  1. Thank you very much. I was about to permanently uninstall SWTOR.
  2. The first time the game loaded after the patch it worked. All subsequent loads go to Quick Play at the player select screen. Deleting the .xfr files under the bitraider folder and reloading the game fixes it after it verifies. That solution only fixes if for the next time the game loads. I also made a bug report.
  3. One thing to consider, perhaps Kylo Ren was not telling the truth. If her parents were nobodies that sold her for drinking money and died and buried on Jakku, why was she crying as the ship flew away after she was left with the junk dealer there? Presumably, one or both of her parents were on that ship. Just a thought.
  4. Bated is correct, short for abated. It is usually good to understand the correction before making it. Of course if your breath is really cheesy you could use it to catch mice...that would be baited :-)
  5. Not only did Palpatine say in episode two the Republic in its current form was 1000 years old (see above), but Obi-Wan implied it may have been somewhat stable longer: "For over a thousand generations the Jedi Knights were the guardians of peace and justice in the Old Republic Before the dark times before the Empire.". If you take that at face value SWTOR would fit into the movie continuity if the Republic eventually removes the Sith threat. That is not to say the war could not have been bloody or protracted, merely that a version of the Republic won.
  6. It sounds like it is only a database tracking event that is limited to tracking only the current set of character milestones. I suspect after hitting LS/DS V they may not even track those points anymore. I would love to sign it, but I don't think they will do the work to track anything beyond what they already track.
  7. It seems to me that the people already doing the content necessary for the highest level achievements in the event will still be doing it. The people that aren't doing that level of content will still be in the same boat. Those not motivated obviously will not do it regardless, but those that don't have a good route to the higher levels of the game still won't for the same reasons they have now. It would be nice to see some way to tie community efforts in helping new players, and those players with characters gathering dust at some lower level, to get involved in the game and finish content. But they created two blocks for those players in the middle ground that have not finished content: 1) they have to start over to qualify and 2) the players that are involved and knowledgeable have to start over. From some of the comments I have seen so far these could be some tough stumbling blocks to overcome. I think the casual player that has hit, as an example, level 35 may not be greatly motivated to start over. Of course YMMV. I think those already doing the content that would qualify for the event rewards will do it. Those that are not doing it probably still won't. There is a reward, but accessibility may be more of an issue.
  8. Ooooo, look who knows so much. It just so happens this thread is only MOSTLY dead. There’s a big difference between mostly dead, and all dead.
  9. Next month, the UNSTABLE Defiant Vented Dualsaber and UNSTABLE Defiant Vented Lightsaber.
  10. But not in any of the movies, which was his point reference inquisitors and Jedi during the rebellion era. His argument was if they weren't in the movies they don't exist in post episode IV reality. Maul was never mentioned in the movies after his death. By his rationale, Maul should not be revived. Maul being mentioned anywhere else doesn't enter into it. It's a type of hypocrisy that seems disingenuous. I think there is plenty of story space in the galaxy. If Maul is alive there is no reason for inquisitors and Jedi to make it past episode IV and beyond.
  11. Filoni seems to want to have his cake and eat it too reference things like the inquisitors. On the one hand, he wants to kill them off because they were never mentioned in episodes IV, V, and VI; yet is happy to add a living Darth Maul even though I have found no mention of him as alive after episode I. I would suggest the galaxy is a much larger place than can be recounted in 6+ (for inquisitors and Jedi). There is no reason inquisitors or Jedi could have survived into episode IV and beyond. They simply were not involved/known to the key players and events from the movies...so far. I also go back to the idea that there was always a first Jedi. By that I mean if someone figured it out without the existence of an order the first time, someone can do it again. It comes down to, if Maul can exist past episode I there is no reason there cannot be inquisitors and Jedi into the rebellion era and beyond.
  12. I had more of a body type 1, possibly a hint of mange and random exclamations of "ack, pfft, or thbfft". Bill and Opus for POSTUS. Bring back two spaces after the period.
  13. There is something wrong. It almost sounds, you know, unstable. In all seriousness I actually believe it enhances the unstable moniker.
