  1. Right, here we go, AAA-quality /sarc on Amazing, I'm so glad you're focussing all your AAA-quality resources into making an amazing AAA-quality expanion. Like every excited long-time subscriber I'm looking forward to the AAA-quality Cartel Packs we'll be seeing in the new future. This future will be AAA-quality now for sure! Also dont be too fast with making new operations. The AAA-quality Blades of Revan and the AAA-quality mouse droids on Ruugar are sure to keep people very busy! In the mean time, we can enjoy AAA-quality PvP with queues popping all the time and AAA-quality class balancing to ensure a AAA-quality experience. This also goes for the AAA-quality PvE you're offering at this point! I'm so excited. All this new content I've never done before. Looking forward to AAA-quality overtuned Eternity Vault and going back to the R-AAA-vagers and Temple of S-AAA-crifice. Yeah, you get the point. /sarc off Nobody here in the guild could take this blog post seriously. We'd say we are sorry, but then we would be lying, which we are not very into unlike you gents at Bioware. BETTER THAN CROSS SERVER. AAA-QUALITY SOLUTIONS. /rantoff Peace.
  2. I am surprised at the amount of BioWare employees replying to this thread. Because honestly, nobody who is halfway serious at end-game PvE progression can consider this a good thing. For the record I normally dont indulge in writing rage posts, but this situation deserves an exception. Upscaling this old content is the most disgusting and laziest thing BioWare couldve done and I cant express how disappointed I am at this development. First of all, BioWare is disastrous at upscaling content, so you can all expect the bosses to be way too easy or nigh unkillable. Big slap in the face of everyone who isnt a mouth-breathing clicker pug and actually does/did PvE progression with his or her guild. About wanting to fix the old content before making new content, well, normal companies who actually give a damn about their customers usually fix there issues before launching their product or apply hotfixes within a week. But cheers Bioware, I sure had a lot of FUN with the BLADES on REVAN that would occasionally RETURN after being thrown off. PROPER gamedesign there chaps! HATS OFF TO YOU! This is insulting, you're not getting another penny out of me or the majority of my guild. Hope you tossers go bankrupt before the end of year. You deserve it for the way you develop your product and treat your customers. Yours sincerely, Disgruntled and formerly extremely patier customer
  3. First of all I would like to establish that Scoundrels and Operative DPS are completely fine in the current metagame. Their numbers growing can largely be attributed to the nerfbat that hit Serenity/Hatred last time around, which was arguably needed. Its a shame BioWare applied their usual policy and also destroyed the PvE aspect of that spec, but thats a story for another thread. We have more Scoundrels and Operatives in the current regular Warzones. There being more of them does not warrant a bloody nerf on the entire class. I main a Scoundrel DPS in regular warzones (Saultroy) on the Red Eclipse and I run 4-man Scoundrel premades multiple times a week (#ScoundrelSquad), matching outfits, voice comms, everything. I'm not that often queued for Ranked, I do relatively well but by no means exceptional, I get by getting to second tier every season and I'm content with that. I enjoy my premade, or any guild premade. 4-man Scoundrel premade is just like a regular 4-man premade. Scoundrels and Operative are amazing classes to do objectives. Being able to stealthcap on hold off multiple people for a long period of time can definitely turn a game around in your favor. Scoundrels/Operatives arent cheap. They pack heavy opening burst as a pro, with very lackluster defensives as a con and the class definitely comes with a relatively steep learning curve if you want to play it properly and be an asset to your team. They're great at playing objectives but lack the objectives-toolkit a Shadow/Assassins has. I'd like to do a personal callout to everyone who is shouting that Scoundrels/Operatives need a nerf. Play it for a bit and see how you like being stunned and focussed down instantly due to your lackluster cooldowns. ''But the roll is OP and needs to be nerf'' The roll is all we bloody got. It is the only proper defensive mechanism that blocks out all damage and isnt total ***** (looking