  1. It took my group about 1-2h to clear a Hardmode flashpoint, and it was an okay group. It took my operation group 1-2h to clear normal EV. (5 columi drops). To be honest it's the flashpoints which are useless, not the other way around.
  2. I do agree that there should be something for the casuals players. But there should also be some kind of reward for the hard working Hardcore gamers. And at the moment this is not the case, this is a game solely just for casuals, as gearing is such an easy thing. I wouldn't have minded actually putting a little effort in to the whole gearing thing, but I didn't have to. Everybody seem to have either full columi or rakata after a week or two due to the easy endgame content which is offered. Also what's the point of running hardmode flashpoints? It takes about 1hour to do a HM flashpoint if run very quickly, can probably be done a bit faster (1 columi piece). Anyways Eternity vault which drops more (5 columi pieces total plus exotech gear) takes approx. 1 hour with a pug (without SOA). It's just wrong.. It's so easy to get gear. Well hopefully they'll fix the difficulties of the next operation tier.
  3. If that happens, try and go out of stealth and put your companion to "passive" and then just proc a heal. Sometimes your companion wants to go attack the mobs as you've taken damage when proccing disappearing act.
  4. EV normal doesn't need you to bring geared people. It's easily doable with 8 level 50's as the instance is made for that purpose. But as a side note, if those 4 "nabs" really don't know how to use their abilities, moving out of AE etc. then ye, you're right - we can now carry people through
  5. My point was just to post it as someone said it hadn't been done with 20-man in classic wow. Anyways I understand that EV is possible to solo 4 man in full rakata or even columi when you know the fight and have experience - it's intended for people who just got to 50. I like the idea, but sadly.. Makes HM fps kinda useless when EV is so fast to clear.
  6. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SJVC6Cj8fcw Onyxia being 4-manned in classic wow. All lvl 60.
  7. Please teach me to enter HM ops/fps with 60+ people.
  8. Regarding the esseles one shot kill, you need to interrupt hes Headshot ability - or whatever it's called. Easy FPs: The false emperor (ilum), The maelstrom prison (Fleet), Directive 7 (fleet) Medium hard: Esseles (1. & 2. can be a problem, rest is a walk in the park), taral V, kaon under siege Hard: In my opinion Battle of ilum is the hardest UNLESS you have ranged tank/dps - else make sure your dps does not hit him when he shields. All FPs can be done with low gear if people know what they're doing.
  9. Yes you need a tank for this, but you can switch him out after. For the other one who commented about Mind traps - no a tank does not become mind trapped normally in second phase, only in start of phase 3. Anyways it shouldn't be necesarry to bring an off tank for SOA even if a tank was mind trapped in phase 2, as all damage on SOA is mostly from lightning balls (which some people have a huge problem with..).
  10. There's no need to split into two groups, and when you "have" to that phase is when you drop from plateforms to kill cells - there's nothing to tank here. You shouldn't need to bring a secondary tank, and you can also just jump on the platforms in a grp. TO OP: If you've got a smart dps which can taunt, get him to taunt SOA - he won't take much damage in phase 3, not even on HM (the only one where I haven't seen damage from NM). But I second this - I hate those SOA bugs..
  11. We've started using free for all, which is really great. Click an item and everyone has to roll on it afterwards - makes it easy.
  12. Hi everyone, I know that gearing up at the current state maybe aren't hard, anyhow I have a suggestion for Nightmare as I hear a lot of people who can't be arsed to do it, because Hard mode drops Rakata aswell (I'm not against that, I think it's fine). Suggestion: When defeating a boss on Nightmare Difficulty it should drop Rakata commendations - this way if you needed your last piece, which just don't seem to drop you could buy it from these. This way Nightmare actually provides just that tiny bit more than Hard Mode. This also means people can acquire the right mods/enchancements from extra rakata pieces to become even better. I know that Nightmare have a bigger chance of Rakata. What do you think? Feel free to comment.
  13. Maelstrom prison -> Easy Taral V -> Almost everything easy but the bonus boss The flase emperor -> Easy Esseles -> Two first bosses is a bit tough - but if good players you can do it with low gear. Battle for Ilum -> If you have ranged dps and tank it's easy, if melee make sure they don't hit the shield of the second or third boss (anyone who knows more specific can support me ). Directive 7 -> Hard Kaon undersiege -> haven't tried it yet.
  14. How to explain this. When you say you got sith assassin gear I assume you got something with willpower and for example accuracy on it as that's one of their most used stats. And if that's the case, yes you can easily use it if it's better than your current. All you would have to do is remod it if possible, if not - check the stats to see if it improves more, if then of course you can use it.
  15. I'm wondering about this aswell. It does bug sometimes though, and everytime you kill a spike he doesn't loose a stack - if this happens everyone get out of the operation and reset phase.
