  1. Haha! Love this. I lol'd and my dog looked at me funny. Just popping in to say hi - glad you're back! Looking forward to what you have in store for our baby companions, especially the ones we haven't seen yet. I'd love to see how Baby Arcann (and Baby Ghost Thexan) interact with the rest of the companions, and if Mister Khem will (try to) eat them. Also, hello to all familiar (and unfamiliar!) names and faces I'm seeing here
  2. Haha! My scoundrel healer is the daughter of my JK and Doc, so I can't even imagine what kind of advice Doc would give her on that kind of thing - though I will say that ultimately, Avareyne does take after her father in more ways than just going into the medical profession ...
  3. You're most welcome! I love hearing about other people's headcanons, and having the opportunity to share some of my own as well. It sounds like Andronikos has a similar role in Naelah's and Andrina's stories. He too taught Andie how to shoot, drive a speeder, and fly a starship. The Sky Princess was named for her (and her ship, the Star Rover, for him). And he might have suggested that she go into the smuggling business (but, still being in the military, couldn't exactly help her start it). I do understand not wanting to even think about that daddy thing ... my sniper (Alleyne) and vanguard (Laralise) are in the same situation and I get moments of at times while I'm playing through their stories. It's probably worse for Lara, who has her dad around from the very beginning, though I have to say that first scene on Ord Mantell plays well as seasoned-veteran Dad telling his newly graduated daughter how things really work in the military. Back on topic, though - I'm replaying a bunch of stories (RL has been incredibly busy, but will be a lot better after next week, so I'll really get into it then) and am trying really hard not to resort to my usual arm-candy playstyle so I don't advance those romances before meeting Theron. I'm going to eventually have to redo a bunch of stories, especially those in the second-generation who had absolutely no business "romancing" daddy/uncle (but did anyway, because it was years ago and they were on a different server and/or had a different place on the family tree at the time). I hope to have screenshots to share with you soon enough. I'm enjoying the ones you all are posting and hope to be able to give a little something back.
  4. I'd really love to see this too, even though I have a feeling that going forward, romanceable companions/NPCs will all be bi so they can be romanced by everyone who'd like to (and it might be easier from a dev perspective to do it this way). However, I'd like to, at least once, try to flirt with a male companion/NPC, only for him to tell me something like, "I'd be the luckiest guy in the galaxy if that did it for me ..."
  5. Haha, me too! - but I still can't help but (privately) feel overprotective whenever I see Quinn hate. I love your character concept for Naelah! It would be weird, I agree, to have her dad on the ship with her ("no, honey, you can't make out with that Darmas guy!"), but she could potentially learn a lot from him as well. As for me, I totally want Andronikos on my smuggler's ship - he's Andrina's half-brother and I knew immediately that I want to have him on her ship (if it's at all possible). In my headcanon, they had a bit of a falling-out over him marrying a Sith and turning his back on the Republic and the family, so maybe this will be a chance for them to smooth things over after all these years of not speaking.
  6. Signed. Let's get to work on this. Together.
  7. I like healing because I enjoy playing god with the lives of stupid people. The pretty red circle on the ground is (most often) not a buff. I'm kidding. Mostly. In all seriousness, though, being a healer makes me pay more attention to the smaller details of a given boss/raid encounter, so I can anticipate how the other players in my group might react to any given boss/fight mechanic, and prepare and act accordingly. In doing so, I also get to learn the play styles of my fellow group members and kind of get to know what to expect from them. For example, I had this one sorc guildie years ago who (a) constantly pulled aggro from the tank, and (b) refused to bubble himself or use whatever healing abilities he had at his disposal because "it wasn't his job to heal," so I knew that I had to babysit - I mean, pay more attention to whatever stupid he might pull that day. That, to me, is what makes the job interesting. Frustrating sometimes, but still interesting.
  8. AKHadeed, I love the pic! I admire everyone who can draw; the best I can usually do is a stick figure, and even that is debatable. Xonell, best of luck to you! Hope we will see you back sooner rather than later, though. I too am disappointed to have not heard more about Theron (and other people too, but mostly Theron). I know it was supposed to be mostly about the Sacrifice trailer, but it would've been nice to hear something. Even the thing with Malgus they kind of walked back, so I don't know what to make of that, either. I haven't been able to find too much else about what happened at the cantina (I've read what Dulfy has posted already). Is there any place where we can find out more about what they said there?
  9. (Incoming quote spam because I'm a few pages behind and I want to reply to a few of you!) I've wanted to shoot her in the face since I met her on Taris. Even back then I thought she was short-sighted and intolerant of people who didn't see things the way she did. Haha! I'm on Shadowlands mainly, but I have a few alts on other servers and have been trying to find an excuse to roll one on Begeren Colony. If this becomes a thing, I might have to come on over. I'm pretty sure my Andrina would just about die happy if the first thing she saw after waking up was Theron. I would love that. Like you said, it's his turn anyway to save us.