at you, Defense Screen). You break the roll, you break the entire class and stomp the viability of the entire Scrapper/Concealment spec into the bloody ground. If you get chain CC'd by a Scoundrel/Operative and him or his teammate manages to sneak in a node cap or cap a door, then you probably messed up yourself mate. I've played ranked matches against a genius Sage who used CC break on Dirty Kick/Debilitate, a good flashbang kept him out of the game for 8 seconds (kudos to other DPS on my team not hitting him) and cost his team the match. If you keep losing against a Scoundrel/Operative it is most likely a L2P issue (Commando's and Mercenaries aside, you poor folks deserve a defensive buff). If you're one of the many, many Guardians/Juggernauts, Shadows/Assassins or Vanguards/Powertechs (DPS or tanks!) and you keep losing against a Scoundrel, you're a bloody disgrace and should spend more time practicing instead of calling out for nerfs because your sorry behind can't seem to beat them. These kinds of threads disgust me. Classes that are completely fine get called out for the nerfbat because some scrubs/keyboards warriors keep losing against them. Learn to play your own class, reroll to another class, whatever. Just keep this sewage of the forums and spend the time you use concocting these threads to actually practicing and perfecting your own gameplay. You should all know by now BioWare really doesnt give a damn when it comes to these kinds of threads so you're only wasting your time making these (like I wasted my time writing this thread ). TL;DR Scoundrels/Operatives are fine. L2P sunshine.
  4. #ScoundrelSquad. 4-man Scoundrel Premades on regular Warzones on TRE. Our Knuckle Sandwich brigade is ready to hand you your daily serving of fists. You can find us here at http://www.twitch.tv/uxenndural Coming to a warzone near you. If you are ever in need of stealth capping, huttball trolling, harassing or have two Scoundrel stall a 6-man premade for 3 minutes on Hypergates, call 1-800-SCAMPER.
  5. Congratulations to Dxun Rising for killing Revan HM. Job well done. Best of luck to everyone still trying to kill Revan HM!
  6. If the encounter bugs out (allowing you to bypass Coratanni and go straight to Ruugar), it won't grant you any loot or an achievement. We've encountered this bug and killed Ruugar before. Yesterday it decided to not bug out so we could finally do it properly and get the achievement as shown in the screenshot

  8. The 500th notification to BioWare. Your operations are broken as f*ck. Get your sh*t together because these kinds of bugs (the repair droid humping the healers legs) are getting very old.
  9. I think you are definitely not giving the Mercs/Commandos pushing out the high numbers enough credit. As Zoltan said the spec if not ridiculously hard, but very unforgiving. I suggest you do some research into the spec you're slandering here before you make such assumptions. Second of all, when you apply for a guild in the scenario you describe, you (as a player) will inevitably be compared to a player who is already member of said guild playing the same class as you. If the existing IO/Assault player is pulling 5k's and the new guy is not even close, no raidleader will be impressed in the slightest. Long story short; it'll take you roughly as much time to match the resident Merc/Commando as a new Merc/Commando as you would with any other class. Only for higher numbers maybe, but the nerfbat swings different ways every patch. Remember when the IO/Assault players with the RNG in their tree couldnt keep up (or barely) with a skilled Balance/Madness Sage/Sorc? I do. Mercs/Commandos are highest on the parses for now. The difference is not even that high compared to certain other scenarios (pre-3.0 Dirty Fighting/Virulence anyone? Competitive, yes. Nowhere near IO/Assault and Balance at the time in terms of sustained at the time). Give it time, I'll get nerfed at some point and you can /lol at me for trying to keep up with you. Give or take a few months and I might do the same to you.
  10. Reserve Powercell grants 10 stacks of Supercharge. The set-up time for the Commando/Mercenary is significantly higher than Sentinels (Valorous Call, quicker build-up time of Centering), Scoundrel (1 stack of Upper Hand), Sage (no pre-stacking at all). If a Commando DPS wants to build up his stacks he has to gimp his own DPS by spamming Hammer Shot/Charged Bolts. Make it happen BioWare.
