Really seams hardly fair only 10 people online in the afternoon on Crevasse City it is such a low population server why wasn't it included in the free transfers?
Because the transfers aren't over yet. Wait your turn like the rest of us. And don't forget to breathe.

This is just a huge mess, I'm not resubscribing.
Moving to a server where all the names are taken by players who no longer play
Telling us that story is the important part of this game
Expecting us to have to change our story because we have to reinvent our characters
Being directed here so my feedback can get buried
If this process was important to Bioware there would have been similar consultation as there was at the guild summit. In the end it turned into a system that someone dreamed up on a Friday afternoon. I really hope this game fails, so it's a learning experience for all concerned and that MMO companies realize that if you treat customers like children, you get that type of feedback.
Unless of course, those people do still play and want to keep the names they've chosen.

Forgive me for not sorting through all 51 pages of this thread to see if it has been addressed or not, but I just posted this:
It appears so far that BW is transferring light servers to larger servers - but will they be doing this on all light servers? So far, my server isn't on the transfer list - and appears to one of the larger "light" loads, but light it is, and enough the GTN is a wasteland anymore - things used to go for twice the "suggested price" now go for less than the "suggested price". I'm not going to leave my guild, but I'm hoping eventually with the free transfers, we will be made either an origin server or a destination server.
and the thread got closed and I was referred to here. So is there any chance of getting any type of answer?
As of this point, the "assumption" is that they're transferring light to heavy until they are full, and then moving to the next heaviest server. But that's not been confirmed.

I wish they would post all the pairings whether I transfer today or some other day. I want to roll a new character, and it would be nice to create it on the server I will be transferring to. I feel stuck in limbo right now, because I don't really want to play on the old server either.
Those pairings may be subject to change a this point, which is why they won't do that.

I do not understand why they arent opening more tho. Transfers are taking not even 5 minutes to complete. I dont think people would mind waiting 10-15 mins if it means more servers get a chance to move.
Because if something goes wrong, the less they need to have to correct at once the better.

Why do they always do this. Instead of simply saying "Yes there will be more at some point today." they say things like this. This doesnt say anything about if there will be or not. Only they havent announced anything.
They have to leave some wiggle room in case there's a problem. If you looked at the patch notes from last night, they stopped doing transfers yesterday because they encountered a problem that they needed to fix before they continued. If all goes as planned, I expect they'll keep rolling it out the rest of the day, and throughout the week.

The Bastion as a destination seems kinda random?!?!
all the other NA destinations are right in line with the highest population servers, except The Bastion which is a light server

They're seriously only keeping one NA PvP East server (The Fatman)??
Maybe it's losing a lot of pop from people going back to their mains now?
Most likely it's the lowest of the low going into Fatman, and once it's full they'll go on to the 2nd highest server, then the 3rd, etc, until they're all full.

So what happened to the idea of helping those who needed the most? I've been sitting here watching the first 3 lists come and go with none of the bottom 5 servers. I am still stuck on the second worst server where we had a whomping 13 people on Republic and 22 on Empire. So we going to have to sit here another day? week? what? Because if it's any longer I am sure us and the server below us will probably be non existent but hey we will see if you truly care about your 15 dollars a month here.
On the bright side, it seems that your server imbalance problems aren't so bad compared to lots of other servers.
Also, you'll get your turn eventually, just like the rest of us on dead servers.

This process will be gradual and staged over time. Despite huge improvements being made to the Character Transfer Service by our server team, there are millions of characters to be moved and there is a limit to how many can be moved daily. We want your character to be transferred as quickly as possible, but we will need you to be patient as the process completes.
am i the only one worried about the *********** blatent lie by a dev about millions of ppl to move?
ps im not transfering, lucky im an aussie and got to move all my toons to the oceanic servers, hope they really do a good job moving every1 that needs moving to a high pop server as the game really is so much better with ppl to play with
He said Millions of characters. That includes alts. I have 8 characters. Lots of other people have multiple characters. I can easily see "millions" being correct if the game still has the 1.3 million subscriber base as of the last EA financial statements

so all this posturing for a massive 4 servers outa 150, and lets say 145 of them r dead, pathetic really
It's 15. 18 if you include Europe. They just haven't updated the main page.

They're probably going to have a small amount of destination servers, but they're transferring into them one origin server at a time in order to monitor the population.
Example: let's say there's 20 destination servers, but 100 origin servers. Ideally, you'd have 5 origin servers going into one destination server. But you want to monitor the traffic to see if maybe one server needs 6 and another needs four to get the best population balance.
Unfortunately, in order to do this properly, it requires time for the developers, and (god forbid) patience from the community.

I'm doing all 8 classes. I've got 3 Lv 50's at this point, a Gunslinger, Assassin and Operative. I currently have a Sentinel up to the mid 30's. All the other classes I have a character done through their starting planet.
I understand people complaining about seeing the non-class quests so many times they get boring. I've found that by alternating factions (Rep, Imp, Rep, Imp, etc) it feels quite a bit more fresh then if you play all of one faction and THEN switch sides to do the other four.
