10 Good
  1. as a single player game - 7/10 as a mmo - 4/10
  2. Yes I support this. Cant be that hard to port it to Mac OS X, and there are other big budget MMOs that do it. I uninstalled bootcamp from my brand new MBP as the game was running like a dog, I just cba infecting my laptop with Windows. Bring out a Mac version and I will sub again.
  3. hes right about assassin though, they are seriously underpowered.... sith annoyance they should be renamed to
  4. Obviously a BW employee. Its exactly like reading the 10/10 reviews on metacritic. Hilarious.
  5. A-hahaha... so funny its not true. Assasins are way underpowered. Any ranged class seriously owns us. If a decent operative gets the jump on you, then its game over. The utility you talk about is seriously deep in the tanking tree. The melee dps tree is pathetic, it needs some serious love.
  6. in before fanbois say "working as intended, go back and finish quest"
  7. I was also a die hard SWG player, grinded 24 professions to unlock Jedi - ouch. I also did my research and knew this game was going to be a on-rails themepark. Even though I knew this I still give it a go, as I really would love to play a Star Wars MMO. This isnt it. Its a shame really as it really could have been something epic. An on-rails themepark for the first 30 levels, then it opens up to more sandbox type planets, with the crafting based on SWG - would have blown other MMOs away.
  8. funny arguments on this page... "i hope people leave the game so i can get on with it"... so you like playing a mmo without other people around? weird argument also to those saying wow had less at release... yes, true - but wow was playing against EQ2 and comfortably blown it out of the water. has swtor blown any mmo out of the water? errr no, not by a long shot i know alot of people who re-subbed back to SWG after WoWs release because they preferred the sandbox feeling... then they tried to turn it into a wow clone.... when will devs realise you cant beat wow at there own game, innovate a bit
  9. 6/10 Levelling - Its pretty much a click grind fest. Kill a bazillion mobs on the way into cave/dungeon, kill the same amount on way out. Voice acting gets irratable after a while, as do loading screens. Oh and lots of walking/speeder travel. Yawn. 2/10 PVP - Just a stun fest joke. Really not much to enjoy here (Im even not talking into account Ilum) 5/10 Endgame - Flashpoints are just so bad its untrue. Adding an enrage timer does not make the boss more interesting. Fact. 4/10 Social/MMO - Not really much scope for social/role playing in this game, and crafting if just the biggest pile of turd ever. 8/10 IP - Being in a star wars universe is cooooool.
  10. Trouble is when WoW come out it absolutely owned everyone else. It had alot more than most other games, and was very much fun to play. It felt epic. If you release a WoW clone now, today, launch or not then your gonna have to blow it out the water. Swtor devs think voice overs and storyline did just that. Most people I know playing the game disagreed. This is a mediocre game, nothing more, nothing less. If you love it, think its the best game ever, then fair play to you - go login and enjoy yourself. But dont come here telling me this game would have blown WoW out of the water 7 years ago, because it wouldnt.
  11. the users rating the game 10 on metacritic are sooooo obviously swtor devs its unbelievable. really go read some of them, they could be straight from the marketing department.... one such quote "pvp is finely balanced and plays really well" - hahaha, classic...
  12. hehe lovely nerd rage... the reason people keep comparing it to wow is two-fold. 1 - most people have played wow, even if you havent. 2 - this game copied wow in virtually every aspect so yeah, get used to the comparisons
  13. Yep I dont buy into that dogma "if someones complaining they must be a child". And even if they were (which they probably arent) why cant a child have a complaint? Money on the game probably means more to them.
  14. I cant see this game dying anytime soon. Its gonna struggle along with a medium amount of subs, with the haters saying its the worst game ever (it isnt) and the fanbois saying its the best (it definetly isnt). Its not the game for me though. The 'grind' just doesnt seem fun, especially with all those loading screens, and feeling kettled into an area. The PvP is one of the worst ever, so imbalanced its unbelievable. And the main things I like doing (dungeons and crafting) are really boring in this game. Im not a hater though, just feel a bit ripped off, could have spent my money on something else.
  15. frak me take those rose tinted glasses off... -quests you cant delete from your log -ability delay -hi res textures not playable -pvp severly broken (both on ilum, and some op classes) -boring quests, just plowing throw hundreds of mobs -endless loading screens getting to planets (space stations go away) -endless riding round on your speeder -instances/sharding -no freedom to roam, anywhere -lifeless world -no lfg tool, stand round fleet spamming for hours -warzones (lack of choice, getting kicked whilst loading into a game, afk'ers, cant rejoin after a disconnect) -lack of roleplaying, cant even sit in chairs -lack of guild facilities -crafting a waste of time, and no user inputs/variables should have made kotor3, not this abomination of an MMO (if you can call it that). Seriously, everyone copying WoW is harming the mmo community. They should be ashamed of themselves spending xxx Millions on this dog ****. Other than the storyline/voice acting this game has taken the MMO industry backwards.
