  1. Exactly. There's not a whole lot you can do about the fighters, they're coming towards you and thus have a free shot at the shuttle before you can do anything. You can however, blast the turrets off the cruisers so they can't do much. I know the point in reference, it's just after going thru a narrow passage between 2 large asteroids...the shuttle gets absolutely hammered coming out the other end because it flies first and runs into all those oncoming fighters.
  2. OP has it backwards, the wiki follows the lore, the lore doesn't follow the wiki. How boring would it be if all the planets we have are ones we already heard of from the movies. They're already pushing it by adding planets in the game like Hoth and Tatooine that are supposed to be backwaters that no one has heard of or cares about, just because we saw them in the movies. Many of the planets in Kotor were also made up for that game, remember.
  3. I would absolutely love this idea, IF they do it right! What they should do is implement the crafting system of SWG where the best gear was all player crafted. Top of the line gear would be socketed, and then raid bosses would drop the very best in mods for those sockets. And some gear that wouldn't be crafted could also drop, like bracers and a few others, so that there would still be a purpose to raiding. It would be pure win...sandbox crafting plus themepark raiding...why didn't they think of this? At least it can still be done in the future, do it Bioware!
  4. Will try that, ty. Edit. It worked!! Mad props!
  5. Wish I could. I'm only using a Logitech MX1000 laser with latest drivers, so it would be nice to be able to.
  6. Seriously, I thought I was the ONLY one with this issue! I would love to keybind mouse button 4 to toggle autorun, but the game doesn't recognize any of my mouse buttons besides left/right click and scroll wheel.
  7. Always thought of giving EVE a try. Is it decent for beginners? Also, I will keep subbing but I concur with the gentleman a few posts above about the loading screens, load time, etc. It's too much and too long and if you have a top of the line PC just to tolerate it, that defeats the purpose of having an MMO if you expect everyone to buy a brand new pc just to play it.
  8. If I had a nickel for every 'lvl 50' on game forums bashing this game in 100 posts a day, I could make my own MMO.
  9. The ability delay is definitely real. Just watch your gcds, if the gcd is finished, you should be able to execute another ability. Sometimes you can't, because your toon is not finished animating the previous one. This seems to be much more noticeable in faster paced combat - I don't run into it much just tooling around solo killing stuff, but definitely do in flashpoints.
  10. Also, why is it we have to go to the ship or cantina to talk? They pulled that right out of Dragon Age. If you want to talk, then talk.
  11. Oh now you've done it...see, you can't say stuff like this, it pisses fanbois off immensely. It's so easy to take potshots at other games but when it comes to the 'other game', you're not allowed to look at the man behind the curtain. They really hate when you point this stuff out. And I say this as someone who loves playing this game and will also buy MoP.
  12. I know I definitely need to upgrade my rig...or even get a new one..because my load times are absolutely atrocious. The kicker tho, is that my same rig loads WoW in half the time, even loaded down with addons. This game feels like bloatware in comparison. So I know I have things to fix, but I'm thinking so does Bioware.
  13. Infinitely? Well lol not sure about that, but yeah at least up until Vashjr/Hyjal, you have a choice where to level up, something this game really should have, especially with 14 planets/50 levels. Not sure why they didn't put in parallel paths, hell you can't even do all the quests on each planet or you will completely outlevel a planet in short order. So yeah, Bioware please keep this in mind for the future and allow alternate/parallel paths. Lastly, on an unrelated note, someone was saying with a straight face here yesterday that WoW was a sandbox mmo...
  14. Good to know. I saw that Mako wanted to talk to me on the ship, so I went there and it was Gault, so I guess I hit a bug but a cantina will be easier to accomodate usually.
  15. I agree with the OP, but in the sense that those are things I want added in the game. I'm not mad they're not in there now, but I do hope what's in the game now is a base to be expanded upon to eventually allow those things ie, free flight, group missions, etc. JTL wasn't in SWG at first either, so I wouldn't expect these ideas to be fully realized until an expansion, until then, keep improving what's there please.
  16. Whoever said Wow is sandbox is horribly, horribly wrong. It's the most preeminent ThemePark MMO in the world at the moment. The content is provided by Blizzard, you choose to play it or you don't, you can't create your own. Everything from pvp, crafting and end game raiding is done per Blizzard created content. It's as far as you get from sandbox. The sandbox MMOs are EVE, SWG, and UO.
  17. Neutral gear is a good idea. Neutral gameplay is a good idea. It worked in KotoR, it should be in this game.
  18. This. In fact, in Cata there aren't any group quests at all...or I don't remember a single one. Here, there are tons of group quests and General is constantly full of people trying to form groups. Serious, serious disconnect in logic here. I will say the instancing idea might be an issue, but then again, people would probably complain about too many people, lag, and not enough mobs to kill because they're all being camped.
  19. I agree with this. Lose the orbital stations, they serve no purpose other than to add more loading zones to situations where we already have them. I love the game so far, and this is one constructive idea they should implement.