  10. Thank you! I sincerely hope Theron does come back, and that we hear something from the SDCC Story Panel about where he might be (which would also show us that our voices are being heard by the devs!), but like I've mentioned before, his coming back might be the big in-game story reveal partway through, which would be cool as well. If that's the case, the suspense will probably kill me.
  11. My guild at launch was stuffed full of DS Sith Inquisitors and I wanted to be different. So I rolled a SW and decided she'd be LS. I didn't know anything about the story when I made that decision, but now I'm so glad I did. The moment I met the fat buffoon that is Baras, I knew I'd made the right choice story-wise. I thoroughly enjoyed trolling him
  12. I just got it last week! I'm only a few chapters in right now, but I'm loving it so far. I've got another GS (currently L31) from 12x whom I can probably pair with Theron. Because of the 12x I think my affection with Corso is somewhere around 1000 - thus leaving me open to romance Theron with impunity in FE.
  13. The voice talent is one of my favorite things about this game, and I love getting to know all the VAs through their characters here. I also really enjoy seeing our VAs' other work - I just saw Lydia Leonard (our Lana) on Broadway last month, and she was fabulous as Anne Boleyn. (Nicholas Boulton, our Lord Draahg, also had a supporting role in the show.) Amadahy beat me to it, but yes, Tara Strong is Risha and Holiday; Simon Templeman could certainly lend his voice to a new character, seeing as Grand Moff Kilran isn't really saying much these days. As for my VA wishlist? Hm, off the top of my head - Sean Bean, because reasons. Though that would also mean that his character will probably die ...
  14. I hope so too! Andrina (my GS) was instantly smitten with the guy when they met in Forged Alliances I, even though Corso was standing right there (I switched him out pretty quickly for HK-51). Since then, Andie/Theron has become kind of a thing in my headcanon (and not "just a fling" either - I'm still kind of working out the finer details, but as it stands right now, Theron > Corso). Maybe they're purposely not telling us, so it's a huge reveal when he all of a sudden turns up mid-story and is like, "Hey there, been looking for me?" Hey, I'm not supposed to have a reason to like Gul'dan ...
  15. Not by a long shot. I've been lurking on this thread for far too long and I will be silent no longer! Here's to hoping we'll hear something sooner rather than later. My GS is getting incredibly worried. Updated my sig to show support and solidarity.
  16. Lana's VA is Lydia Leonard, whom I got to see last month as Anne Boleyn in Wolf Hall: Parts I and II on Broadway. When she first appeared on stage and started speaking, I was like, "Lana! I'd know that voice anywhere!" However, I do agree that Lana's current appearance could be better. Right now, she looks like she has really bad chronic allergies, or some sort of spice addiction.
  17. Dear characters, Thank you for inspiring me to write all the things I've posted here thus far, and all the unfinished pieces I have yet to post, and all the fics that have yet to be written. And thank you for keeping me up super-late at night, preventing me from getting a good night's sleep and completely messing up my sleep schedule because you keep poking my brain until ungodly hours of night/early morning. How do I explain "insomnia from fanfic"? I didn't have this problem before. It's all your fault. But I love you all anyway. Love, Me -- P.S. Mags - congratulations, I'm really happy for you! <3
  18. My first foray into AU territory! Fortuna Audentes Iuvat: Andrina Revel AU. Night of the Living Prompt: Seven Virtues Fortune Favors the Brave Andrina, Aric Jorgan, and Corso Riggs. 2,450 words.
