  1. Which is why I am glad we are getting combat logs to get raw data and see how much damage we are actually doing and instead of dealing with theory crafting numbers.
  2. http://www.torhead.com/ability/bLxkw1J/backstab As I said backstab WITHOUT waylay is 10 energy. As far as energy nerf: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=364399 It helps to read.
  3. And got a 5% buff in damage, not including what damage waylay will add on top of the 5%. Without waylay its 10 energy, so the energy use got reduced. And culling will increase its damage.
  4. I have to say at least we are getting combat logs so we can see how much damage we are really doing.
  5. Waylay boosts lacerate damage tho, how much don't know tho if it gives us back the 10% loss or not. Hopefully it gives us more damage boost.
  6. Below is the actual patch notes for us in 1.2. Where are the nerfs? The red is my doing. Seems to me we got buffed.
  7. Guess what mmo's are never finished. You guys bashed TOR for it bugs and yet not one of you even at admit to the bugs WoW has, some which have been in game since it launched.
  8. You really think mmo's will be lanuch bug free? lol. If you where there when WoW launched then you should know video games and that with software in general is released with bugs. Wanting that bugless mmo is nothing but a pipe dream you and the entitlement kiddies want.
  9. Worse. Analogy. Ever. You clearly never played STO with such a statement.
  10. Not in this case its not. The kiddies wanted WoW in space and went nuts when they realized it wasn't what they wanted. In short they bought ice cream thinking they where going to get a cheeseburger. If you go back say a 100 pages you will see how many kiddies wanted TOR to be WoW in space with their list of demands.
  11. Someone fails at economics thats for sure.
  12. Dude we are talking about EA, not that is saying much.
  13. Uh to help protect your account maybe? You may find it a hassle but you want to answer a security question or get your account high jack by some guy in china?
  14. Mommy Bioware didn't make the game that I wanted and now I am going to throw a fit over it. Got to love the entitlement mindset.
  15. It won't be the last mmo to use it as the Warhammer 40k mmo I bet will be P2P, but as far as the industry standard goes it will shift to some sort of f2p model.
  16. Betthesda Rockstar/Take Two Sony Nintendo Microsoft Valve All those companies and I am sure others that I didn't think from the top of my head can make a major mmo happen. Lets not forget THQ and them making Warhammer 40k Dark Millennium Online. There is no doubt the p2p model is dying, but its never going to totally die off as there will be mmo 5 years from now commanding a sub.
  17. I am pretty sure that uses Cryptics in house engine. If they used the Hero engine I think the game would be a tad bit better than what it is.
  18. The main reason why WoW became as successful as they did was being at the right time, at the right place with the right product. That is it really.
  19. The thing is a lot of gamers want instant gratification. They don't want to wait 5 minutes for pvp or say a dungeon. They want to hit that button and bam be in pvp or on a dungeon. Not only that they want to be able to access the best gear with little effort as possible as you said you don't have the time to camp some tree for 40 hours. As they only got "5 minutes" and yet they are going to be playing the game for at least an hour if not more per play session.
  20. What was expected and what was actually advertised are two different things that people seem to fail at a lot on these forums. If you think all the WoW boys packed up and left the servers be empty I bet you be wrong. In case you haven't notice there is a huge casual gamer market out there, which Blizzard is having trouble keeping around hence the raid finder they are coming out with and making the game even more simplistic with cute panda's. SWTOR isn't aimed really at the WoW market. Why because the "WoW communtiy" want WoW in space? Sorry you can take your entitlement else where. BioWare making this WoW in space will kill the game for sure.
  21. You forgot taxes, I know it may seem to be nick picky, but if EA is doing the accounting for the game in California the taxes here for business is 8.84% for the state and 8.75% for city (EA headquarters are in Los Angeles). So really they more need a year of at least 900k really to recover their costs basically. As you also have to figure in some unexpected costs like paying a cage monkey over time or paying for new servers as one went bad or you maxed out the ones you got.
  22. The why part is easy to understand, its because they have an entitlement mind set and majority of them don't have the slightest clue when it comes to programming.
  23. If the op is willing to move to Los Angeles EA may have a job for you: https://jobs.ea.com/search/view.do?id=a0z50000000sGdIAAU
  24. Ditto. Yes there are bugs with this game, but its programmed far better than STO and it shows.
