  1. as a commando gunnery spec ok, so lvling up and pvping i figured that crit and surge were the best things to stack, crit for that ammo bonus on crits, and seeing that i'd be stacking crit, might aswell stack surge to get big crits. now that i'm 50 and gearing up, i've noticed that EVERY SINGLE piece of tionese gear seems to have crit and accuracy accuracy seems to increase my chance to hit, which is nice, anything above 100% reduces oponent's chance to dodge/parry, but whats the cap on this? i have almost nothing of tionese gear, mostly some crafteds and a drop or two and a pvp item somewhere with accuracy, and i'm already 106% (so 6% less dodge/parry already) getting that full tionese would give me at least another 8% accuracy, but i'm kind of afraid it'll be totally useless. any thoughts? edit: just another thought, the tionese stuff is also accuracy and power... almost no crit...
  2. hello fellow mirror classes, i posted this in the commando forums, but seeing as there's bearly any republic alive, and the mechanics being the same, i figured maybe somebody here has something to say: as gunnery spec (the tracer missile spec) ok, so lvling up and pvping i figured that crit and surge were the best things to stack, crit for that ammo bonus on crits, and seeing that i'd be stacking crit, might aswell stack surge to get big crits. now that i'm 50 and gearing up, i've noticed that EVERY SINGLE piece of tionese gear seems to have crit and accuracy accuracy seems to increase my chance to hit, which is nice, anything above 100% reduces oponent's chance to dodge/parry, but whats the cap on this? i have almost nothing of tionese gear, mostly some crafteds and a drop or two and a pvp item somewhere with accuracy, and i'm already 106% (so 6% less dodge/parry already) getting that full tionese would give me at least another 8% accuracy, but i'm kind of afraid it'll be totally useless. any thoughts? edit: just another thought, the tionese stuff is also accuracy and power... almost no crit...
  3. so... nobody has thoughts on this =( maybe i should post it in the BH forum...
  4. even if it was 1 second, the damage difference would still be at least 200%. hammer shot is basically what you use between skills to not let your ammo go too low.
  5. just remember GCD is actually 1.5 seconds, so you get 2 hammer shots off in 3 seconds, at my level and gear, hammer shot does about 600, 2 of them would do 1200, and full auto does 3.5k if none crit. so... big difference.

  7. this makes no sense in a realistic world. i grabbed all my pieces in 1 run? dont need to run it anymore? i'm going to lvl an alt. need my help? i get nothing in return exept repair bills and frustration? thanks, but no thanks.
  8. dunno bout you, but my ship's already pretty banged up and scratched, i wouldnt mind landing it wherever i can on the planet, doesnt have to be a shiny spaceport
  9. they cant even code mirror skills to be equal, let alone them being different in different places.
  10. simple math. lets say statisticly there are 50 bad players for every 10 good players on the imperial side, and, realisticly, there are 5 bad players per 1 good players on the republic side. the chances of 8 bad players on imp side being on the same team is much higher then 8 bad players on republic side.
  11. oh wait, merc skill isnt getting its free cost every 1.5 minutes? **** fix that! troopers cant full auto or mortar volley? eh, who cares.
  12. right, confused myself. i was talking about the regeneration thingie
  13. every single bounty hunter feels its his duty to come stick his nose where he doesnt have a clue what we're talking about. click a skill and it doesnt deploy? that's lag bro. click a skill and your character does a little dance before realizing he has to pull the trigger? that's a bug.
