  1. I'm very surprised there isn't a rule against self-promotion on these boards.
  2. Shantin Tunnels is fantastic. People are all very nice.
  3. All I'm saying people should be keeping this in mind when asking questions, rather than ask and complain about it later.
  4. They have ETA's for fixes and features they are working on (whether it's an accurate estimate or not is immaterial). You can't work in hightech without a project timeline, who does what and when. Why are they not sharing? Beside the obvious fan rage in case something gets delayed (this has been mentioned by Mr. Reid), 99% of all Bioware employees (and gaming industry employees in general) sign a non-disclosure agreement. For that reason alone, Mr. Reid is vague regarding many of the features that we might (or might not) see. Rest assured he didn't answer vaguely just to annoy you.
  5. I'm sorry, have you read the various threads on these boards at all? Half of them are about how crappy the game is by those "virgin boys" you described now that they reached level cap in less than a week, and the other half is about how guys should not be allowed to play female characters because the same kids use this game as 15$ a month dating service. After all, it is creepy and disturbing to hit on a female avatar and then discover you are flirting with a bloke. The fact you flirted with a toon (and a stranger) apparently is not. In the future, rather than jumping on the bandwagon, I'd suggest reading the entire thread. Regardless - If the guys here can complain perpetually about the game (seriously, this gets quite tiring), I suppose the girls can complain about the immature players who mostly populate it (both problems solvable).
  6. I apologize for the retort. I AM getting rather impatient with all the complaints, regardless of shape or form.
  7. I refuse to read this thread, those will be five minutes of my life I will never get back. It's a waste of space on Bioware's database.
  8. I don't care who can beat who in a duel. Revan is by far more awesome just for being Revan.
  9. I have been playing casually (about three hours a day) for about a week now. Got two characters, one is level 11 and the other 16. No idea what you guys are talking about. Leveling is fine.
  10. Lonely males, this should satisfy your cravings.
  11. Why? You do realize this is a role playing game? You're wrong, it gets creepier when people with opinions such as yours start flirting with female avatars.
  12. This is really odd, as the Dragon Age forums (same company) have the option of importing your face as a forum avatar. As for gender choices, I don't care one way or the other. I first created a male smuggler and then a female inquisitor a week later. Ended up playing the inquisitor more simply because I found the story (and voice acting) more interesting.
  13. I suggest you try playing in a rp server, I find these a lot more enjoyable and have yet to encounter a similar case to what you described.
  14. I noticed they stopped releasing those. Anyone knows why and when can we expect the next?
  15. I *think* they made it work in this way so your companion would not end up baiting mobs when you're trying to avoid them. That said, I think a very plausible fix for this will be for BW to change companion behavior so they will stop next to the character and not behind it, thus blocking my cursor.
  16. Some guys find it uncomfortable looking at a cartoonish male butt. Whether it's because they're embarrassed or worried this makes them gay, I have no idea.
  17. Am I the only who encountered this? Every I time I want to click on something (vendor, gathering, etc) in front of my character I end up clicking on my companion instead because he stops so close to me. Anyone got potential workarounds?
  18. Seems odd as the only thing they have go by is voice (which overweight women are usually more gifted with), and the gamer's avatar. Which is why I thought about it in the first place. Ah well, I'm not going to press this. edit: Have you considered creating a female only guild? Worth a try.
  19. Have you honestly never encountered an idiot and wondered why is he such an idiot? Your explanation is inadequate. I find it unlikely that multiple males fought over a single woman as the ratio between genders is more or less even. I just think they want to feel (for once) like men, and by doing so they wander even farther from masculinity.
  20. Personally, I don't understand this trolling stuff. Why would anyone want to troll? What possible reason do they have for doing so? More importantly, I'm curious how these people manage real world socializing. In all my time, I have yet to find a satisfactory answer. As for flirting with women on the vent, don't they find it odd and quite awkward that they're five guys hitting on one girl? Seems disturbing to me.
  21. No bug is safe to fix, and even if it's a simple fix - finding what's causing the problem usually isn't. Besides, just by digging into the code and fixing stuff you open the door for new bugs.
  22. Mostly for security, logins, and statistics. There is always more than meets the eye.
  23. There is a difference between infrastructure and servers. Just because the game servers and the website are not sitting on the same data bank, that does mean they are on a different infrastructure. In fact, they probably are on the same one as they have to communicate between themselves with a very low latency. This especially can cause problems when you split your maintenance (had a lot of grief from doing this in the air force), especially for a young and rather inexperience team as bioware. I'm sure they have a good reason for this. Such decisions are not made out of hand and are usually carried through after some consideration (or lack of choice).