  16. - Underworld Medicine - Slow-Release Medpac - Emergency medpac (instant cast after UWM - great for big heals) - Kolto Cloud - Diagnostic scan (using to recover energy after Kolto Cloud) 5 heals is what I'm using with smuggler. Anyways the Smuggler and Commando feels a lot a like. Tried both @ 50 with good gear - a lot the same, but I prefer Smuggler. But I agree mostly with Coolcutter Scoundrel/Operative: Druid/pally HoT and big heals Commando/Mercenary: Paladin/some druid to it with the AE hot Sage/Sorcerer: Priest Go with any of them. They're all fun to play, if I had to suggest one to you now it would be sage/sorcerer as they got shield + a nice AE heal.
  17. There's no way to reset your advanced class. 1-10 is pretty fast so if you really want a scoundrel reroll now . There is a skill mentor I think his called on the fleet which resets your skills. I'm not certain if that's the name, else google it
  18. You can spec so that underworld medicine grants one when casted. Also Slow release medpacs can grant one, once every 10s. But unless you're Sawbones I don't think there are many more abilities. So to sum up: - Blaster whip (low lvl) - Shoot first (Engage move, can't remember lvl) - UWM - SMR
  19. Hi there! I'm a level 50 Scoundrel Sawbones. So I can give you a little information. Your heals: Kolto Cloud (AoE HoT heal - up to 4 targets) Slow release medpac (HoT heal - stacks up to 2 times) Underworld medicine (Casted heal - strong costs 25 energy) Emergency Medpac (Instant heal - exploits upper hand which is granted from UWM) So I do ops, and my main focus is to keep the HoT heal on main tank and heal the raid by Kolto Cloud and Underworld medicine and Emergency medpac. It's fairly easy healing just keep in mind you gotta control your heals as you be using energy really fast if you don't. There's a diagnostic scan you can spec into (I did) to regain energy when used. Well I don't want to make a bigger post about it. To round up the Scoundrel healing is fun, sometimes I do wish I was a Sage though due to their bubble . Anyways I think it's the class which is closest to Druid with some paladin aswell.
  20. I don't find it useless at all. If you have 10000 hp and was dropped to 6000 (lets just assume) - popping it would heal you for 4000 (assume) - now you're back to the 10000 + 15% extra health for 20 seconds - that's a heal of 5500. So to be honest, I don't see your problem - not to mention that the medpac was kinda OP before, and still gives you a great advantage in pvp.
  21. Sadly, no I don't think so :/ It sucks as it sounds like your regular raiders don't need the gear, GL with the gear assignment though - hope it'll be given to the newcomers.
  22. Lol? Hmm I guess you didn't invest much time in the addon Gearscore (WHICH I DIDN'T LIKE, and never hope to be implemented in SWtor) nor Dps meters. These two things has absolutely NOTHING to do with you changing the game. It's simply an analyzing tool, and I hope they'll implement it. I know it sucks to be someone who does less damage, but I wouldn't mind being told what I did wrong, then I'd have a change to correct my self. And of course some people will use it to PR their big EPEENs, well who cares about these 13 years old anyways these days? I vote for some kind of DPS/healing/threat meters to help people be better. As suggested maybe only the leader should have access to those stats. This way all you whiners here wouldn't have a problem with it, as it wouldn't be game changer. I agree with the whiners and will be a whiner about mods such as DBM in wow - that just ruins the whole thing about raiding, so does heal bot and other addons. My opinion: Meters, UI changing addons are fine - but something that keep track of cooldowns and when to move out of AoE etc. are a no go.
  23. 1. Orange gear can be modded with: - Enchancement - Armoring - Mod Purple gear (Epic so to speak) can be modded with: - Enchancement - Mod 2. For flashpoints, you can clear the 7 HMs, which have a day "lockout" our cooldown as I call it. Operations are resetted every Tuesday, and you may clear Normal + Hardmode/nightmare once. 3. I did healing when I just got to 50 with no problem. But if you keep doing dailies and maybe The false emperor + Battle (Normal modes= on ilum you could gather some gear. Else I recommend you to do these: The False Emperor Maelstrom Prison Taral V These are pretty easy HMs. Just skip the hard bonus bosses. 4. For gearing check answer 3. Armoring and Mod can be acquired from Dailies on belsavis, a Heroic +2 quest which gives the mod and a heroic 4 quest which gives armoring. Enchancement is acquired on Ilum daily: Darkness on ilum. (Heroic +2). They are all BoE so you can might buy some at GTM - where you can also buy some good gear for the credits you got (I did this as you can easily buy nice implants and earpieces). Hope this information helped - further questions, just give me a PM
  24. In PvE you sometimes after popping disappearing act get stuck with combat. This problem is caused by your companion which has suffered damage when popping it or yourself from a dot. If this happens I usually just still run away and pop a heal or something, and then put companion on passive - then it'll exit combat. If it's dot related to PvP I have no fix sorry. But in PvE it's almost always due to your companion wanting to engage combat again and all you got to do is put him on passive and that should fix it (you have to throw a heal on him or yourself to disengage combat though).