  19. First Day on the Job Varenne, Torian, and the beginning of a beautiful friendship. This takes place three years after the first part of my Teachers and Heroes entry. Some minor BH Taris spoilers. 850 words. -- A Dubious Endorsement
  20. @Fino: Totally agree with Ald on his first impressions. Quinn's so sexy when he's mad. Why so serious? I liked seeing their first impressions of each other, knowing how they end up. I wish we could've at least asked Quinn why he chose to come with us when he supposedly had the pick of the entire galaxy, because it was so freaking transparent - but like Ald said, at least he's cute ... @Kabe: I'm not quite finished with the JK storyline (she's L44), so I was a bit hesitant to read your story with its spoiler caveat - but I'm very glad I did. I absolutely loved the Saresh Drinking Game. Every time that holo in the Taris spaceport turned on, I wanted to change the channel to The Real Housewives of Coruscant or something. (I hate how the voice follows me out of the spaceport, if I leave before she's done talking - I'll be standing in the middle of Olaris and then I hear "TOGETHER!" and it freaks me out.) - I really liked how Remi and Lord Scourge, after all was said and done, were able to give each other a purpose to move forward. Who knows, maybe Scourge will @Striges: It's an interesting point that Andalar didn't join the Great Hunt, sacrificing honor for honor - prestige for principle. There are so few bounty hunters who operate mainly on principle, and it's refreshing to see that some of them strive to do their jobs with honor. I liked Rixik's reaction to his decision to do that, but I would ask, do "honorable" and "reasonable, intelligent, and practical" have to necessarily be mutually exclusive? Andalar's a good foil for Rixik - they complement each other, but I can see why Rixik would consider him a threat to his survival, and (presumably) vice versa. - I loved the balance Jurial struck between fighting and contemplation - doing both for what he believed was right. I especially loved his conversation with the captain at the end - it's a very important lesson for all of us to remember, that it's not how long you've been in a certain position, it's how you conduct yourself and how you use the qualities you possess that make you worthy of holding that position. I'm a recent law school graduate, so I can really sympathize with Jurial's point of view. I'll definitely remember what he said in the coming months. @almostinsane: I love how Vette was able to see in Xerxes the things he couldn't (or wouldn't) see in himself. He really seemed to be set on fulfilling the traditional Sith 'archetype' that he was willing to ignore, or change, who he really was - and I'm glad Vette was able to begin to show him that he didn't have to be a stereotypical Sith to fulfill the Sith ideals. Vette's much better at reading people than I'm sure most would give her credit for, and her comments, from what little she's seen so far of Xerxes, were very perceptive. @Tatile: Aw, Broan/Rochester <3. It's such a great follow-up to your last story. I'm glad we get to see how far he's come from that day at the club, and that he's happier now. Also, I totally do the same thing! I find that it makes for a great ending. @QwibQwib: Welcome! Kaaste is a hilarious drunk!Sith, and Briel's quiet amusement at Kaaste's antics while still being deferential was great. Wonder what will happen with them (or if Kaaste will wake up tomorrow and not remember what happened, or how he got home). I look forward to seeing more of them in the future! @Hoyden: Oh, Crae. Even from the beginning he's quietly examining, probing, prying. Devious joy at finding out other people's secrets that they find difficult to talk about, and are probably telling him in confidence. I really enjoyed seeing how he and Skari began their alliance (if that's in fact what it is ...). Here we go again with me wanting to believe that he means well - and this time, by the end, I almost believe it. Almost.
  21. Elara Dorne Corso Riggs T7-01 Jaesa Willsaam (LS)
  22. Night of the Living Prompt: What’s In A Name? As if there weren’t already enough of these, but I just had to. Introducing Catheryn (Eryn), Sith warrior and eldest of the four Girard sisters. With everyone’s favorite whipping boy/lust object – you know who I’m talking about – and Vette. Some spoilers for the end of SW Balmorra. 900 words. -- Captain Hot Pants Author's Notes:
  23. High praise indeed. Thanks, Bright! In Andie's words -- means a lot coming from you. I'll admit I was a bit apprehensive about making one of my characters related to a companion from the other faction, but the pieces somehow managed to fall into place. I was pleasantly surprised! Haha, talking about Sith in front of a drunk Corso could end really, really badly. I'm glad he decided to go to the restrooms when he did. As for Andronikos and Andrina making up, I haven't thought that far ahead! But I hope so too, for both their sakes. Haha! Nah, Corso was just drunk and needed to use the little farm boys' room. He's more of a lightweight than he'll admit. Andrina's got this thing about doing the right thing all the time - going against the traditional smuggler stereotype, as it were, even more so now that she's seen the direction her half-brother's decided to take. Thank you, everyone! <3 -- And now, for my own shout-outs: Hoyden: Oh wow. Crae's clinical observations about everyone on the ship were very astute and honestly a little creepy - like they were lab specimens it was his job to watch or something. Every time I see him in your stories, I'd like to think that he really does mean well in everything he does, but then he goes and does something creepy and weird, and I start wondering again. Skari's crew reminds me of an oddball dysfunctional family, but it works, and I couldn't imagine them any other way. Tatile: Aww! I'd give Broan a hug if I could - that's so awful and I feel terrible for how that night out ended for him. I'm glad he's since been able to find happiness elsewhere. Also, I love the image of Jedi padawans trying to get into clubs with fake IDs. Guess things aren't so different elsewhere in the galaxy, huh?
  24. Night of the Living Prompt: Family; incorporating elements of I Love This Bar. This is the first in a series of introductions, because I have way too many characters, each with their own story to tell. Introducing Andrina, smuggler extraordinaire. With Andronikos Revel, Ariena, and a non-speaking cameo from Corso Riggs. This is nowhere near Andrina’s favorite experience in a cantina, per se, but a memorable one nonetheless. A few Smuggler and SI story elements, but nothing I’d call full-on spoilers. The general details of Andronikos’ backstory are from the SW:TOR Encyclopedia. 1,800 words. -- Andy and Andie
