  1. My apologies for being inactive in this thread, I was not available for a time. I'm happy to see that this thread is still somewhat active. I'll do what I can to update the original post with the suggested sets when I can. I think most of the armor sets seen in that video are on the list, though I didn't watch the whole thing. Sadly, this set is not an option. If I remember correctly Satele Shan is actually a single model, her clothes are part of her body, rather than being an armor set. I've seen similar looking armor elsewhere as a player-worn item in-game before, I think it looks a lot like Revan's.
  2. Update: I'm happy to hear an official response. While it may not be being worked on at the moment, the developers still have it in their heads and discuss it. That's all I need. original post: It has been more than two years since the game launched, and that's two years of players asking for a way to toggle the hoods on their outfits. In this Community Q&A from February 2012 we were told that the hood toggle likely be in the next major patch after Game Update 1.2. Delays are acceptable, this is not. He even goes so far as to say that the functionality will be available for our companions, as well. This means that the feature was being tested and worked on enough to where they could release such information. If there were problems or bugs with the hood toggle option that kept it from being released, why not tell us? Why just leave us in the dark, waiting for a word about it for two years? Why did they suddenly stop talking about it? Did they forget? Were they hoping we would forget? Just give us some explanation. Be it good or bad news it cannot be worse than knowing nothing at all.
  3. I'd love this addition, but I believe it has the same potential to happen as the hood toggle that they've been promising for years. It'd be great, people would love it, it would boost sales, but they won't do it because, you know, stuff.
  4. The term "Old Republic" is used from before the time of this game until after the Rebel Alliance founds "The New Republic." BioWare would continue working within their* timeline. Putting a game in that time period is just begging to be overwritten by movies lore-wise, like the books post-movies. *All of BioWare's Star Wars games occur around the same time period. SW:TOR is set in 3636 BBY and onward, and KOTOR was set approximately 300 years before SW:TOR. The nearest canon lore is in the 1000 BBY area, so BioWare would continue with this if they want their lore to be as safe as possible (from being overwritten by movies).
  5. A better way of doing it would be to contact Star Wars book writers or game writes and give even the slightest mention of her name as being a Jedi Teacher. Even if the sentence "and Padawan Teacher Rachel D'Avino is teaching our new students." would add her to the C-Canon. Sending a petition to Disney is not going to do anything, and the most you would get if they did would be her name on the Wiki as a Jedi with no background. I'd also suggest using proper grammar if you want to be taken seriously with such matters, well thought out posts make a big difference.
  6. I don't see it as a problem. It's not hard to believe that the name of a planet could change over the course of 3,600 years, especially when that planet is frequently lost (forgotten about and then rediscovered). The Sith were wiped out, perhaps the name was changed because the planet was shunned for thousands of years, or renamed because they wanted to wipe out all traces of their species.
  7. I don't know what kind of explosives you've got knowledge of that nobody else does, but no missiles houses there could have blown off large chunks of the moon large enough to get through the atmosphere to do any damage. Even if they did, those chunks wouldn't be shot out of orbit and toward the planet, at the most they would orbit the planet or the moon itself. Not exactly. He is going through the diplomatic process, not doing sneaky business. These bills or whatever he is trying to pass has no chance when it gets voted on, and is not a thread to the security of the Jedi and the Republic. Plus, you're stealing government documents for a person who says she's going to use them to "expose" this guy for what he is, but you don't know her. I skip this quest, though. I don't want it to be part of my story. It's just too vague.
  8. Of course most people won't know who I am, but I feel that when you leave a community for a time you should post a farewell thread. I've unsubscribed today due to some changed circumstances, and so I can afford to play another game that I've been looking forward to for many years. Anyhow, I just wanted to say farewell for now, as non-subscribers cannot use the forums I will still be lurking, though. This isn't a "SW:TOR did everything wrong and I'm quitting!" thread, because I did not unsubscribe because I dislike the game. I will certainly be continuing to enjoy my time in SWTOR as a preferred status player, and will resubscribe when I can afford it. I'm very happy there is a "Preferred Status Play" option, because completely losing Star Wars: The Old Republic would be very hard for me. The Force will be with you, always.
  9. First of all, I totally agree. However, I've got to be honest: any of the kinds of people you're talking about who read this thread will not change their ways. This thread is, to them, just an example of spineless people who cannot take insults and need to L2P. The others will sympethize with the situation, because we've all been there, but the people in question will not get your point, and will not change. Sad to say, but true. I'd say if you ever find yourself in that situation, tell them to stop or you'll leave too. It's hard enough finding a tank and a healer, having both leave would be a good way to send them a message. I'm a tank, and I've had to do it once or twice because they were being ignorant to the healer in the group.
  10. Actually killing Malgus isn't a bug, but it is a game mechanic. The canon is that you pushed him off into the abyss. It's likely that he's dead. Revan may have used Forced Teleport to get out of that situation. He didn't become one with the Force, because he left no objects behind (yes, I know he probably couldn't because of game restraints, but you need to consider that). He didn't get a last blow, either. Both could be dead or alive, so it's best to just wait until the story explains it rather than debating endlessly.
  11. Datamining is not knowing the future. Everything on that website is in the game, it just may not be obtainable. So no, it isn't false. And also, this absolutely does exist in the game. It has been given to a few people who experienced billing problems a long time ago, if I remember correctly. I'm sure devs also have access to them.
  12. ArcheAge is in press-release alpha stages! It's going to go into beta very soon! Of course this game likely won't interfere with my playing SW:TOR, but I sure am looking forward to it. The combat could be better, but the sandbox aspect of this game is off the charts, and is worth playing just for it. Hold onto your butts!
  13. This is why you don't buy Treek. Just wait until she's super cheap.
  14. This is the General Discussion forum, you're looking for the Bug Reports forum.
  15. Because people whine about wanting to be special.
  16. We don't even have a button. Let's start with that, shall we?
  17. Calling a company names will certainly get them to listen to you.
  18. Hey there's a lot of people on the forums we see a lot of, we don't want them gone. However posting suggestions in the right place and condensing posts as to not flood the forums is the way to go. Don't stop posting if you have an opinion you'd like to share.
  19. You just described my SWTOR life for one and a half years.
  20. Been suggested more times that I can count. Who knows, maybe it will be like Galactic Starfighter or player housing and they've just not told us about it.
  21. It would be useful, yes. However it wouldn't be high on the priority list. You've been making a lot of threads lately, why not just make one large thread for your ideas/discussions? Every other thread I see is yours.
