  1. This has been happening to me lately as well. Zoning into stronghold, fleet, instance etc will activate rocket boots. Maybe related to the other bug of losing buffs while zoning.
  2. I send them all to a alt and put them in the bank organized by type and class. I vendor any duplicates. I have full sets of most of them now, but still missing a few pieces here and there. I have used several of the sets for outfits on various characters and also use them to trade armorings, mods, and enhancments between characters. Most of the sets are pretty ugly, but a few are nice.
  3. It seems with the new system, the best thing is just to disintegrate everything until rank 180 when rank 3 items can start dropping, with the possible exception of lower tiers of the set piece gear. Is there anything else worth keeping? Just curious what others are doing. Gz
  4. I was having a lot of problems with this also on my Commando. It seemed only my explosive round was actually working to blow up the barrels, and had all the other issues as already discussed. Finally figured out that AOE abilities work almost every time and have less issues with LOS, "target not found", etc. Using only AOE abilities (no cool down on commando) I was able to finish pretty easily.
  5. I saw the promotion in my startup screen, but have not received the cartel coins.
  6. That is actually a pretty decent drop rate. Slug will go for a lot on the GTN, Vectron mount also. The 31 chance cubes will sell for 300k+ apiece on the GTN if you don't open them. That brings in $9.3m credits to buy things you want that didn't drop.
  7. One of the good things about that chance cubes that I didn't anticipate is that they sell for about 50% of the price of a pack on the GTN. If you don't want old items, you can just sell the chance cubes and buy more packs. In the end you will get about 60 items from the new pack - just like before the change although you get quite a few more gifts and jawa junk. I agree with prior poster that the "gold" drop rate does seem too low. That is more frustrating for me than anything else. Given that, I don't have a problem with the current system as long as the value of the chance cubes on the GTN doesn't fall through the floor after a few more pack releases. I will continue to buy packs as long as I like the items in them (Disavowed pack looks pretty crap, so will probably sit this one out).
  8. So, they have gotten feedback that people really like the "Grand Packs", and the first thing they do is remove them from the game and replace them with something much worse /boggle
  9. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=864341 No date given for return of the BSG packs.
  10. Everquest got much easier as the expansions rolled out. Kunark was super easy compared to pre-expansion, and each expansion after that added various QOL items. End game before the level cap increase with Kunark was also insanely difficult. I recall spending 8 solid hours just helping a friends guild recover from a wipe in the plane of fear (back when you had to physically loot your corpse or lose all of your stuff). Later they added things like corpse pull etc to make risk taking much more trivial. After that I walked to school 6 miles in the snow without shoes.
  11. Just ran into this today. Still broken, at least for me.
  12. So I took a bit of a break after finishing KOTFE and I had done the first star fortress quest up until the last flashpoint. I have a quest that says to do Star Fortress Alderan - Speaker to Major Alder. When I go to him he has the green quest marker. I speak to him and get the solo quest for the Alderan star fortress. After getting the quest it shows 3 quests, the original quest is still there and 2 new quests for completing the alteran star fortress/ 2nd one for solo mode. After completing the flashpoint, I receive the reward for the 2nd 2 quests, but the original quest is still in my log and I didn't get the reward of the 4 alliance boxes. Is the heroic version required, or is there some sort of bug? Any help appreciated.
  13. I started a new inquisitor and had a gift giving session for my Khem and Treek. When I look at the influence for Khem the display is something like 25342/3900. The second number seems to increase as I finish story missions. On the alliance display it shows L15. For Treek it shows 25342/250000. Is Khem not getting full bonus on crafting missions? Combat effectiveness?
  14. Since the engine doesn't allow hair to show with helmets, how about make some helmet/hat models that have hair as part of the hat? Just take a cowboy hat or fedora and replace the ugly facewrap with hair. You could even sell multiple versions with different hairstyles. I would pay 1500CC+ in a heartbeat if it was well done.
  15. Lana wouldn't gather for me in the KOTFE story (tried to scavenge a droid). The tooltip (scavenge 500) and gathering icon came up as normal, but nothing happens when I click.
  16. I had the same problem during a field respec. On my ship it would not let me commit utility points. After zoning to my Stronghold it worked without any problems.
  17. I couldn't believe it. It is just a poorly dyed Troublemaker's duster. Not a single detail updated as far as I can other than the (ugly) color. No effort whatsoever on a supposedly "unique" item.
  18. Anyone have any idea how long it takes/how many L60s characters it takes to get to Legacy 40? Does each level take more an more xp? I am currently Legacy level 21, and plan to level 3-4 more characters to 55 or 60 before the 12xp event is over. If that gets me to Legacy 40 I would rather just wait and pay the $1m instead of using CC. If not I would buy now on sale as I would like to get Treek (regardless of the upcoming changes).
  19. The item to purchase is called "Mercenary Contract" and for some odd reason is in the "Cosmetics" category.
  20. There are some "basic male trunks" you can get from the esstran exports reputation vendor on the cartel bazaar. Dye them whatever color you want. These can only be equipped by males. http://tor-fashion.com/basic-mens-trunks/

  22. Doing the class missions only is fastest. If you want a semi-compromise that gives you a fuller background story without much extra time, each planet has a main storyline that usually starts with a quest giver in the Spaceport or just right outside. If you do just that quest line along with the class quest, it follows the locations of your class quest pretty closely and doesn't take much extra time. The rewards for the main quest are usually decent (comms, orange gear, etc). Going this route gives you the full planetary story as well as the class mission. For me is a lot more entertaining.
  23. As a subscriber you should get two boxes in your mailbox with full sets of orange/adaptive armor them. They are called flight suits but are just as good as any other armor (except they are kindof ugly). If you didn't get them, if you create a new character and transfer the sets you get to your main character through the legacy cargo bay. I am not sure how it works if you subscribe after creating a new character. They don't come with any mods in them, but you can add mods to them as you get basic comms. Mods cost 2 basic comms each. You will be getting them 12 at a time from some of the class missions. Also if you want more basic comms quickly, use the priority mission terminal at fleet to get daily quests for flashpoints and the "introduction to group finder" quest. Use group finder to join a group for the flash points. Running those will get you 20-40 basic comms depending on which daily rewards you are eligible for. The flashpoints mostly only take about 30 minutes so it is a quick way to catch up on comms, plus they can be a lot of fun. Good luck!
