  1. sorry! Thanks for the responses, those and your videos have helped me out a lot with this class. I'm having more fun with it now. How much bursting do you try to get while in a kinetic build? Are you popping adrenals and relics right before you open on someone?
  2. I played around with his build a little, I was avoiding double strike and ended up just using my normal attack as filler. It was a little weird for me but I never had force problems. It does feel weird though, not really have anything to do in between projects and TK. I guess just use the time to spam force breach, mind control if needed, that kind of stuff I guess.
  3. I have a lvl 36 Shadow I've been leveling through just class quests and PvP, using the defense tree right now. I'm about to get the Telekinetic Throw ability so that will be nice, but I'm curious about your abilities. How do you get what seems to be 2 Projects in a row? It's looks like you're hurling two pieces of debris at your enemies. Is that just a lucky proc from the Particle Acceleration talent? Are you using Telekinetic Throw a lot when you're specced Kinetic, even without the Harnessed Shadows buff? In between Projects I tend to just Double Strike my opponents and it doesn't do much damage. Is there a point to using Force Breach with Combat Technique in PvP?

  5. What's awesome is when my game reset, it killed me on Alderaan and made me rez back at House Organa. No where near where I was doing a class quest. Kick me when I'm down why don't you...

    Fixing Resolve

    I have a Jedi Shadow I'm leveling and I abuse my stuns. I use my CC stun, Mind Maze, like it's going out of style. I can hold down a turret in Alderaan against 2 enemy players for about 20 seconds and never even have to break stealth to do it. My 8 second stun doesn't even fill the resolve bar once. I have a ranged 4 second stun that doesn't break on damage, doesn't fill the resolve bar. I agree the CC needs to be taken down a notch or two in this game. It's really fun for me, really fun, but not how the game should be played.

  9. I'm not going to say that the Gunslinger class doesn't have problems, but if you're lvl 50 it's really all about expertise. Once you get to 180 you'll notice a big difference, at least that's when I did. I know 3% doesn't sound like a lot but when you consider without it: You are doing 3% less damage to the enemy, they are doing 3% MORE damage to you. So it's really more like a 6% change in a 1v1 fight. Also it's easy to feel useless in the warzone. I've posted this before but my problem is killing people. I can always burn them down but then I get LoS'd or swarmed by the rest of the team. I'll feel worthless the whole match only to discover at the end that I was #2 in damage and had a lot of kills. I know it doesn't exactly make up for it, but just rest easy in the knowledge that sitting there pounding down on guys only to have them run around a corner; well there was probably a member of your team sitting right there who melted their face off as soon as they turned the corner. Also key bind your vital shot to something easy to reach. I love running to a node in Alderaan alone with 4 enemies. They kill me yea, but not before I get that DoT ticking on every one of them and get a Flash Grenade off. You can't cap an objective with a DoT ticking. By the time the DoT has worn off and they get back to trying to cap it there's usually another member of my team in there causing some havoc.
  10. I'm curious if the OP has an opinion on this question, how well can the Op finish someone off? I don't think the Gunslinger is "broken" but there are some real problems with it. I do "routinely end up with close to top damage" however I never manage to actually kill someone. I can burn someone down but once they get to 30%, even after I use my quickdraw thing (whatever its called), I have real trouble killing them. Sometimes I'll get CC'd, if my escape is up by the time I use it and start to DPS again they already got a heal off. Sometimes they will LoS me, if I have both leg shot and flashbang up I can kill them but unless both are available they usually run away and I can't catch up. Most of the damage I pump out is worthless it feels like, as soon as I hurt someone they just step outside for a cigarette, put a bandaid on it, then come back in to the fight.
  11. I use it in PvP when I can but it does cost a lot of energy. In a 1v1 fight you don't really have time to use it, you can't afford to lose the GCD on it. I had an idea in another thread; add an effect to flourish shot where it reduces the amount of healing received, 33% for the length of the debuff. You couldn't sit there spamming it on a group because you would be out of energy in no time, but in a 1v1 fight would really give you the extra push you need when someone just LoS's you around a corner and snaps off a 1.5sec heal before you can do anything.
  12. I'm tired of getting destroyed in Warzones and seeing that my side had no one healing. How is the Sage for PvP healing? I've done healing in other MMO's, can anyone speak as to how the Sage stacks up against the Scoundrel and Trooper? I have a Gunslinger and the forum is just full of people complaining about how broken the class is. I really enjoy the play style but there are some problems with it. Is the Sage a well built class right now, not much to QQ over?
  13. It's really annoying when someone takes a few steps down a ramp to LoS me. By the time I get back into range, they already got a 1.5 sec cast time heal off. I think flourish shot should do something like reduce the amount of healing received for 8 seconds or something. I rolled a DPS class, I don't expect to be able to heal myself. Just give me a little something for those 1v1 fights to balance it out.

    Ilum is not an enjoyable experience. Why is it in the game? No mater if you are on the 'winning' or 'losing' side, you get out of there as fast as humanly possible once you hit your 30 armaments. Isn't that a sign that nobody enjoys this? Who goes to Ilum without the quest, just for fun? No one that's who.
  15. Is there a point to destroying the turrets and those big AT looking things? I was in Ilum this morning, took me an hour to get the armaments (eh, thats a little long for my taste), and we went up to the Imperial base. We destroyed both the turrets then ran around and destroyed all the 'walkers'. Is the Valor bonus the only thing you get from all this?
