  1. it also stacks if you do the emote a lot it gets progressively louder
  2. No, they've already stated the issue with hi-res textures in game is most pcs can't handle that many draw calls and maintain a playable state. They are not going to charge and enrage their entire community to charge for something that only 10% of their subscribers can use and only 10% of those would buy.
  3. For real! How dare they try to fix some of the bugs people are complaining about! If you fix too many bugs I'll have to work harder to find something to complain about! I don't pay you good money to have to think that hard! Rabble! Rabble! Rabble!
  4. "That patch is worthless unless you are doing flashpoints/operations" ***. isn't that like "that patch is worthless unless you are playing the game."? Just because you choose not to do something doesn't make it any less important to others. I like PvP. so I think they shouldn't fix pve content. Especially solo content, because I like to group with my guild. It has already been established that this game is in better shape than many othe mmos at launch, it's way beyond beta. if having bugs means it's in beta, there isn't an MMO in existence that's not still in beta. For some one that says "if you don't have anything positive to say..." maybe you should follow your own instructions.
  5. yeah magenta is NOT purple. though there have to be purple crystals as well. I know there are pvp sabers with purple blades
  6. So it should be impossible for a jedi, say maybe Anakin to fall to the dark side? it should also be equally impossible for A sith like Vader to be redeemed? That's not even to get into the error of philosophy that darkside=bad/lightside=good. because we all know emotions like love, sorrow and righteous outrage (which are dangerous to jedi and considered paths to the darkside) are all evil. back to the point they said in beta they wanted to add neutral gear. but who knows how long it will take. My BH is very neutral by Roleplaying a mercenary attitude. if you want to pay me more to do good, sure. if capturing a person alive pays better, that's what I'll do.
  7. Well that was what I was saying before, they would have to put up a whole new set of login and authentication servers, otherwise whoever get's patched second would get an invalid version error. Which is why you would then have problems with EU people that are using EU login servers not being able to connect to NA and vice versa. Of course this can be gotten around as well by being able to choose your login server as well. this opens up for some people having more problems, but it could be overcome. I'm not saying it's impossible, just that I don't think they will think it worth the time or cost to set up. While it is definitely an inconvenient time it still isn't "peak hours" in Eu which was really their only concern. Like I said while I'm in the US I play mostly in the middle of the night, so I feel your pain. Although it's easier for me to understand loosing service in the middle of the night.
  8. Splitting won't happen, it means NA gets told they can't play with their EU friends, and vice versa. And where would that leave Oceanic, a third group that can't play with either NA or EU? there would be even more outrage. While I totally understand how frustrating it must be (Most of my playing is this time of day, or night rather, as well) it would cause more problems then it would solve. On the upside almost all of their "8 hour" maintenances have only been a couple hours long
  9. No, you would then have to different versions of the game out, requiring sepearate login and validation servers. also you would have the Americans rush the Eu servers during US maintenance, making lag unbearable. and Vice Versa when the EU servers went down.
  10. Yeah I had amazingly high hopes for Tabula Rasa, and while it was very good in some respects it just didn't deliver in some of the things I really enjoy. Which is a shame. On the upside SWTOR could lose 3/4 of it's subscribers (which won't happen) and still have more than enough subscribers to support it.
  11. QFTW While I do agree with the OP in that there are lots of things that could be added to improve the game (and probably will be at some point) If you don't like fairly linear hub based questing, I wouldn't recommend playing Bioware games. MMO or not, that is what they have always dome amazingly well. There are lots of concerns about Dragon Age 3 because they are talking about making it more open world. That's something Bioware just doesn't have much experience with and has yet to prove themselves on. Story Driven, hub based gaming is exactly what they deliver amazingly well, and it's exactly what you've gotten so far in SWTOR.
  12. Tabula Rasa had dynamic regions where the flow of missions and combat would completely change a region, quests would become more difficult do to an increase in enemies, or become completely unavailable when a region's control was taken by the opposing faction and their NPCs would take the zone and yours would retreat to a different area.
  13. and all this time I thought WoW was an MMO. boy do I feel stupid now
  14. Yeah I had zero problem with any fight in Number One with a Bullet as a Powertech Tank, I can't even remember the fight you mean because it didn't cause me any problem at all. The 2 Supplymaster's on the other hand, sucked a lot. I wound up running past them and dying, because after 10 minutes of fighting all of us were still at 100% health
  15. Same problem as a powertech tank. I fought for almost 10 minutes, I was still at 100% but so were they. I could have fought for hours with no change. my only option was o run past them, put my healer companion on passive and intentionally let them kill me and respawn past them. and yes 1 good cc would fix the problem, unless you're a class with no cc long enough.
