  1. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated
  2. I am gathering feed back for the SWTOR community, to give an update to those people who are interested in the game, or stopped playing and want to know how the game is doing. The SWTOR Monthly Community Feedback is something that I will be updating monthly, as this game receives frequent updates. The feedback will be used in commentary on SWTOR videos on my youtube channel, and you will receive credit for your ideas and feedback by either your display name. You can leave feedback for any of the following: Here are some of the items I would like to get feedback on: 1. Favorite Items or packages on the Cartel Market 2. How did you start the game F2P or Sub, and how long have you been playing the game for. 3. How many characters do you have (on whichever server you would consider your primary server) and what factions are they on 4. Thoughts and feedback on Titans of Industry content 5. Current favorite Flashpoint or Operation and why 6. If you could make just one change to the game, what would it be and why. 7. Which species would you like to see added to the game 8. Thoughts and Feedback on the Bounty Contract Event 9. Current favorite gear set. and which class do you use it on 10. Recently SWTOR develops released information that a major PvP update is coming in the near future, what are you hoping they add or change about pvp, and why. This results of the monthly feedback will be available on my YouTube channel: http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCeZf8VJOCb65BrOvXXFKe9A
  3. I think that people either don't know, or forget sometimes that Star Wars: The Old Republic was not intially intended to be an MMORPG (Like it is now with end game PvP and end game PvE), it was developed as an RPG, which is why the hero engine was used. The hero engine is great for Single player RPG's, and would have been an amazing choice if they never expanded into the MMORPG game world. They developed multiplayer, and the end-game content after the main story was completed. Then, to make matters worse, after they decided to make it an MMORPG, EA forced them to release the game early, while it was still in development. I really do belive that if they had more time, they would have eventually not used the hero engine, and would have realized it could not really be fully optomized for the MMORPG aspect of the game they decided to incorperate. Honestly, I feel they probably will never be able to change the engine at this point. It would for one: cost way too much money, two: they would need more staff if they wanted to complete it in any revelant timeframe (for when the game is still popular), and three: they wouldn't just be 'updating the game engine', they would have to completely re-write the game on the new engine, which means all progress for all players in the game would most likely be lost. The best option at this point would be working on a sequal... to learn from the mistakes they made, and do it right in SWTOR 2 or something. Its sad that this is a Star Wars game, but we know there will never be any large scale battles in a game due to not being able to optomize the engine to make it work. When I think Star Wars MMORPG, I think big, open world PvP duels and confrontations... the PvE content is pretty good, and I feel like that is where the future for SWTOR is, but I really wish they could go back and use an engine from the start that would have allowed, overall, better pvp in the game. TLDR: No, I don't think they will ever change the engine for SWTOR, because they would not be able to with the current resources and timeframe they would have to complete it within.
  4. I did not see where they said that, if you could site you source where they announced the new small planetary story arc in 2.4 I would appreciate it, that way I can look into, and site the information!
  5. Hey guys, thank you for all the great Feed back you guys have supplied me with so far about your current opinions on the current state of the game, the upcoming game updates, and what keeps you playing the game! This feed back is going to be used in the newest episode of my Lets Play series for Star Wars The Old Republic, which will be filmed tonight, and will be in a section I discuss that I am calling 'The Monthly SWTOR Community Update'. If anyone else wants to voice their opinion then let me know, I will be doing this once a month, every month, always on different topics! Again, thank you all for all the feed back so far, its been great! -check out my channel for the current SWTOR episodes (link in the OP), and keep an eye out for the latest episode because your name and feedback may be used!
  6. Its been so long since I played through KORTOR 1&2 that I can't even remember anymore, I really need to play those games again!
  7. Is the SSSP still even a thing? I mean we have been talking about it forever, and been waiting for even a sliver of news to be released about it, but I haven't heard anything in a really long time.
  8. I personally have been say for awhile that I would love to have a droid for a playable species. Maybe one of the HK's or something you could customize and create yourself. They already have droid armor in the game, and droids for companions, enemies, and characters... so why not be able to play as one! It could be apart of a new storyline for both factions as apart of a large expansion pack or something, and could be either Tank, RDPS, or MDPS.
  9. Not really, if I remember correctly the Devaronians look more like devils with larger horns... kind of like a ram or something. I would really like Torgruta though, they are kind of like Twi’lek, I personally prefer the Twi’lek race a little more, but would totally roll a Torgruta too!
