And you parsed 4700~? Did you use Adrenals and Inspiration for that?

It's not as bad as you make it out to be. At least 23-25% of Concentration's Damage comes from automatic critical strikes. He's probably only losing 3-5% DPS by stacking Surge and has better burst.

That's not an "amazing" parse for that gear level. I've hit 4150~ with lower stats, stacking pure Alacrity.

20% vs 25% Crit is going to be a pretty minor difference in Focus generation.

As far as stats go. 1) Crit is very low in value. Zen gives 100% crit rate on DoTs, which make up very large portion of our damage, thus rendering crit literally useless frequently. 2) Surge is actually on par with Alacrity. Our DoTs crit so frequently 40-50%, that Surge has a very high return.

1) Searing Saber has been nerfed from 30% Surge bonus to 5%. Return it to its original 30%. 2) Bring back Cauterize on 15 sec CD, 6 second duration and the old Mind Sear (Slash, Merciless Slash, Dispatch can reset the CD on Cauterize). 3) Change Force Melt to a shorter duration (say 6-9 seconds) and give it a 12-15 second CD. 4) Bring back Precision SLASH with a 4.5 second window. 5) Increase Blade Rush's damage to bring Combat in line with other specs. 6) Increase Heightened Power from 5% to 9%.

By pressing CB+Precision at the same time or Precision+Dispatch I'm able to fit 3 Abilities into the Precision window (with no bonus Alacrity), this includes a Zen Master Strike, but at the cost of 1-2~ APM. Is it worth it for the extra ability in Precision? Granted, it doesn't work perfectly every time. Also, Combat is parsing lower for me than even Concentration (best parses on 1mil are 4350~ Watchman, 4150~ Concentration, 3900~ Combat). Is Concentration just horribly underrated or do I simply suck at Combat? Log examples

I'm hitting as high as 4060 stacking Alacrity with Oofalong's rotation. Crit and surge are dump stats imo.

Combat being viable again would make my *********** life. That and Watchman being fixed. Only specs I played before 3.0 sigh.

I'd gear it the same as Combat. Surge or Accuracy Enhancements, Power or Strength Augments.

Well I've managed to do around 3900 with this Combat rotation compared to 4250~ as Watchman. No experience playing combat effectively prior to it and only hitting around 52 APM with 8.25% Alacrity. Guide says you should be doing 50 APM with 3%, so I think I'm off by 1-2 APM.

I think I figured out why Dispatch wasn't proccing...only 99.97% accuracy...bleh MY bad. Gonna try this again. The infinite rotation STILL isn't proccing the second Dispatch on the second cycle. P > Disp > CB > BR > BR > no Dispatch?!

Your rotation doesn't work with high Alacrity. Dispatch won't proc correctly.

I'll try it out and see how it is comparable to Watchmen for me.

It's funny because 1) no one else is even close as combat 2) that spec is still miles behind the top performers. Combat needs buffs to compete.

Force Valor (5% strength) is the Consular buff. Our buff is +5% damage. I don't have a 50 Consular/Shadow so I don't always have that buff up. Managed to push it up to 4200 DPS with that buff. So pretty close to what your model is suggesting. At this point I just need to improve my gear. I've come to the conclusion that Alacrity = Power as far stat values go. They come out equal in your model, but that doesn't consider the increased uptime of Zen.
