I've been watching this level 12 guy who logs in and out of multiple servers to farm security chests in level 47-50 planets, i reported him ages ago, no reply to ticket yet, and when they do reply, it will be "we will send to another team to investigate. An average credit seller character could get 2 weeks of farming in before he is banned from the moment he is first reported.

It's all lies! The game is flourshing, i know of at least 1 person that likes the game and i know of 3 players playing it right now!

how'd a level 12 get to illum?
He leveled straight to 12, did his class quests (12 is the earliest level you can finish the ship class quest at) got his ship, went to ilum.

Then remove the chest altogether and put a gold mob there instead that drops the same stuff as the chest.
That also works, but so does making the chests have a min level requirement to stop lowbies farming it.

Or spawn a level appropriate hostile mob (or three) at the same time as the chest.
Then they would just wait for someone to pull the mobs to loot the chest, thus getting the chests anyway and pissing real players off. You kill the spawn, they loot the chest.

Above link shows a level 12 character in ilum, who are parked at a lvl 50 security chest that drops a decent amount of credits. He saw I was there also and started talking to me, in chinese. Chinese are region blocked from our area, so...
He went to lengths to get around the region block.
He only leveled as high as necessary to use a ship, then went straight to ilum to farm chests. After i got the chest, he logged out, no doubt to log onto another lvl 12 character to farm chests elsewhere, probably even on other servers.
I've reported him with a ticket but they usually take a week to respond to player behaviour tickets.
PLEASE GIVE SECURITY CHESTS A MIN LEVEL REQUIREMENT TO BE OPENED TO STOP THIS FROM HAPPENING! if they are forced to use higher level chars to open the chests and get reguarly banned, they will find it's not worth it.

The turrets firing at the ship used to cause me massive fps issues before, but since yestaday, none atall, i'm sure the turret effects look smaller than before.
I did upgrade my pc yestaday, but i only upgraded from one model of gtx 460 to an OC version of it, and switched my harddrive for a SSD.

Conversely, i upgraded my GPU to the same model GPU, just a different edition of it, and saw a huge difference in FPS, it's gone from a slideshow in alderaan and imperiel fleet, to completely playable.
All I did was switch was 460 GTX 1 GB standard edition for the 460 GTX 1 GB palit sonic platinum overclocked edition, the OC edition is like 20-25% factory overclocked.
I also switched from a crappy harddrive to a force series 3 SSD.
Now i don't have fps issues anymore, hard to say if it was the graphics card or hard drive though.

Wow, it's a miracle, well, semi miracle, i just learned one of the two recipes it hasn't given me yet, i got the accuracy one.
It only took over 500 crafts before that one was given.
The dumbest thing is it's the surge stat that i really want, it took 500+ crafts to get the accuracy stat, i've got the other 3 stats, only the surge stat remains...

My impression is that there are (typically) three blue possibilities for every green and three purple possibilities for every blue.
Also, you might want to put some time into boosting your companions. It supposedly helps their crit odds. Did you level 100% with PVP or space combat or something?
There are 3 blues for greens, and 5 purples for blues. Read the stickied thread on this forum.
Affection does nothing because companions are not involved in the reverse engineering process.

I think it is intentional. My belief is that they have nerfed purples completely in the game. Since one of the patches I've stopped seeing as many purple drops (stopped after alderaan). After 10 levels of not seeing any at all. I picked up one for a shield last night on Voss, it dropped from a silver or regular (I think. definitely not a gold elite. I haven't had a single purple from a gold elite since Tatooine).
Shortly thereafter people started complaining about RE'ing to get purples. So I think it was an across the board thing.
I doubt it's a purple thing, i have gotten 3 purple recipes out of the 500+ crafts, there's 5 possible purple recipes i could get, accuracy or surge would be nice since i'm making a dps spec item, but those are the only two recipe versions i haven't got.
I moved to a different armor slot item and within 40 crafts i'd procced 3 purple recipes, including accuracy and surge. Something seems wrong with the accuracy and surge recipes for the item i am on.

