  1. I am sorry if these questions have been asked but: I am deception specced with chain shock. What crit and surge % should we target? Should I focus on the % I see on character sheet for each stat or rather when I hover to see the breakdown of +%? Do you strip your Tioneses/Columni/Rakatta mods to add in Crit and Surge? I cringe every time I replace my Orange modded gear that has epics from the dailies and see the massive hit to crit and surge. Should I not worry about this? Is the increase in WP and Power more than making up for the loss in crit/surge? Should I be placing those epics acquired through dailies into my raiding gear? Thanks!
  2. I easily crit 3800+ regularly and i only have 3 pieces of raid gear and the rest epics of AH or orange gear modded with epics from dailies. I am specced Deception + chain shock.
  3. I heart this post fully agree and play that exact style of wait, interrupt and burst. Nothing feels better than interrupting one heal with jolt another with low slash and killing a healer who thought he was going to faceroll me.
  4. Cant you put all the mods from heavy gear into a social armor set netting the same results? I am a Sin so not sure.
  5. As you gain social rank you have access to more social gear. Social gear is normally Orange and moddable allowing you to go end-game for instance as a full equipped Sandperson or Imperial Trooper. There are also social items that are worth pursuing as well.
  6. Thanks for reading and answering my actual question!
  7. I understand about the moddable slots but I was inquiring about the base stats if all the mods are empty. I'm pretty sure a level 20 Orange piece has less armor than a level 49 Orange piece if both have all their slots empty. Is this true? Will a level 20 Orange piece with the same mods be exactly equal in stats to a level 49 Orange piece with the same mods?
  8. I see that Orange gear has a base Armor rating and item level. Does this mean if I drop in epic level 50+ mods, enhancements and armoring in a piece I obtained at level 20 it will have less armor than on orange piece I obtain at level 49? Thanks!
  9. Not true. Force Shroud, Deflection and Force Speed are your friends if you are talking about running the ball. You can even use Dark Charge with a Deception spec to assist in running the ball.
  10. Good tips. Here is an article on optimizing your SSD for everyone: http://thessdreview.com/ssd-guides/optimization-guides/the-ssd-optimization-guide-2/
  11. Yea I have an MSI P67A-GD65 and it has a button to push that will give you 4.5. That said, I wanted to push the limits so I went into the BIOS to get that extra .2. I was getting some core errors at first so I went to the MSI forums and got some advice and now I have been running without errors at 4.7 for 6+ months.
  12. Thanks, took some trial and error in the BIOS to get it stable and a **** load of fans.
  13. You're clearly lying and is just another attempt by you to bash this game. Enjoy your pandas dude.
  14. My load time is fairly quick (<15 secs for planets) and I use an Intel 510 series SSD. My Alt + Tab is instant as well. FYI: i52500K OC'ed to 4.7 MSI Twin Frozr GTX 570 OC'ed 8 GB DDR Ram
  15. I am currently specced with a traditional 2/31/8 build but have been thinking about modifying it for pvp. I came up with is build: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#200MZGGrMk0rMtzZcMc.1 My rationale is as follows: I like the pvp utility that I get by using points on Force Slow and Jolt/Unbreakable Will. I am not convinced that Saber Conduit is a worthwhile talent. Further I rarely find myself waiting for a full stack of Static Charges to get the full benefit of my Discharge. In addition, since I am speccing for the Chain Shock why not pick up the extra damage for Lighting discharge and forgo Surging Charge all together? I understand that I lose some burst damage as Lighting Discharge is a DOT but other than that is this not a superior PVP build? I am not a theorycrafter and have yet to test this but the build did come to my mind and wanted to get some opinions. Thanks!
  16. I am assumiong by the set bonus that it is indeed Stalker that is our set but why is only one pice of centurion gear come with +crit!? Can I mod that gear to add crit?
  17. What are the names of the pvp sets for Deception Assassins?
  18. Can someone share what the name of our pvp sets are? I know there are 3 tiers but I cannot find the name nor the stats of each. I did see Stalker set which I though was our PVP set but I did not see any +crit. Any info or links would be appreciated!
  19. As an Imperial I still find this quite troubling and think this needs to be fixed ASAP. I am also jealous as Im 44 right now and can't go to farm valor!!!! P.S. That lag looks pretty terrible as well. Sigh...
  20. Level 40(dinged last night)...went straight to bank and put on my level 40 pvp gear and purchased a nice purple offhand with sick crit and surge. Proceeded to run one warzone to test gear and my new Voltaic Slash. I was second in DPS in Huttball with 172K and 9 medals. I was gitty but had to go to bed and cannot wait for work to be over to continue dominating with my new gear and OP 31 point ability. VS is just awesome! VS,VS shock, electrocute, maul, Assassinate, DEAD! 4K crits at level 40 warmed my heart!
  21. Well I'm not quite sure as I am going Deception and purchased the Invigorating Attack set but I did want to chime in. You can only have a max of 1000 pvp commendations so you may want to spend them now at 40 since you are probably at or close to 1000 by now. I had my level 40 set sitting in my bank since 33 along with the nice blue belt, ear piece and implants you can get at 40. It really made a huge difference in pvp(combined with Voltaic Slash) on my first WZ after hitting 40.
  22. I just hit 40 so I do not have Overcharge yet but to me this looks like a pretty lackluster talent considering the cooldown and its effect on a fairly weak ability that at most can only proc every 1.5 secs. I am going Deception and all the guides I read have two talent points allocated to decreasing CD on Overcharge by 30 secs. What am I missing? Why are all the "pros" using 2 valuable points to buff what I think(could be wrong) is a very lackluster DPS increase. If I am wrong I would love to have it explained to me. Thanks in advance! P.S. I know that surging charge does internal damage and ignores armor so the base damage is higher than expected. Is that what accounts for the "usefulness" of buffing it with Overcharge?
  23. Im pretty sure you can have a space in your name but don't quote me on that. I know for a fact you could have: Luke'Skywalker The Binks Legacy Han'Solo The Binks Legacy etc. Further, as some one pointed out most MMO's don't have a surname at all so while this might not be your 100% perfect idea of how a legacy system should work it def moves MMO's towards your desired goal.