  14. rambo is an illusion, you do not carry heavy duty weapons into the front lines, its suicide. editing for further clarification: spec ops marine forces use light, reliable m15 assault rifles or something of the sort, lots of gadgets to help them, granades and light armor to make them very mobile. you never EVER see a soldier carrying anything he isnt confortable carrying for 24h+
  15. mortar volley needs to shoot more shells, like the BH counterpart, and faster, that would make it look more deadly grav round... eh... it's OK only because the noise isnt as annoying as the tracer missile, but it looks weak... you shoot a little blue whisp that kind of lags halfway to the target, then completes is journey... i mean, its a friggen round from an assault riffle, it should barely be seen, let alone lag along the way like a poorly made paper airplane i do like pulse cannon, but i'd like it to be a little more visible (you can barely make out where it hits and where it doesnt. and stockstrike is awesome for the rifle, not for the cannon, the cannon doesnt even look like it would hurt, at all, it does need to be some sort of melee action, like a shoulder to the face would be nice. unload looks amazing. nothin says bring it on like a cartridge bouncing on the floor
  16. and then you'd be rolling on shadow/sage gear and alot of QQing would be involved, i'm very glad biowawre devided gear as is.
  17. sorry, but its not about change your skills or relearn how to play, just being able to have mouseover abilities and bigger/different raid UI doesnt make you "good", just means you're able to use your abilities to a higher level. havint DPS meters does improve skills, having a combat log can really help you know what killed you and what you can do to prevent it in raid situations. there's a reason why wow's high grade endgame is so competitive, theorycrafting is an important part of an MMO. this game however, has none of those, thus we cant help people get better, we wont know who is the slacker not pulling their weight, we'll know which classes are fine, which are imbalanced, which need a buff and which need to be nerfed to the ground. its not because we want WoW, its because WoW learned to be a good game and we dont understand why this game hasnt caught up to it yet. when a new car manufacturer opens up, they dont make model T's, they learn from competition.
  18. just had to say, i stopped reading when i saw "operatives need a 2x dmg multiplier" lvl 11 operatives are critting 2k in warzones as it is, lvl 11 beats the **** out of my 43 trooper and makes me cry like a little *****, stun, 2k crit, 2k crit, granade for another 2k, now i can either try to heal myself and survive, which i wont, because in 9 seconds the damage starts all over again, or i can start my lolspamming of grav round, which just wont kill them fast enough. 10-49 warzones need to be somewhat balanced? yeah, they sure do, otherwise lvl 49's will beat the **** out of the entire team, but i'd expect a class that has their full talent points, good gear and a vast arsenal of skills to use to at least have some advantage over somebody who doesnt even have points in their tree. apperantly i was wrong, i leveld a scoundrel up to lvl 10, queued for pvp, and ***** face with 4 medals earned and second top damage.
  19. elara on the other hand rocks in pvp encounters, i recently got ambushed by a sith sorcerer on hoth while i had just aggroed a gold, i quickly shot with a concussive round on the gold and went for the sorcerer, he sent his DPS companion on me (at least i think it was dps) and not only did elara heal me through the companion's damage, but helped me heal through the sorcerer's lighting while i chipped away at his health, soon enough she had killed his companion and with a well-timed stun and recharge cells we dominated the sith, i ended up with 70% health.
  20. hello operative! ok, say ops dont KILL in 3 seconds, i'm pretty sure if that sorc had an absorb shield up, he'd be left with what... 10, 15, maybe 30% health? and after that the operative has no other option but to sit there and cry because he didnt 1 shot his target so he will obnviously fail at taking out 30% of somebody's health before they take his 100%, right?
  21. rep ftw, the more popular trooper choice seems to be the commando, however, the most favored DPS spec (gunnery) isnt very mobile, i've heard, and i can see the skill tree, that the assault tree is pretty mobile, as most things are instant cast it seems. i do amazing as gunnery in PvP, yes i'm a turret, but i have supportive heals, knockbacks, stuns and CC, when i chose trooper commando, and saw the "hope" cinematic with a commando using that assault cannon, it was obvious that the trooper was not a class to play alone, its a support role, and it kicks butt at it. we do have some bugs though, but they'll be fixed... eventually... lvl 37 commando trooper
  22. just browsing the forums, just had to stop by and say this guy is a complete and total blind idiot. go look in the trooper forums. bounty hunters are much better due to unbugged mortar (death from above) and full auto (unload)
  23. well THERES YER PROBLEM dont do that, ever, you cant be a jack of all trades master of none, you'll just end up sucking at everything. focus on one thing, and you'll be unstopabble at it