  10. I completely agree, I have played a lot of MMO's, and have been playing this game since launch, and I really hope someday they can come up with a way to make the experience different for multiple playthroughs. The only way this has really been successfully accomplished in the past would be to make the story different for each class. I was hoping that GW2 would be able to resolve that issue with dynamic missions... which is what SWTOR is calling some of the new content in the upcoming patch, which would resolve the issue, but only if they were truly dynamic, and not partially or what I call 'pre-determined' dynamic events and missions.
  11. I havent played the PTS yet, was kind of companion is it? Another RDPS?
  12. Well all the new stuff they are releasing with the newest update... the bounty contract event, new FP's, new daily missions, the announcement of a new companion... there is a lot of things coming up. Some things have been kept secret, but we know a lot of content is coming our way soon.
  13. I havent tired out he PTS yet, but you definitely made me want to, I didnt know there was going to be full voice acting with it, and I kind of want to see some of the new gear and stuff that is being released. Has anyone gone throught the new FP's yet? If so, how are they?
  14. Ah, I see what you mean now, the way I intially read it sounded like you wanted me to just full out hate on the game lol. But ya, I'm beginning to experiment more with how things are presented in the episodes. Thanks for the feedback BTW!
  15. I agree, recently in the Old Republic Insider they stated that in an upcoming update they would have a lot of big changes for PvP players, but have not released what they would be yet. I agree, PvP could use some improvement (after 2.0 the naked PvP was funny as hell!). I really hope they do continue to work on the PvP because the game does have a lot of great potential in this area, I would really like a couple new Hutt Ball Arena's, and new objective based PvP matches, and the ability to choose which types you would or would not que for.
  16. I see what you mean, but I really have enjoyed this game, and have been playing consistantly since launch, and want to help the community by bringing in new players. I dont really think doing negative videos, or complaining about the game would do it much justice, and would probably make people not want to play. Also, I am doing the lets play series for the story of the different classes, since Bioware did a great job with most of them, and they are really interesting.
  17. So I run a channel on youtube, and do a Lets Play series for Star Wars The Old Republic (thunderbyrd007 is the channel name), and in the next episode I am going to discuss the SWTOR community, their opinion of the game, what you guys like/dislike, what improvement the developers have done well at addressing since launch (or not done well ), what new things are you current favorite items, what keeps you playing the game, what you guys want most in the game, things like that... I really hope we as a community can keep new players coming in, and hopefully this video can help new potential players to get into the game! Your feedback will be used in the newest episode of my Lets Play series, in an update I'm calling the SWTOR Community update. Thanks for any and all feedback, see you in the game! 18. From my understanding the Makeb content was actually supposed to be the content they were hyping right before F2P was launched... if everyone remembers it was going to be free content, they actually already said the planet would be makeb and everything, and that was, from what I remember, last summer all this happened. Once they decided to go F2P, they stopped everything on Makeb, and put it on the back burner, and have been solely focused on developing the cartel market, and establishing the income they would need for a successful F2P model. Now they are finally in a position that they could resume the development of this content, and decided for marketing reasons to make it the 'first major expansion pack'... to bring in new customers, and retain some of the old ones that were considering quitting the game (most importantly trying to bring back all the customers they lost between this summer through fall)/
  19. Korgan all the way, I would totally play a Krogan Bounty Hunter, or a Vakarian Sniper over most of the races... actually it seems that Mass Effect has better races in general, when comparing apples to apples. I have said this before, but I personally feel that bioware used the wrong IP for a bioware MMO....
  20. They look more like weird colored Panthers... Panther People
  21. Well from what I'm noticing so far is you will probably forget about some of them, then down the road, after killing one boss 25 times on HM you will get a nice little reminder of how much you have actually done in the game. Achievements in xbox live dont give you any xbox live credits or anything, but this game does offer (even if it is just a small number) of cartel coins, on some of the achievements.
  22. The gear that looks best so far is the inquisitor gear. They have all been cloth (aside from teh swamp moster gear), but I love the new leather look of the gear, I am currently rocking the white Gree Armor set without a helm, with a blue twi'lek sorc, and it looks great. It would be nice to offer more options for scor type classes, not everyone enjoys wearing a skirt/kilt.
  23. TY, I obviously put a lot of effort into this detailed walkthough.
  24. Have you been locked in a box for the past 10 years... Achievements have been an industry standard for most games for a long time now, not just WoW.
