  1. i have a lvl 41 guardian and i like it. i'm really hard to kill...impossible to kill with a decent healer to put guard on. luckily, my buddy is a lvl 40 sage...so we basically rule wz's as far as huttball and alderaan go when guarding the side turret. EDIT: and as far as pve goes, once you get doc it's game over. guard doc and leap in. when i want to do damage i leap, master strike, stasis, push, leap and by that time i've gotten enough aggro to keep doc relatively safe while he heals me. it's pretty easy to pve with doc, but before him, pve is kinda hard unless you get a healer buddy like me. you don't do as good damage as you could if you go full tank spec.
  2. thanks i am loving being able to kill jsut about anything, plus heal khem or throw static berrier on him and let him aggro the mobs i take on and just heal him in between lightning casts. i have heard the advice that i should only switch to heals near lvl 50 and that's probably what i'll do, but i feel i'm missing out on medals in warzones because i can't split time between damage and healing but i guess it's just really hard to do that.
  3. i'm specced halfway thru the madness tree with my lvl 25 sorc, and i have a few points in lightning as well to get the extra force and extra damage for a few attacks, but i feel like i'm doing something wrong. my DPS is insanely good but i think as a sorc i'm looked to to provide heals and i do like healing but i also like being able to ranged DPS. it seems easier to DPS than to heal. i'm focused mainly on PVE but i'm always queued for PVP so when the queue pops i do pvp as a damage-dealer. my question is should i split points between heals and DPS or go straight DPS, or is there a hybrid out there i've not come across?
  4. in the middle spec tree there's skill that grants +50 force each time you lvl it up, there are two lvls of it. you can have a max of 600 force. what i'd also recommend is taking any skill that lowers the force cost of your attacks/heals even if it's just 3% it'll make a big difference. I'm not specced to heal but i can spam lightning for about five straight minutes without running out and i imagine heals would be the same because they require similar force to cast. EDIT it's Reserves in the Lightning tree that grants +50 force. also take electric induction in the lightning tree and rank it all the way up.
  5. i quit one WZ, ONCE, because i had girlfriend aggro, and the next time i entered a WZ the ppl i play with who just happened to be in that WZ gave me hell about it. i think there are circumstances where it's ok to quit, and i think everyone should respect that. MANY times i've thought about quitting huttball because i hate it, but i don't. lol
  6. http://www.antonline.com/p_CyberPower--GUA250--CyberpowerPC-Gamer-Ultra-GUA250-Gaming-Desktop-PC-_947900.htm just bought this and it runs SWTOR on max straight from the box. even pvp runs on max settings. i paid less than this price though so shop around for the best price.
  7. wins. in civil war i ALWAYS guard a node and usually only get 3 or 4 medals because i don't go off solo or anything like that, i'm just trying to get the W. i usually have the lowest number of medals in the game but i get at least a few mvp votes per game just because i'm one of the few who actually try to win.
  8. is your species zabrak or rattataki? loots like rat but has horns...lol
  9. last night i had to go from the fleet to nar shadaa, it costs 71 credits, and i couldn't afford it. lol. i only had 39 credits because i'd just spent 22k on training. i feel your pain OP
  10. my synth level is higher than my actual level, so i'm kind of stuck at my current synth lvl. i'm going to keep it so that i can craft as i lvl, but i don't plan on doing many crew skills anymore except farming mats and running UT missions to get schems to sell on the GTN. i plan on getting my rakata gear from synth, crafting it, then dropping synth for maybe bio or i might just profiteer.
  11. that's exactly right. i'm on a standard pop server and the GTN is DEAD. i did slicing with my first character and i could never sell schems for over like 6k. that's still a lot of money, but it's no million creds per day.
  12. i have an iphone, so idon't know this for sure, but one of my friends who has a droid and plays this game said there's an app like this for android phones. the only thing is you have to be on the same wifi as your computer, and your computer has to be turned on and logged into the game in the server where your characters are. this may not be true but it's what i've heard.
  13. I haven't, and one of my friends who has been playing SWTOR since the beta says he hasn't either.
  14. why would you want them to nerf every other skill by saying that you have to have 400 skill to use the item? it's statements like this that ruin games. don't nerf everything down to where you have to have the crew skill to use it. let me tell you why: you spent countless hours and countless credits crafting that armor and at lvl 400 there's no more improving, you've maxed out. why continue to move laterally at a crew skill instead of switching skills and moving upward? that just does not make sense to me. if they make it so that you have to have 400 to use the gear you craft there's no point in crafting it in the first place because there's no improving things. the game would get boring because there's no more crafting anything.
  15. i heard how awesome biochem was so i ditched my lvl 200 synth and started doing biochem. i'm around lvl 130 and i dont see the benefit. sure the reusable medpacks and stims are ok, but honestly a 28 stat boost to strength isn't REALLY that much of a difference. and now that this fix came i'm definitely dropping it and going back to synth (even though i'll go back to 0 and lose all my schems) because as some have said before, i can just get another crafter to give me stims and still have the ability to craft armor. basically, i think biochem isn't as great as everyone thinks it is.
  16. maybe i suck at looking stuff up on the forums and this has already been beaten to death, but i wish my characters could join one server one day and another the next. i wish characters were cross-server, and i wish the GTN was cross-server. i'm in a standard pop server and the GTN is dead. i really don't want to create new characters on a different server, but i want more variety in the GTN. multiple pages of the GTN are empty, and it sucks. is there anything that can be done to address these issues?
  17. the ability to transfer characters across server would be great, too.
  18. i'm doing biochem, bioanalysis, and diplomacy. you can make reusable stims that will boost your stats, it's incredibly useful. i do synth with an alt (non guardian) since my main is my guardian.
  19. i just want them to be universal across all planets, and i want each planet to have at least one kiosk. i hate having to travel to certain planets to sell items. also, what would happen if it were cross-server? that way more stuff would be available, and more people would be buyers to items you're trying to sell. i understand that this would make it overwhelming as to how much stuff is available, and how hard it would be to find what ou're looking for. but i'm sure there are ways they could combat this. putting in a search filter for example, as some have stated above. another thing, why does it have to be in-house only? why can't a republic player sell an item to an imp and vice versa?
  20. that edit answered a question i had as well which is the idea that sharing gathering skills might make it so that i can slice on multiple alts so that i can make more creds. it's interesting how many strategies can be implemented. thanks gnat
  21. also, what about biochem? is it worth not slicing to fund my toons and get schems in order to craft biochem?
  22. that sounds awesome. any app-creaters??? i'm sure it can be done.
