I have a Vanguard that I queued as DPS and Tank while I was leveling, however in my case this meant carrying two sets of gear and using the Field Respec. I could switch between specs and regear in between attacking and defending in Voidstar. Now that I am at 50 I have settled into the Tank role and spend my comms and credits upgrading my tanking gear. If I need to switch to DPS I can do it but I am Tionese geared. The free respec makes the subscription worth while.

One of the things you can do is to click on the player portrait and check their recipes to make sure they can actually make it. Also there are people that are known to be trustworthy on the server, generally if you ask in General on fleet for a crafter that can make something for you, people will volunteer the names of people they have used and you will notice that the same people tend to get mentioned over and over.

If you look at the screen showing the Reputation stuff it has a cartel market button on it.

The price is the suggested sell price, however this has very little to do with reality. It is best to do a search first to see what the item is actually selling for. I will usually accept the suggested price for green gear but for everything else I check the prices.

There is a problem with the orange-red and cyan-blue crystals where they cannot be listed on the GTN. Currently the only way to sell them is to announce that you are looking to sell them, preferably use /3 chat (Trade chat). I have had no problem moving these crystals that way.

Not interested in paying to pre-order something that they will deliver in 2 to 5 months from now. All they have said is spring, and that can be anywhere from March 21st to June 21st. Don't know if I will still be playing in five months so i won't be paying $10 to get 5 days of early access. I will likely buy it if I am still playing at the time, but sorry not enough info yet for me to spend $10

If you are not the same class, you can join him without making any changes. If you are the same class (both Consulars for example, Sage and Shadow are considered the same) you have to make one change. In Preferences > Social > General > Allow Access to Same Class Story Areas should be turned on. If you are the same class only one of you can complete the mission at a time, therefore you would have to do them all twice.

Just put on your big boy pants and head to the 50 bracket for PvP and take your lumps while gearing up. You can't max out your comms if you didn't do it already.

I mentioned this when my guild was running through doing the quest when it was first released. Anyone who waits a couple of weeks is going to have a heck of a time searching for the components. There will not be 40 other people in the area searching and calling out when it is found. For the fights you can get guildies to give you a hand, but who is going to want to spend time searching for something they do not need?

What's an Expanion?

Just wanted to say thanks to Jeddit who took well over 30 people (including my new Vanguard Gebakere) through the +10 datacron run on the Republic Fleet. They had things organized really well, all you had to do was show up and grab the blue crystal. They had someone letting people in past the force field and then pulled you from the railing beside the bridge, right up to the top.

To compete in warzones you click on your faction icon in the bottom right corner of your minimap and join a queue. There is one queue for level 10 - 49 characters and all your stats are buffed to what they would be at 49. The second queue is for level 50 characters only. There are also ranked warzones for full groups of 8 level 50 characters. Basically you only need to be level 10 to take part. If you are unsure what to do in a warzone, please ask. There are guides including in the PvP section of these forums but sometimes things may not be clear, so ask. The first time you load into a Huttball warzone you will get a new ability "Pass Huttball" take a second and keybind it.

If there were attachments (gear, credits, etc.) they get returned to the sender. But the note itself is gone after about 30 days. You may have noticed the mail went from white to yellow to orange to red as it aged.

The little bit of valor you are losing now makes no difference, past 85 you start to need 200K valor to go up a level.

Things to look at as well: What is your level and the opponents level? How is your gear in relationship to your level? How is your companions gear compared to your level? Are all your companions abilities turned on? Are you using the right companion? You may be trying a fight before you should be doing it. If your opponent is several levels higher than you, you will have a tough time winning. If you have not updated your gear/weapon in a long time this may be causing issues. This also applies to your companions gear/weapon. Also make sure that your companion is using all his abilities. If you have had a companion for a long time, as they have leveled up they have learned new skills, however by default these new skills are turned off. Another thing to look at is if another companion would be more useful for a fight. In some cases switching to your healing companion, or tank companion will swing the fight in your favour.

In the UI editor panel itself, uncheck the Enabled checkbox.
