BioWare never said that chat bubbles are not happening. However, any update from BioWare to put this issue to rest would be nice. I believe that's the whole problem. We don't have any concrete information pertaining to this. Is it happening or not ?

I suggest that this forum doesn’t give them that power by ignoring their unproductive comments and continuing our discussion, or even take a moment to create a guideline for how we want to deal with trolls.

Thanks, I did that.. and now I'm putting it in here. Some of us want a response from the Dev's. This is an old issue that was addressed... I'm sure the issues the chat bubbles were causing can be corrected by now. As stated by a Dev last year.

The same could be said about your needs. You want more and you don't "need it" . Welcome to MMO's, at least the basic ones have this simple feature.

Dear developers and other employees of Bioware, Lucas Arts, Disney and Electronic Arts! A large part of the player base can't enjoy the game properly because of the lack of chat bubbles (aka speech bubbles). Therefore, on behalf of the affected players, we are hereby suggesting and formally requesting an option to toggle chat bubbles for spatial chat (/say, /yell, /emote). This thread has started in beta shortly after chat bubbles were removed from the game for "optimization", reposted after the forum wipe and has now run an incredibly long amount of time while still remaining constructive and has garnered a lot of support ever since. Fact is, chat bubbles are for the roleplaying and social aspects of the game what the group finder is for the PVE aspect and the warzone queing interface is for the PVP aspect. Both the latter have been implemented a long time ago, yet players of the social and roleplaying aspects have never received their equivalent - speech/chat bubbles. A large part of the player base, and an even larger part of the potential player base (and the player base that left the game because the feature has been missing so long and wish to return once it's implemented) needs an option to toggle on chat bubbles. Indeed, chat bubbles are a "must-have" feature to be able to enjoy the game and their playstyle for many of the socializers, roleplayers, casual players as well as players suffering from certain medical conditions out there. People are leaving the game every day due to this feature missing. On the bright side, many have voiced interest to return once the feature is implemented...but the longer it takes, the easier it will be to loose them permanently. Even simple chat bubbles or overhead text for /say chat would go a long way: Bare Minimum Implementation The following is the Bare Minimum Implementation that a large part of the player base feels to be a must-have and most would feel comfortable with: Add chat bubbles (or, at the very, very least overhead chat text) with all the typed text in /say, /yell and /emote chat channels to appear above the head of the player characters that are saying it (above the head of other player characters as well as your own), in addition to the same text being displayed in the chat window. Add a client-side option to toggle chat bubbles on/off on each computer individually so people can choose whether they wish to see chat bubbles above player characters' heads or not. We are all aware of why it was removed from beta... but that was over 2 yrs ago. ( In support of Gizmo)

I cannot believe BioWare lied to us... They said there working on chat bubbles.........but not a single peep. 2 years already. Whats going on with this basic MMO feature. You guys even read the forum discussion??? This is getting lame.... No response for the #1 Suggestion Box discussion.

So let me get this right, you think I was out of line because I quoted a response from a Dev from another post with the word RP ? The mere fact they they mentioned the word RP on another post referring to cartel market items and not responding to our queries is what is troublesome. How many pages are we up to since there last response on this matter? I highly doubt it was all because of me MajikMyst. Ashamed for making some some noise? I think not MajikMyst. However I do consider myself as a strong advocate. Also I don't think we are getting any favors as of recent. Rapid responses on cartel items and Revan's Robe color, however non-responsive to our queries. To some it all up, there those who will wait for someone to ask a question, and there are those who actually ask the question.

I wonder if they even know how upset the RP community is with the lack of communication concerning chat bubbles and other RP requested BASIC features. I wonder if they even care.... If you guys really care about RP, then perhaps you should show some love for RP such as chat bubbles and chairs without timers!! Funny how you don't cater to the RP community.

In the name of the maker can someone please ask about chat bubbles in a Community Cantina ?? So according to data-mining Pod Racers are comming Also we all know arenas are coming in addition to Tauntaun , All we need is chat bubbles and sitting in chairs then I can say we are nearly complete. I strongly wonder if BioWare really cares about the role-playing community. They have demonstrated that they don't give a dam* about us. This request along with chat bubbles are going to be ignored. Are you listening to us BioWare?

BioWare answer the darn question ! Are chat bubbles coming or not....? Then lock this thread !!! I've seen that you locked the Revan Armor thread and stated that the issue was done and over !!! Seriously guys....... How is that you address the Revans Armor issue and you cant even address your #1 Topic in the suggestion forums? What the purpose of having this if your not even give us an answer? Do the same for this !!! If chat bubbles are not being implemented then lock this thread and put us out of our misery!!!!!! Give your roleplayer community a little respect and give us the same type of respect that you have given to the others.

Your opinion does not matter when this forum is about "Chat Bubbles: We need an option to enable them for say, yell and emote chat! We are simply trying to get BioWare's attention in order to address our matter, for the people that wants this feature in our game in which you can toggle on or off. Toggle on or off.... get it?

"SWTOR does not need more garbage....." That why we suggest the ability to turn it off. Perhaps you should turn yourself off and keep your anti-chat bubbles remarks to yourself and continue QQ'ing over lack of PVE/PVP/Cartel content on other forums instead of stepping all over us.

C'mon guys.... Look at all of the new PVE, PVP, toys, etc, etc.... You mean to tell me that we can a have pocket sarlacc pit that takes up half of the screen implemented into the game.