  11. The change to Sabotage Charge/Explosive Probe is nice, but only sustainable if they reduce the energy cost too. Else there will be no way a full Marksman/Lethality can keep using it on cooldown with such a steep energy cost. If memory serves me right BioWare doesnt like people using Hybrid specs, hence the removal of Dotsmash and the Vanguard hybrid in the past. Do the devs realise that this Sabotage Charge buff will increase Hybrid DPS? Dont know what they are up to at BioWare HQ anymore. Also, with the whole removal of RNG crusade the devs have been on. Are you guys going to do it properly and tackle every class' RNG or just the ones you fancy? Madness Sorcerer and Arsenal Mercenary got RNG removed, sweet. Now Combat Sentinel/Marauder is getting their RNG removed, kind of bitter sweet due to Disp/VT procs. Heres my question, can we finally, FINALLY get rid of the proc 'chance' on QD/TD? Might as well make it 100% already. I know it procs pretty much every time, but nothing is more infuriating than it not proccing during a good parse of a DPS check fight. I fail to see the logic behind the RNG for this case in particular. Please enlighten me. While you're at it, throw the Pyro Mercs/PT's a bone. Unload/Rocket Punch 100% Proc chance will make lots of people smile Either be consistent with removing RNG or keep the RNG for everyone.
  12. To be honest I was expecting a ragepost about progression raiders/guilds being elitist jerks. This thread is proof that not all high-end raiders and guilds are self-absorbed ******es. Gives me hope

  14. I definitely agree with Surrender/Countermeasures needing a rework, the amout of threat dropped seems very lackluster compared to Force Camo and Diversion/Chaff Flare. While (usually) effective against single targets, it doesnt hold water against a pack of mobs. A class with an AoE heavy (albeit broken) spec like the Gunslinger/Sniper should be paired with a power significant, AoE threat drop. Saboteur/Engineering has been broken for a while now, I personally doubt BioWare placed the issue high on the 'to fix list. To increase DoT uptime and AoE damage, isnt it possible to have the Incindiary Grenade/Plasma Probe either 1. Apply Shock Charge/Interrogation Probe to every target in the AoE during the first X seconds it ticks faster (make IG/PP require a single target, single Target must have SC/IP on it to work) or 2. Have the AoE from IG/PP apply stack(s) of Blazing Speed/Electrified Railgun DoTs on any target that enters it. This gives us some more 'room' in our rotation for other fluff abilities to boost DPS higher. On my personal parses full ranged Sabotage parses a good 400-500 behind the SS and DF (admitted, 3.7k parses on SS are a rare thing) As for Dirty Fighting/Lethality, here an interesting idea. Feel free to shoot it down, but this is brainstorming right ? Quickdraw/Takedown is currently energy-neutral due to 4-set PvE bonus. Make QD/TD free, Hemo/Weakning Blast cost energy (perhaps same amount a QD/TD?) but reduce its CD. (fit it in the rotation so every WS/Cull can be buffed, as mentioned before in this thread). Oh! Heres a fun one too! Boost the damage done by Sweeping Blasters/Supressive Fire in SS/MM trees, duh. The ability is extremely lacking if you look at the DMG/Energy ratio. Boost it by a good margin to make it worthwhile. I'd rather throw Frags/Thermals nowadays for they are instant and yellow dmg instead of weapon. Yes, I have the tendency of using a lot of brackets. Sorry about that
  15. If you can get your tank to position the boss against a wall (or other solid object) or are comfortable with peforming the 'roll-in-place', Scatter Bombs is the way to go (if you can deal with being a wonky Melee wannabe ) If you intend to play as a proper Ranged, change to another spec, Sharpshooter, Hybrid, Dirty Fighting, whatever you might fancy. Ranged Saboteur is underpeforming compared to the other available trees.
