  1. I did it as a healing spec op with Vector. Super easy healing him and using line of site. Took a while though.
  2. I was wondering which of these two are superior for a concealment op? I pvp exclusively and am wondering what people's experience is with allocating the final 10 skill points. Clearly the extra 9% cunning and 3% crit is a no brainer. 8% increase on shiv seems like another easy choice. I'm torn over what to do with the final two points. On a side note, I've seen quite a few operatives around on my server (Jung Ma) lately. I think people are realizing that even with the nerfs, this is one of the most fun classes to play. I have a lvl 50 vanguard and a lvl 45 sentinel and neither of them are anywhere nearly as fun to play as my op. Having said that, I've heard things are a bit grim once you hit 50.....
  3. Thanks for taking the time to put that together. Very helpful indeed.
  4. It's a real shame. Instead of competing with GW2 by offering a better product, they're throwing their dwindling resources behind this free to play garbage. The thing is, I really like this game. If they fixed pvp class balance and added a few extra WZs I would definitely stay. As it is, GW2 (which I swore I wouldn't play) is looking increasingly appealing.,,,
  5. In game voice chat so PUGs might actually have a chance against premades.
  6. Lethality spec feels awkward with the reliance on shiv (4m) for TA. This forces the spec into melee without giving it any other melee advantages (gap closer, improved stealth, useful defensive CDs, etc). The only other option is to go up another tree (kolto probe) to get a ranged TA, which is hardly ideal. I can think of two possible solutions. 1. A high tier lethality talent that enables corrosive dart ticks to proc TA (similar to KP). Around 30% would be fair. 2.Alternatively, give overload shot a high tier talent that gives it a 50-75% chance of granting TA. To prevent spamming you could put this ability on a 6-8sec cool down. My main is an assault vanguard (pyrotech). The class is a pleasure to play as the DOTs are easy to apply and have a 30m and 10m range. The nuke is 30m though needs either a 4m or 10m to reset its cool down. It means you can seamlessly go ranged to melee and back again, and always have an attack to use. This is how a lethality op should feel. At the moment, it just doesn't feel very fun. Edit. The pre-empt the "Pyro is overpowered" backlash. Yeah, it feels overpowered against the weak classes for sure but against maras, juggs, snipers and assassins it feels fair. It's operatives (and mercs) that are underpowered.
  7. I checked post maintenance. Still not fixed.
  8. Disagree with OP. I hit 50 on my assault vanguard two weeks ago today. Two days later my wife had our first baby, so I have hardly been having extended play sessions. Nonetheless, I've got full eliminator BM armour and just need the earpiece, second implant , relics and generator. In that time, the sense of progression has been awesome. At first, I was getting killed in 3 gcd in recruit gear. Every piece of BM gear felt like it made a difference. Now, I'm winning most 1v1 and having heaps of fun. I look forward to getting the WH gear and melting face. MMOs are about progression IMHO. That's why we play them. If you want a game with pure balanced classes that relies purely on skill, go and play Team Fortess 2.
  9. Thanks for the feedback guys. Glad I asked. I'll spec back to full dps immediately. Only thing I'll add is that interrupts seem to work against merc's tracer missile and cast time heals. Doesn't do any thing against lightning sorcs or the warrior channeled attack (master strike). Do any of you know where I could find a list of the uninterruptable channeled abilities?
  10. Anyone else running this spec (courtesy of Omegix/Taugrim)? http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#801bMZMsMrZfhrbdhhM.1 I tried a similar spec today (swapped parallactic combat stims for rapid recharge). Seems pretty good. Slightly less dps and no assault plastique seem a reasonable trade off for more utility (particularly 6sec interupt, though shorter CDs on harpoon and cryo grenade are also useful). Anyone tried it and didn't like it? I should mention that I pvp exclusively. _____________________________________________________ Apone - Level 50 Vanguard - Master Dar'Nala
  11. Agree with Taugrim. Increase rewards for losers and nerf damage. Post 1.2 PVP isn't anywhere near as fun as pre 1.2.