Because I did, and that above link is my current craft window, showing me crafting these blue lvl 49 items with enough mats on me atm to craft over 100 more of them. I constantly restock materials too so i'll never run out. My inventory is full of 340 skill epic underworld trading missions, but i mainly just buy the blue mats i need from the auction house.
All i've gotten so far in purple recipes from reverse engineering 500+ blue lvl 49 bracers is the presence stat, shield stat, and haste stat.
All of these stats are worthless, the blue item already has the critical stat, now it needs the surge stat, accuracy wouldn't be bad either, but after 500+ reverse engineers i still don't have either of those.
I've also had the 3 recipes i got already over and over and over, every now and then I get the message "you already know that recipe".
Is this bad luck or is this bugged?

I'm at well over 500 crafts on blue lvl 49 bracers, been trying for a week to get it to give me the endowment purple recipe, every now and then i get "you already know that recipe" which means it gave me one i already have, which is the haste, shield rating or presence recipe. The two offensive recipes, surge or accuracy, seem impossible to get.
I got sick of trying and made a different piece of 49 armor, in 40 crafts i got 3 purple recipes including the surge stat one.
It just seems to me like the lvl 49 exoskeleton bracers may be bugged.

If only they were fixing issues that players care about (ability lag comes to mind as top prio) then it'd be fine. But this patch only fixes exploits. Big deal.
It fixed an exploit and a dupe that allowed players to generate infinite amounts of items and credits, as a result, some characters have hundreds of millions of credits.
Sure, no big deal.

For a while now this level 25 guy has been logging in and out, farming the security chests in a level 47-50 zone, and another I know off farms them in a level 50 zone, and that guy is only level 36, both guys have weird names, are guildless, and only log in to get the chests, they are permanently logged at these locations.
I've complained about this level 25 guy on the forum before, fanbois got mad and said i was just a poor player who was jealous that I never thought of doing what he is doing.
Well, i just got a full chatlog of him admitting he is an RMTER and that he logs in to farm these chests over multiple servers, that's why they camp at the chests and log in and out on time for the spawn, they don't stay logged in because they are switching to farming alts on other servers.
The guy kinda closed up a bit when he realised that I wasn't a credit seller and started taking a long time to answer simple questions.
Also, i reported him to Bioware a week ago, no action has been taken, my ticket is being ignored.

I do not ask for the valor grind to be made easier, where do I ask that? I am warning people that there is no curve to the valor requirements, just a vertical 4000% upward slant once you reach rank 51, something which could have been avoided if they had more evening distributed the valor requirements over the full 60 levels, rather than having 100 valor per level more requirement from 1-50 then +4000 at 51+.

11 pages of moaning? You mean responding to 15 pages of drivel accusations such as "you don't bind all your keys therefore you suck regardless of how good you stats reveal you to be".
Also, nowhere in this thread did i say the grind to 60 valor should be shorter, i said the valor requirements should have been evened out among all 60 valor levels, instead of stringing the player along to level 51 and then slapping on a 4000% more valor per level requirement than 1-50.
If the game flaws don't drive subscribers away, this troll filled incest pool they call the forum will. The same people who say they don't want this game to be like the WoW forums, are the ones making it like the WoW forums, or worse, i could never imagine the WoW forum being as bad as this one.

So you are one of those people who are to good in MMOs to stop playing them or just don't have anything else to do with their lifetime that they have to pay a monthly subrscription cost, so they can play a game which they don't really enjoy?
Come on...wasn't your "argument" that it takes so much time to get valor 60? But if there is nothing else to play, why even complaint?
"Too" good to stop playing them? I cancelled my sub and the next two weeks will be my last in this game. My fiance, who also has an account, has unsubbed hers aswell. I've been saying all along that SWTOR will lose most of its players once the free month is up. There's just too much wrong with the game.
I also don't "need" to be playing an mmo all the time, i've just had lack of things to do for the past few weeks but that's no longer the case as of next week.

Actually I never got into WoW because the game was far too carebear for me, however as the years went on and all that got made was WoW clones, such as the one we're playing now, SWTOR, i just ended up playing them anyway for the sheer lack of anything else to play.
