scoundrel gets that burst from stim stacking something that everyone else can do right? And it's also getting nerfed so that PvE and PvP consumables have shared cooldowns. If I spec Lightning on my Sorc and stack stims I can put out some crazy burst once every 2 minutes as well. Or if I go Corruption and stack stims I basically turn into a "Tank Healer". It's the same with other characters too. My Juggernaught is pretty much unkillable with stim stacking and double medipacking. Also remember that they have no way to answer to ranged attacks other than to run away or vanish. They are ridiculously easy to kite as they only have two ranged attacks usable on the move, one having a CD. The easiest way to deal with an OP/SC is to simply CC or knockback them and start kiting. If you aren't a ranged class then tell your party about the OP/SC. If you're playing solo in PvP then you're doing it wrong. Would you raid solo? No, why would you PvP solo too? Wait until after the stim nerf and you will see that OPP/Scoundrel is nothing to be afraid of. If you still can't deal with them after that then it's a L2P issue I'm afraid.
  23. Scoundrel/Operative literally have no way at all of defending themselves from ranged attacks and you can also kite them all day. Don't fight them in melee basically. If you're a melee class then DoT them so they can't Vanish, then CC them and have your group deal with them. If you're playing a Warfront solo and not in a group then you're doing it wrong. You wouldn't try to Raid solo so why would you PvP solo?
  24. @@ - Disagree due to the following: 1) SWTOR has server-only PvP Why is this better? It breeds a sense of realm pride and community. Guilds and individuals can make names for themselves like on Dark Age of Camelot and Warhammer Online. People will know the good PvPers and PvP guilds on their server, who to team up with, what guilds to ally with etc. It breeds a sense of realm pride because you become well known to both sides. If also stops people from greifing on Warfronts because names are known. Everyone learns the names and guilds of cheaters, exploiters, griefers and trolls and can punish them. 2) SWTOR is balanced for group vs group at the level cap This is important as it is where most PvP will eventually happen. WoW's problem is that it has to balance for 2v2, 2v2, 6v6, and Battlegrounds of multiple sizes. And it also has various brackets and supports twinking. WoW is impossible to balance. SWTOR does away with this by only having one bracket (soon to be two but it's the same principle) and makes it so all warfronts have the same party sizes, so the game only needs to be balanced for group v group at lv50
